We enjoyed a great vacation in this condo which must be one of the best choices in La Paz. The views of the bay are magnificent and we were lucky enough to watch dolphins from the terrace on our first morning. It is a convenient base for sightseeing in Baja California Sur and it is a very short drive to the best beaches around La Paz. It was handy to be able to use the neighbouring hotel facilities and their restaurant was very good. This was a great option when we did not feel like driving into town. The condo is close to town, but it is too far to walk to the restaurants. The condo is clean and well appointed; it is exactly as described in the listing. The owners are easy to deal with and quick to respond to emails and questions. The sunsets from the terrace are amazing. We would not hesitate to recommend this condo to anyone visiting La Paz. Had a great week in La Paz, condo was clean and everything worked well. Dealing with the owner was easy and the keys showed up well in advance of our trip. The owner was very helpful with all of our questions and we had a local contact if something was not working, Fishing was awsome, plenty of dorado. The new Gary Player coarse for golf is a must!! For dinner hit the Cowboy BBQ

Our stay in the condo was everything we hoped for. The location was perfect, right on the water, quiet and a short drive into town or beaches. We enjoyed mornings on the balcony, watching the boats and birds go by. The pool and beach was never crowded. One afternoon, Arturo from the hotel restaurant even delivered hamburgers right to our palapa! Everyone we met in Mexico was friendly and helpful. I never felt unsafe. You can't believe everything you hear in the news about travel to Mexico. It's a big country and some places are safe and some are not, just like the United States. La Paz is not a crowded tourist trap, but an authentic, inviting town rich in Mexican culture. We enjoyed delicious meals at LaConcha Hotel, Rancho Viejo, and others in town. It was relatively inexpensive to eat out, compared to back home. We drove to Tecalote Beach, Las Cruces Beach and visited the Ibarra Pottery. Everyone's favorite was snorkeling with the sea lions at Isla Esperitu. This was our second trip to LaPaz. We will definitely go again and stay at LaConcha condos. Paul was easy to work with, and responded quickly to our emails. Thanks for a great vacation!

This condo is as advertised and rated. A lovely, well-tended, peaceful retreat. The living room and bedroom open out onto a generously proportioned balcony. At night, we opened the sliding glass doors and feel asleep to the sound of the waves on the sand. Breakfast overlooking the blue ocean starts your day with a serene smile. Kitchen is well kitted out. Place is clean - not a bug did I see! Only tiny negative: no hair dryer. At first I was dismayed, but then I let go of my uptight every-day ways and let my hair go "au natural", which I ended up kind of liking.

December in La Concha

This was my first experience with VRBO but not my last. Even though the description of this condo is well written, I was taken back by the quality, the view and the setting. It was the perfect way to escape the snow of the northwest in December. We followed the advise of previous visitors and ate at all of the recommended restaurants. One more that needs to be mentioned is the restaurant at La Concha hotel. We were so impressed with their Chef's Special that we met with the chef and he allowed us to take pictures in the kitchen during preparation. These pictures will be shared with nutrition students.

Recommended for:Age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car.

We had a piece of paradise at the La Concha Condo #306 on May 2010. Outstanding location with a panoramic view of the ocean and a tropical breeze. Great sunrises and sunsets that will energize your body and soul. Plenty of fun things to do like Tecolute Beach for lunch,a walk along the beach, fishing in the bay,swimming in the pool at the condo,a taix ride to Todas Santos,and much more. You have alot to do or just enjoy the ambiance of the beauty of La Paz and the people. Can't wait to go back.

We had a wonderful stay in February, La Concha 306 fit our needs perfectly. We used the Cortez club next door for our diving needs. My hubby got to dive right next to 2 whale sharks!! The staff are friendly and helpful, the grounds and units immaculately clean. The unit even has a dishwasher, which was great.Would we stay again? Absolutely!!

We have used VRBO for many vacation destinations. Our finding Penny and Paul's La Concha condo rates among the top gems. Their condo is well appointed with many details such as nice wine glasses, small kitchen appliances in great condition, and a variety of board games. We found the unit and whole resort very clean, well maintained and safe. Staff was attentive and warm. We enjoyed snorkeling right in the "front yard" and found the beach clean, and free of any people selling trinkets. The guide book in the condo proved most helpful. We found La Paz to be full of history, friendly gracious residents and WONDERFUL restaurants. A high point for us was going out on a dive boat for a day of snorkeling with sea lions on the island of Spiritu Santo.We highly recommend booking with the Cortez Dive Club just up the beach. They even cater a picnic lunch. Thanks Penny and Paul for sharing a part of Mexico that proved culturally rich in a very stunning setting. Your beautiful condo calls for us to return soon.

We very much enjoyed our stay here for 10 days January '09. The condo is comfortable and well-equipped and has a lovely view of the ocean. The staff at the condo/hotel are very friendly and helpful. Besides having a great selection of activities the La Paz area offers a much calmer alternative to the Los Cabos madhouse but is close enough for a visit.

Paul was terrific to work with -- quick to reply, helpful, and honest. The condo is lovely, and is represented accurately on the website. It's spacious, clean, and the location is great -- on the water and away from the noise of town, but conveniently close, also. The pool and grounds are beautiful, and the property appears well-managed. Paul gave me good advice on the topic of driving up from Cabo (it was easy, don't hesitate), and the return of my security deposit was handled efficiently. If I return to La Paz, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

We fished & had tuna to be prepared so we went to OSHO (across the street from Carlos and Charlie’s) Jesus Sanchez runs a wonderful, hip, casual lounge that serves great bear $ martini's. his sushi chef will create masterpiece with your fresh caught fish; sashimi roils, maki for approximately $35.00 with drinks!

Paul was so helpful in booking our trip and offering suggestions for restaurants etc. Better than that he's honest! We had to cancel our trip 4 weeks from arrival and he said if he could rent it, he'd return our deposit.(not in the contract) I was shocked to get an email from Paul informing us that he was able to rent it and he was returning our deposit. He didn't need to offer this. We recived the check today and wouldn't stay with anyone else in the future! Thanks again, Deb Rood

Thank you for a GREAT condo for a fair price. This condo is VERY spacious and set up perfectly for vacation! The second bathroom is great and sets you apart from most rentals or hotels. The pool is terrific and very private. There were only 5-10 people there at any given time. What a great place to stay!

Headed up to Tecolote to find yet another beautiful beach. Had a pleasant day trip to Todas Santos. Enjoyed the snorkeling with the sea lions! Thank You for the use of your Condo. We were the only ones outside by the pool at times! We rented a car, I believe that its the only way to go. Tom went fishing and the hotel restaurant made us a great dinner with his catch. We gave most of the fish to the staff. We found when you go fishing you develop a family the other fisherman. We were told the temperature was cool for June but we thought it was just right. Thank you again,

We went whale watching in San Mateo I had a once in a lifetime experience of touching a whale. We also snorkeled with the sea lions at Espirtu Santo and kayaked. Another experience I will never forget! Did a beach tour and a day trip to Todas Santos and Los Cabo. Had great fish tacos at Bismark Citio which is on the Malecon down the block from Cinco de Mayo (heading back towards La Concha) Really inexpensive, and very good. 4 tacos + 2 beers = $10.00! Fantastic Trip !!!! Thank You

Lovely condo on the beach, very spacious and had all the amenities that you could want. Will definitely stay here again, we want to see the whales on Magdalena bay the next time. Enjoyed Tecolate Beach--gorgeous aqua colored water. The people of La Paz could not be more warm and welcoming. The CC grocery store on the edge of town had such a variety, homemade corn and flour tortillas as well as bagels and cream cheese--lots of familiar items. Tres Virgins is a beautiful, Carmel type, restaurant. Perfect weather in January!

We liked Las Antorchas, very reasonable prices and excellent food. It's on Ignacio Allende just up from the Malacon. And next door is a terrific English bootstore - Allende Books.

Great vacation - wished we had stayed longer in La Paz and short in Los Cabos. Snorkeling with sea lions was a highlight, and Isla Espirtu Santo is so beautiful - do not miss it! Rancho Viejo tremendous value for dinner. We also at at Tres Virgines (good) and Hot Arcos Restaurant (just ok). Condo very comfortable and extremely spacious. We hope to be back.

The condo was fantastic! We really enjoyed the ocean views and one night even watched a thunderstorm.Taking a tour to snorkel with the sea lions at Espíritu Santo was a can't miss too for us.
