Want to spend some time in a truly Mexican town on the Sea of Cortez?
There is a reason our listing has the most guest comments of any property in La Paz, our unit, our customer service, and our location can not be beat, period!
Our unit is on the third floor and has two connected balconies with ocean views and surf sounds. The unique six story condominium building sits right on the beach in the amazing Bay of La Paz.
Our condominium offers you accommodation for up to 4 guests. But 2 people would be very comfortable.
You will enjoy a real Mexican interior designed condominium with one Cal-king size bed, a queen size Murphy bed in the sitting area of the bedroom. A couch that pulls out to a full size bed, two full baths, a large living room, dining room and a fully equipped kitchen.
At La Concha, when you step onto your balcony you will feel the relaxing and calming sound of the ocean... Our condominium resort lies on the gentle and peaceful Bahia of La Paz, where traffic, crime, air pollution, noise pollution, and casinos don’t exist.
Snorkel or scuba dive over miles of stunning untouched coral reef teeming with brilliant exotic fish.
La Paz's first golf course opened in 2009. The first Gary Player course in Mexico opened in the fall of 2010. This course is about a mile from our condo.
Maybe you’d like to try your hand at deep-sea fishing, sailing, or renting your own vessel for the day? There are many activities just waiting for you!
La Paz is the capital of the state of Baja California Sur, It is a real Mexican city with just a the right touch of tourism. It offers a balance between small city activities and tranquility and, at the same time, is central to exploration of whale watching further north, art and architecture in Todos Santos, and the full-on tourist activities in the mecca of Cabo San Lucas, 90 miles to the south.
Although we are located next to the hotel this is a stand alone condominium building, with its own pool, hot tub and is very quiet. You can go to the front desk of the hotel and create a charge and be able to bill food and drink and even room service to your room during your stay. It is like having the best of both worlds, a resort atmosphere with good food, drinks, and some great people watching, and than you can walk back to your own pool and relax in the peace and quite of a condo area that usually has less than 25% of the units occupied at any one time. This place is true paradise with so many options at your doorstep.
Give yourself the opportunity to experience the most affordable and relaxing vacation ever!
How can we help plan your La Paz Vacation?

I stayed in Paul's condo for a week in April. I have lived in La Paz for years working in tourism and have always wanted to stay in the La Concha condos so I made it happen this spring. I was most excited about the quiet beachfront location, the lovely sunset jacuzzi and the fun snorkeling spot out front where you can spot all kinds of fish and rays. I was working on the computer for a majority of most days and this spot was ideal with a great internet connection too. I work as a guide for Baja Expeditions and was called out for a day trip to the island completing the vacation-esque feel I was going for - we snorkeled with the sea lions, had a great lunch on a secluded beach and saw jumping mantas, blue whales, humpbacks and tons of fish and birds! The kitchen was great and I cooked most of my meals, breaking only for delicious chocolate cake and strawberry daiquiris from the restaurant and bar next door - they deliver to the condo for free! Sleeping with the serenading waves was highly rejuvenating! I caught up on some movie watching too, they have a great DVD library. I will highly recommend Paul's condo to all kinds of future Baja explorers and I look forward to inviting my friends and family out to experience it too!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

I would have probably given our stay this time an average rating but because the owners were so accomodating and great to work with i will rate it 4 star. When we arrived the air conditioning would not cool, The owners did every thing possible in making our stay comfortable by having us stay in their other unit while it got fixed, and compensated us for our inconvenince. Having a VRBO ourselves we are aware that things do break. The condo is in a great location and it's great having the seperate pool and hot tub from the hotel though having the hotel, right next store for food and drinks wasmgreat,Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.
Owner response: The air conditioner stopped working on the day this very patient coupled arrived. Our unit has a wireless thermostat so I can check it from anywhere in the world. After I made a few adjustments I was able to tell the unit was not working properly. I had the local property manager out with a repairman the next day. They were able to get the unit running but it was a temp fix while waiting for ordered parts to come in. It failed again so I moved our guests to another condo in the same building. The air conditioning unit has now been fully repaired. We service the air conditioner every year to help reduce unexpected problems.

We stayed for the second time at LaConcha Condo 306. Best location in La Paz, easy to beaches and town. Employees on site at condo and adjoining hotel were friendly and helpful. Condo owner is responsive and easy to work with. Great to have two bathrooms. We used the full kitchen for breakfast and making food for the beach. Area restaurants excellent and less expensive than USA. Loved Espiritu for sea lions, birds and fish and Ibbarra Pottery. The local culture is warm and friendly, never felt unsafe.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

We enjoyed a great vacation in this condo which must be one of the best choices in La Paz. The views of the bay are magnificent and we were lucky enough to watch dolphins from the terrace on our first morning. It is a convenient base for sightseeing in Baja California Sur and it is a very short drive to the best beaches around La Paz. It was handy to be able to use the neighbouring hotel facilities and their restaurant was very good. This was a great option when we did not feel like driving into town. The condo is close to town, but it is too far to walk to the restaurants. The condo is clean and well appointed; it is exactly as described in the listing. The owners are easy to deal with and quick to respond to emails and questions. The sunsets from the terrace are amazing. We would not hesitate to recommend this condo to anyone visiting La Paz. Had a great week in La Paz, condo was clean and everything worked well. Dealing with the owner was easy and the keys showed up well in advance of our trip. The owner was very helpful with all of our questions and we had a local contact if something was not working, Fishing was awsome, plenty of dorado. The new Gary Player coarse for golf is a must!! For dinner hit the Cowboy BBQRecommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

Our stay in the condo was everything we hoped for. The location was perfect, right on the water, quiet and a short drive into town or beaches. We enjoyed mornings on the balcony, watching the boats and birds go by. The pool and beach was never crowded. One afternoon, Arturo from the hotel restaurant even delivered hamburgers right to our palapa! Everyone we met in Mexico was friendly and helpful. I never felt unsafe. You can't believe everything you hear in the news about travel to Mexico. It's a big country and some places are safe and some are not, just like the United States. La Paz is not a crowded tourist trap, but an authentic, inviting town rich in Mexican culture. We enjoyed delicious meals at LaConcha Hotel, Rancho Viejo, and others in town. It was relatively inexpensive to eat out, compared to back home. We drove to Tecalote Beach, Las Cruces Beach and visited the Ibarra Pottery. Everyone's favorite was snorkeling with the sea lions at Isla Esperitu. This was our second trip to LaPaz. We will definitely go again and stay at LaConcha condos. Paul was easy to work with, and responded quickly to our emails. Thanks for a great vacation!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

This condo is as advertised and rated. A lovely, well-tended, peaceful retreat. The living room and bedroom open out onto a generously proportioned balcony. At night, we opened the sliding glass doors and feel asleep to the sound of the waves on the sand. Breakfast overlooking the blue ocean starts your day with a serene smile. Kitchen is well kitted out. Place is clean - not a bug did I see! Only tiny negative: no hair dryer. At first I was dismayed, but then I let go of my uptight every-day ways and let my hair go "au natural", which I ended up kind of liking.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

This was my first experience with VRBO but not my last. Even though the description of this condo is well written, I was taken back by the quality, the view and the setting. It was the perfect way to escape the snow of the northwest in December. We followed the advise of previous visitors and ate at all of the recommended restaurants. One more that needs to be mentioned is the restaurant at La Concha hotel. We were so impressed with their Chef's Special that we met with the chef and he allowed us to take pictures in the kitchen during preparation. These pictures will be shared with nutrition students.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, girls getaway.

We had a piece of paradise at the La Concha Condo #306 on May 2010. Outstanding location with a panoramic view of the ocean and a tropical breeze. Great sunrises and sunsets that will energize your body and soul. Plenty of fun things to do like Tecolute Beach for lunch,a walk along the beach, fishing in the bay, swimming in the pool at the condo,a taix ride to Todas Santos, and much more. You have alot to do or just enjoy the ambiance of the beauty of La Paz and the people. Can't wait to go back.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2004
About the owner: Here we are enjoying the hot tub on New Years 2011 almost 2012!
Why the Owner Chose La Paz:
We have been traveling to La Paz for 20 years. Our first trip was via boat. We sailed around the islands and beaches north of town. We met some very nice folks who invited us to stay on their boat the following year. We stayed at La Concha Resort the third year and stayed here every year since. We traveled all over the La Paz area prior to buying at La Concha. We wanted to make sure there wasn't a nicer place around town we would enjoy more. After two years of looking we purchased our first condo at La Concha. This condo is our second home. We travel to it a minimum of four times a year. We live in Monterey County and it is a easy trip from Monetary airport through Los Angeles to La Paz.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
Our building is the only condominium building directly on the beach in all La Paz. The building is very well maintained and the staff is second to none. We have 24 hour security and the property is secure. The condo owners are a fun group of diverse people. We enjoy entertaining our neighbors and sitting around the pool reading. Next door is the La Concha Hotel. This hotel has two restaurants, two bars and sits on the same beach. We are able to take advantage of the hotel's amenities while being able to retreat to the private pool of our condominium building. There are staff members at the Hotel who have been helping us have a good time for 17 years! We loved the area so much we are purchasing a second condo!
This is a nice slice of the world!
