  We traveled from PA, and stayed in this condo the week after Christmas. We were extremely pleased with the location-- easy walk to the beach for miles and miles of beautiful, open beach fun. Right outside from the heated pool, which we swam in a couple times, even in December! It was just a 10 minute drive to downtown historic St. Augustine and a 5 minute drive to St. Augustine Beach. We found everything about the condo facility to be clean, quiet and well kept. The condo itself is pretty true to the pictures. We knew getting a dog friendly place meant that we may have to compromise on quality, but the condo has everything that you would need for a simple vacation. The bed was comfortable and for a week's stay, it was just fine. We were EXTREMELY impressed with the owner. We informed her that we would be bringing our 1 year old with us and that she liked to sleep in complete darkness. The 2nd bedroom has a large window, so in order to help our daughter sleep, she had a blind installed before our stay. She also was helpful when a minor issue arose towards the end of our trip and handled it with efficiency and care. We would highly recommend staying here if you'd like a no frills, comfortable, easy and safe place to stay. There is SO MUCH to do in the area and we had very fun, full days on vacation in St. Augustine! P.S. While there, definitely check out The Taco Shop and Happy Cakes...yum!

  My family enjoyed our vacation very much. This unit is located with a pool view and close to town. The beach is a short walk. The rooms were comfortable and spacious. The owner is easy to communicate with. All you have to do is park your vehicle in this gated complex and enjoy your vacation. Fred & Julie

  We enjoyed the Ocean Village Club and the unit we stayed in very much. The owner was very professional and helpful to deal with. The condo was clean and had all the amenities we needed for our enjoyable stay. We will be back next year!

  Our stay over the Christmas week was wonderful and relaxing for everybody in our family, even our dog Peanut. We very much enjoyed the beach which was about a 8 minute walk from the condo, maybe shorter if you are a brisk walker. Our only need that wasn't available was internet service in the condo, what is provided in the clubhouse had quite a weak signal and on a few occasions we had to go and look for WiFi as my husband had to fire up his laptop to take care of some business, but we survived the WiFi withdrawal in the unit in the end. Property was clean and comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked, my daughter is still coveting one of the frying pans! Anne was absolutely wonderful wonderful to deal with, her help and generosity made a good week a wonderful week! Thank you Anne for a wonderful Christmas getaway. The Raders

  Owner response: Thank you for the excellent review. I wasn't aware of the WIFI problem at the Community Center and, unfortunately, that's beyond my control. Every time the Homeowners Association sends out a questionnaire asking what improvements owners would like to see implemented, WIFI in the units tops the list. Hopefully that will become a reality soon. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay and hope to see you back some day. Anne Johnson

  This was the third time we have spent a holiday in this condo, this time for 6 weeks. The condo is comfortable and has a lovely view of the pool. access to the beach is excellent, the pool is delightful and the surrounding restaurants varied and very good. There is good access to grocery shopping and outlet shopping, to St. Augustine and all its charm, and to some very pleasant state parks. We love to be able to have our dog with us and this year when we arrived she knew exactly where to go!

  We stayed at Anne's condo this past summer (2011) and were just logging on to check availability for this summer when we came across the lone unfavorable review. We felt compelled to speak up in favor of Anne, as we could not have been more satisfied with our accommodations, and hostess. Anne was accommodating and truthful, as she answered all of our questions in a prompt, courteous manner. We were pleased with the location, condition, price, and convenience of her condo.   Just wanted to give whom ever a heads up!!!!!! I was very miss lead with the information given on this condo.......there was a TERRIBLE smell! the kitchen was filthy, the beds, which I didn't touch, looked like something you find in a hotel that you would pay $20/night for!!!!! At least the owner stepped up and gave me a refund!.....just wanted you all to know so you wouldn't be a disappointed as we were after driving 14 hours!!!!!!

  Owner response: As anyone can see, this review is totally out of line with all my other reviews. I went to a great deal of trouble to accomodate this guest, including offering to allow her to park her trailer, which was not permitted on-site, in my own driveway and then finding a storage place for her to park the trailer near our condo at a nominal price. When she arrived, she called me and told me I had told her there was an elevator in our building, which was essential for her mother-in-law to get to the second floor.My listing does not mention an elevator, e-mails back and forth do not mention an elevator, and there is no reason in the world for me to misrepresent the fact that our building does not have an elevator. This guest simply forgot to inquire about an elevator, perhaps because she was so consumed with what to do with her trailer. From there, things went downhill. She complained of an odor. Then the kitchen was "filthy". The beds were such that she would not lie down on them. I misrepresented the property, etc, etc, etc.The guest then found accomodations elsewhere, presumably on the first floor or with an elevator, and I refunded her entire deposit. Now she wants to give everyone the "heads up" that our condo is as bad as, or worse than, "a $20 hotel room" All of my reviews are very favorable. I have many people returning year after year, some for as many as 10 years. I guess there will always be one disgruntled person who wants to do as much damage as possible. Anne Johnson

  The condo overlooks a heated pool which was very nice in early April. All items are there needed to enjoy a week and a great location to the island as well as downtown. The furnishings are a little dated but for the location it was a great bargain. We will definetely stay here again...great price and no problems accessing the gated property. Easy access to enjoy the beach and great atmosphere. You will enjoy being so close to the pool and beach while just a short drive to downtown. We were amazed at the renovations that have taken place downtown St. Augustine...it is beautiful! This town has so much to offer families with children of all ages, sail boat rides, pirate ships, great restaurants and our favorite carriage rides. Glad to find a great place to stay to go back and explore all the things we did not have a chance to do on this trip!

  Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

  We spent the month of March at the condo and enjoyed the location. The accomodations were good, the location was excellent with direct access to the beach and the heated pool; also its proximity to the Old St Augustine as well as the different business stores we had to go to was appreciated. We appreciated the quietness of the resord and the fact that the pet friendly atmosphere really made things easier for us. Thank you Anne for your excellent services.

  Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, pet owners, sightseeing, families with young children.

  We wanted a pet-friendly place near the historic town of St. Augustine, close to a beach that allowed dogs. In 2010 we spent February here, came again for five weeks in 2011, and booked for six weeks in 2012. Does that indicate satisfied customers? The owners are charming and accommodating, the beach is fabulous, the restaurants are excellent and reasonably priced. St. Augustine is a lovely town to explore and offers a number of cultural activities even in the winter. There is convenient local shopping for necessities, 2 outlet malls close by for rainy days, and a plethora of delightful shops in St. Augustine to explore. We have enjoyed the several state parks within an hour's drive, eco-tours on the intracoastal waterway, and, in a spell of bad weather, made the longer trip to Orlando to visit the Morse Museum of Tiffany glass. The condo itself is clean and comfortable offering everything one needs. It is a light and bright end unit with a lovely view of the heated swimming pool. The complex is well maintained and offers wi-fi at the residents' centre as well as a fitness room, tennis courts, shuffleboard, hot-tub, car wash and picnic area.

  Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.
