The views are fantastic from this house and we were in awe every morning when we woke up to it. There is plenty of room for everyone with privacy. The property was fairly clean, but could use a thorough cleaning such as crumbs in the kitchen drawers and cobwebs from the ceilings and corners. The owner was very quick to respond to any questions and was very easy to work with. We were close to everything that we wanted to do, including skiing at Heavenly. Loved loved loved our stay at this house and would totally stay at this property again as well as recommend to others. Thanks George!!!

LOVE it when a place is exactly as advertised! This was a terrific home; spectacular Lake Tahoe views from living room, deck, master br, 2nd deck and walking around. Quiet neighborhood, very private location at end of street, but close to action at South Shore. Great layout for groups - plenty of room and full baths provided privacy and separation for younger set but lots of space to do things together. Kitchen well stocked in terms of pots/pans/dishes, etc. Off street Parking for 5 cars. Owner/Property Mgr very responsive. Definitely looking for a return trip once ski season starts.

I recently rented the house for a 5 day stay while in town for a family wedding taking place nearby. The lake views are exceptional and the neighborhood a nice, short drive from South shore, but far enough from the bustle of the main strip. Surrouning trees beautiful. We arrived after the property management office had closed. Our arrival lost its luster as the house was not as clean as you would expect, particularly the kitchen drawers and cupboards where the utensils were located and pantry where food would be stored. Other areas needed dusting and it did not seem like a recently renovated property. The advertized BBQ was lacking propane, so our plans for steaks cooked on the grill our first night were not to be. Two members of our group reported that the sheets had an odd odor which made sleeping in the bed a no-go the first night. The odor was later was attributed to sheets being stored in the same closest as the presto logs. I contacted the property management office the next morning to talk about the concerns, particualarly since we were having guests over that evening for a BBQ. To their credit and with permission of the owner to pay the cost, they had someone at the house later that day to clean and bring the propane. Still it was not how I wanted to spend my vacation time. The 4th bedroom doubles as the den on the bottom most level. That wasn't clear to me from the house details. I was told by the property management that it can be challenging getting dedicated cleaning services, given the seasonal availability of workers. I was also told that the age of the finishes and condition are about what you would expect for this price range in Tahoe. Now I know and probably would think twice and get more info about a property in Tahoe before I rent again.

Owner response: We have been property owners renting in Tahoe for over 10 years. We have had overwhelmingly good reviews on our properties. We have had the same cleaning service now for over 7 years with very few complaints. We have stored our sheets in the same closet, again for more than 7 years, with no complaints or comments. We did everything we possibly could to make this guest happy to no avail. It seems like there are some people that cannot be satisfied. This is a high elevation mountain home with the appropriate level of finishes for the amount of rent we charge. With any more upgrades we would price ourselves out of the rental market in Tahoe. We do post a floor plan on our main web site.

This home was as beautiful as the pictures show. It was very clean and well stocked and the views were amazing! My only negative was that there was no TV in the large living room-Although the TV was nearby in the den, it was impossible for all 10 of us to sit and watch a movie together in the evening because the den was too small. We all agreed it would be just about perfect except for that one flaw. Also, there are alot of stairs to get to the bedrooms which are all on the lower 2 floors, so everyone in your party should be pretty mobile and have good knees! Otherwise, we had a great weekend and would recommend this home to my family and friends! The real estate office and owner were also top-notch and very easy to work with.

Had a fun time staying at the house for 3 days with the family. Property was as described, clean and well-maintained. Ground level kitchen has pretty much everything you need to prepare family meals. In fact, the ground level was perfect. However, the lower level bedrooms could use some updating. The owner, George, was responsive and answered all of my email inquiries within a couple of hours. The property manager's office is conveniently located and easy to find. The property is close to casinos and Heavenly. Safeway is just down the street on I-50. Hope to visit the area in the summer to explore the lake. All in all, it was a nice stay.

We recently stayed at the house for a week in February, 2012 to enjoy some skiing with another family during our kids school winter break. The property was clean and well-maintained. Views of Lake Tahoe from the house were breathtaking! House was gorgeous! Had room for all 8 of us and we were never crowded out due to the amount of room to spread all of us around. Hot tub was a definite bonus. Skiing, grocery stores, and restaurants were very close and convenient. Would rent from George again and will recommend this property to anyone heading out Lake Tahoe's way!

5 guys shared the house for a week- got in 6 days skiing - house was perfect set up - and the view -oh baby. All the amenities, garage, 2 decks and hot tub. Check in process was flawless per owner's instructions - rental agency was even kind enough to let us print our boarding passes for flight home. Major supermarket and rental agency just down the road - 10 minutes to Heavenly and about an hour to Squaw, Alpine Meadows, NorthStar and Kirkwood. Enjoyed dinner at Capisce - just past rental office - great Italian. I have rented thru VRBO all over the country and this house is absolutely one of the best set ups.

This was the second time my group has rented this beautiful cabin and it never disappoints! The pictures are very true to what the house looks like and it is very spacious. The views from the living room are spectacular. My friends and I rented this cabin for a snowboarding trip and it is great place to go for the snow. George, the owner, is very professional and very easy to work with. We will definitely be coming back again!

George's Tahoe vacation home is perfect for a winter getaway with family or friends! His mountain home truly exceeded our expectations! The views are surreal, the home is spacious, and the location is ideal. The home boasts a great floor plan for groups or families alike, with high ceilings, a nice kitchen, and large open living/dining room. The bedrooms, den with sleeping options, and bathroom arrangement works well for groups. We easily parked two cars in the garage and one in the driveway. Every room is thoughtfully appointed, well maintained, and better than described in the listing. It's clear that the owners have experience with renters and pay attention to their feedback. (Our only gripe was that we ran out of toilet paper very quickly, but thankfully the store was nearby.) I rented this home for my group of 12 (some couples, some singles) over New Years. We enjoyed our time skiing, snowmobiling, hiking, taking pictures by the lake, relaxing in the hot tub, warming our feet by the fireplace, cooking, playing games, and visiting the main drag by the casinos. There are so many photo ops just on the deck; sunrise, day, and sunset all provided beautiful pictures overlooking the snowy mountains, forest and lake. George's vacation home is conducive to and convenient for all of these activities -- and I'm sure more if we weren't so worn out! As mentioned, this home is in an excellent location. Our only hiccup was reaching it without suitable snow chains for our tires in the winter. We weren't anticipating the steeper snowy roads in the neighborhood, so we had to buy snow chains for our rental cars and then learn how to put them on. (But this is from the perspective of Texans and Arizonans who never drive in snow.) With all this commotion, the night grew closer and one of our cars had a hard time reading the neighborhood road signs at night to get to the house. Fortunately, cell phone coverage is good in the area, so all was straightened out easily. Thinking back, I know George's documents warned us of the snowy driving conditions and the neighborhood road sign visibility at night, so it was our fault we weren't prepared! George was very helpful with booking our stay, and he was easy to contact by phone and email. He answered all of our questions thoughtfully and was always available to chat about the Tahoe area. The property manager in Tahoe was also professional and helpful. I would highly recommend this home to all of my friends and family

Owner response: Glad your group had a great tiime! As discussed, 4 wheel drive vehicles always recomended in the winter anywhere in Tahoe. George
