  Had some difficulty hearing back from the owner who didn't know if we had made our payment even though we had received an email saying we had paid. We were getting a little apprehensive about the deal. We enjoyed the room we had and having a hot tub but we had to call to have it looked at due to it not warming up. Someone came right away. The pool water was too cool to swim. Furniture and carpet were not very clean. Carpet had burn marks in 2 places where someone had sat an iron down. The washer and dryer are in an outside closet. Washer's agitator broken. Kitchen floor not very clean when we arrived. Notebook stated there were children's toys and a table but they were not there.

  Owner response: All upholestry and carpet was steam cleaned just after this rental. End of season and high traffic. Looking good now. Thanks for your input.

  Can't say enough about this house. GREAT location, extremely comfortable furnishings and beds, well-maintained, and well-stocked. YMCA passes were a definite plus. Thanks for a great week!

  Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, families with teenagers, adventure seekers.

  We rented the property behind the Off the Hook house and absolutely loved it. The owners of the Off the Hook property managed our property and we couldn't have asked for better service. They were able to get us into the property early and presented us with a spotless house and pool. Anything we needed throughout the week, we felt like we could call them and they would be right there. We all agreed that Nagshead was one of the best beaches we have ever been to and we will definately be going back -- and contacting Lisa for our rental!! Thanks for making our vacation a memorable experience.

  We just got back from our week in Nags Head and had an amazing time! The house was perfect for our family and the other family we vacationed with (4 adults and 4 kids under 6). We were right across the street from the beach and the outdoor shower at the house made hosing the kids off after a day at the beach so nice! The kids opted to take their showers outside every day! The pool is small, but was big enough for our small children and felt like bathwater (which is the only way I will get in!). The house was clean and spacious - plenty of room for 4 adults and 4 children. Large enough bedrooms for all of your stuff and plenty of closet/drawer storage. The kids loved the "huge screen" TV! Nags Head has a ton of restaurants and the house is within walking distance to a couple. The Red Drum restaurant is literally next door and we went there a couple of times to eat. Lisa and her husband were the perfect hosts and ready to help us out with anything we needed. The dryer stopped working while we were there and they had a new dryer in it's place only a day later. We loved this vacation, the house and the location! We can't wait to come back to Nags Head!

  Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, tourists without a car.

  Off the Hook was a fantastic place to spend our Daughter's 12th birthday. She took a couple of friends and they enjoyed the private swimming pool, hot tub at nights and beach in the day! We had a cookout each night and enjoyed the charcoal grill not to mention the grocery store is right around the corner. The beach is so close it is nice not to have to worry about driving and finding a parking spot etc. The rooms were spacious and the place was decorated beachy and very clean. The owners are exceptional to work with! We can not wait to go back!! Thanks so much for a great time!!

  We took our first family trip to Nags Head in August 2008. The house is great, the location is great and Lisa and her husband Sean are the most genuine and accomodating hosts we have ever experienced. When we arrived a gift basket was waiting for us, the house was immaculate and they seemed genuinely excited to tell us the best places to go while in town. We had a great time and will definitely be back.

  You couldn't ask for better people to rent from. We stayed here for the first time this past summer. We had the best beach vacation ever. Better then the Jersey shore. Much, much better. And Lisa and her husband made it that way. The house, immaculate! Well maintained. There was a bag of goodies waiting for us when we got there and they made sure we had everything we needed. A joy to deal with. Thx guys!!!!

  We stayed here in July 2008. We loved it. The people who owned it were great. It was a very comfortable house and if you have little kids, it was fantastic. It had gates at the top of the steps and some toys and high chairs. The location was perfect ... just a short walk to the beach. It definitely had all the TVs you could possibly want. The jacuzzi was great and the front decks were really nice. I would highly recommend ... considering it for next year.

  My family and myself went to Nags Head for our annual vacation. We had a wonderful stay. The home was nicely located with a direct walk to beach. The home was very comfortable w/cold AC. We loved the hot tub and our own pool. It was nice to relax and swim in the pool after a long day at the beach. The outside shower was so roomy, sometimes it was nice to actually just get ready in there...Everything was very tidy and neat and the location was tops. I enjoyed having the ceiling fans in each room and the space was wonderful. The owners I dealt with directly, Lisa & Robb, were so pleasant. Just from speaking with them, I knew I had found the right property. Upon arrival, Lisa brought a sand bucket filled with goodies for myself and my family and a nice thank-you card wishing us a happy stay. That says alot about the people I rented from. Shall my family return next year to Nags Head, I would most definitely ask to re-rent property. You will really love this house...
