Why the Owner Chose Maui Kamaole
Great beaches and a quiet but accessible location make South Kihei a great choice. There is less rain than most parts of Maui and you don't have to be a pro to enjoy the watersports on this side of the island. Every thing you need is here or close by. That makes for a relaxing holiday. Why drive when you don't have to? You can catch a charter boat at the Kihei boat ramp just down the hill for fishing diving or snorkelling.There are decent restaurants 10 minutes walk away. and the great beaches are 5 or 6 minutes away on foot.Of course you can drive, to great restaurants, golf and other beaches for snorkelling, or to the charms of Wailea just down the road or Lahaina half an hour away, but you really don't need to.

Our condo is well supplied with linens, TV and internet,beach toys and comfortable furnishings.It's quiet and close to our tennis courts and tropically landscaped pool and hot tub. You have a complete and easy to use kitchen and plenty of space to lounge around both inside and on the 2 lanais ( patios)_.
great little beach and tiny coves for good swimming or snorkeling. Beautiful red/gold sand and a huge lawn and trees above with picnic tables. On the weekends there are lifeguards all day. It's a 5 min walk from our condo.
Here is where you catch the fishing and diving charters out to Molokini and down the coast. Just be sure to reserve by phone or in town. At 8 AM they aren't usually taking on new passengers
Our sunset favorite! This is a 10 minute walk from our place. Good swimming and a mile long for exercise. You can walk down to Wailea and its fancy hotels and great shopping. The entire way is public. The 5 Palms restaurant has good happy hour sushi.5-7 PM You can rent stand up paddleboards and kayaks too.
This area has the noisier condo complexes but it also has good restaurants like Cafe au Lei and fun spots to party like Moose Mcgillicddy's. Don't forget DA Kitchen for basic Hawaian food and Maui Tacos for great fish tacos. Also a small organic food market and the best place to rent snorkel gear(or sign on to a charter) Snorkel Bob's. Plenty more stuff around here but blah, blah, blah you just gotta ask us or explore

This is the $300 a day and up area . Great golf courses and small beaches with rocky outcroppings. Big ,big hotels. Shopping in luxury stores is a 10 min. drive from our condo.You could walk along the shore all the way from our condo. It's public. There is a bus to catch every 1/2 hour past our condo and down to the" Shops at Wailea" but you can get out just about anywhere

We are a small group of friends and Family who have traveled the World. I kid you not! We lead busy lives in northern California and needed a place to get away and relax. When we started looking for a place close enough to Home to be practical ;comfortable and beautiful but still exotic,we decided Maui was" da kine ",as folks say here. We've been visiting Maui since the 1970's. It's busier and more organized now ,and so are we,but still a great place. Fantastic snorkeling and diving, great beaches with warm water,a beautiful mountain to explore,and don't forget the Whales! We come a few times a year to stay in our home away from home and relax and enjoy the great Aloha spirit of the place. I think we'll be coming here when we're 80,with luck.
