Blue Mountain Escape is a 3-bedroom Mediterranean gem with accommodations for eight guests located south of 30A and featuring soaring ceilings, travertine floors, rich earth tones and burnished woods. Only 60 yards from public beach access in pristine Blue Mountain Beach. This stunning home is dog-friendly for an additional fee.
A high stucco archway welcomes guests to the covered entry, where double glass doors reveal this home’s sumptuous interior. Step into the living area, featuring large flat screen TV, integrated stereo system and ample seating. Designed for entertaining, the living, dining and kitchen areas flow together and are defined by lavish details including Tuscan columns, burnished coffered ceiling and deep crown molding.
The kitchen features dark glazed cabinets with granite countertops. Stainless appliances include side-by-side refrigerator/freezer, electric range/oven with ceramic cooktop, dishwasher and microwave. There is seating for three at the granite-topped bar. Adjacent to the kitchen, the dining area boasts a heavy granite table with seating for eight along a row of windows overlooking the private pool. A pair of tall glass doors open onto the pool deck from the living room.
Just past the kitchen at the rear of the home is a spacious media room with large flat screen TV, oversize sofa sleeper, and two upholstered chairs. Carpeted in a subtle oatmeal/taupe stripe, this room has a large walk-in closet and private bath and can be used as a fourth bedroom. The bathroom boasts a 9-foot long shower with dual showerheads and frameless glass enclosure, plus a granite-topped dual vanity.
Exit the glass doors at the rear of the media room and enter a private shaded oasis. The spacious pavestone patio is furnished with table seating for eight, a gas grill and double swing. A path leads to the adjacent gated pool area on the home’s north side. The pool may be heated for an additional fee.
Inside to the right of the front entry at the foot of the stairs is a half bath with travertine wainscoting. The wood staircase is finished with bronze railing and leads to the three second-floor bedrooms. The second floor has 10-foot ceilings and is carpeted in a neutral oatmeal/taupe stripe. All bedrooms are along the left (south) side of the hallway, and the first two have balcony access on the home’s south side. A wall of windows along the right overlooks the pool area. The first alcove off the landing, at the entrance to the first bedroom, features a laundry closet containing a stackable washer/dryer unit. This bedroom is comfortably furnished with queen bed and armoire w/TV. The private bath features a walk-in shower with travertine walls and floor and single granite-topped vanity.
The second bedroom features a king bed and wall-mounted flat screen TV. The private bath has a combination tub/shower with travertine floors and tub surround and a single granite-topped vanity.
At the end of the hallway is the master, overlooking both the pool and patio areas. This bedroom has a large walk-in closet, wide dual vanity with granite countertop, and combination tub/shower with frameless glass enclosure.
The tower room on the third floor is the jewel in the crown, furnished with a wide upholstered chaise, it is the perfect spot for reading or napping.
Blue Mountain Escape is located on the Timpoochee Trail, a 19-mile long paved pedestrian and bike path running the length of Scenic Highway 30A from Dune Allen Beach to Rosemary Beach. The trail ambles along the coast, past rare coastal dune lakes and through the picturesque neighborhoods unique to 30A. A health food store, bakery and bike rental shop are all a short stroll away. Plentiful shopping, dining and entertainment can be found at Watercolor and Seaside, approximately 4 miles to the east.
Blue Mountain Beach is one of the Beaches of South Walton, encompassing 26 miles of pristine coastline. It is the only destination in the country to have its entire coastline certified as “Blue Wave” by the Clean Beaches Council for it commitment to maintaining unspoiled shoreline and natural habitat.
