This beautiful lake front home is situated on a point overlooking gorgeous Smith Mountain Lake with over 600 feet of shoreline and INCREDIBLE MOUNTAIN AND LAKE VIEWS. The sun rises in the morning are magnificent as the sun rises over the mountain and the full moons will take your breath away. Only five steps seperate you from the water and in fact, you can use the handicap ramp and avoid the stairs altogether. There is a nice gentle sloping sidewalk to the dock.
The house has plenty of room for entertaining and relaxing. A large den/family room has a 60" TV with cable for those that need a break from the water. The master bedroom also has a large screen TV. The kitchen is very nicely equipped with all of the necessary items to prepare a nice meal. There is a commercial ice maker for filling up the coolers too.
There are 3 bedrooms (1 king in master, 2 twins in 1 bedroom and 2 twins in another bedroom) and 3 full bathrooms with enough beds for 6 people with lots of floor space if the little one's like to huddle on the floor together. There are several roll-away-cots that can be moved around the house too. Lots of windows and sliding glass doors allow for maximum views of the lake and the mountain.
The large dock is great with an attached floating dock for swimming and mooring a boat if you have one. There are several places on the lake that rent boats. The yard is large so bring toys for the kids to play with.

We could not imagine staying anywhere else at SML. The view, the house, the amenities are what makes Taylor's Retreat such a great get away with no worries! All guests that we have had join us during our vacation fall in love with it as well. We have had 4 years of wonderful memories so far and hopefully many more to come! Thank you for sharing your beautiful "home away from home" ! We would love to visit in the fall!

Taylor's Retreat was home away from home with better views! The house was clean, well kept and very comfortable. The mountain views were breath taking and the lake the cleanest I've seen. The gentle slope to the dock was one of the best on the lake. We're looking forward to going back next year.

Beautiful mountain and lake views. Lovely flat yard and spacious one level home. Perfect for my elderly parents.Amazing boatdock.Lots of birds and wildlife. Can't wait to go again!
