Thanksgiving at the Cottontail Cottage. What Luck! We have been to this area many times before but it was especially rewarding to share its beauty with my parents. We could tell that you put a lot of work into your planned day tour of the falls & sights. It was an excellent day and your effort & guidance were well appreciated. We can’t decide what part of the trip was our favorite. The cabin, the view, the falls or you two making your guests feel like family. Our weekend in Rabun County has been memorable beyond all expectations! We enjoyed the full moon rising through the gap on Friday night and the heavy morning mist on Saturday. All this beautiful nature and the warm cozy cottage will definitely have us visiting with you again. That’s just like the countryside in Germany, where we grew up. On the days the sun was shining we went out for long hikes. We especially liked the Chatooga River. The Sandy Ford Area with Dick’s Creek Falls was our favorite. We didn’t care about the rainy days as long as we knew that we could come back home, take a hot shower, and cook a wonderful dinner. The Unique Benefits of this Cabin
This has been a perfect getaway in the mountains! Rabun County and Cottontail Cottage are absolutely gorgeous! Our favorite moments have been sitting on the front porch rockers taking in the gorgeous view and sitting in front of the fireplace each night. We took a few day trips which were wonderful. I think I took 3 rolls of film in the 4 days we were here. We will have to save the rest for next year when we plan on coming back to Cottontail Cottage! Thank you for your hospitality. Hello Peter & Debbie- Thank you so much for making our vacation awesome!!! My mother-in-law is a early riser, and your porch was just perfect for her. She saw a fawn one morning, and many many birds. Your book that you put together for places to see and eat, was a big help. We visited the Dillard House, Cupboard Cafe, Glen Falls,Sky Valley Falls, and we went into Highland to eat and shop while we were there. Everywhere we went in Dillard, everybody was so nice and pleasant. Thank you again for you hospitality and your beautiful home. Jeanne & Robert,Dorothy & Kenny, and Julene & Ken. PS. Make a note for the Cupboard Cafe-Very good and recommending sharing your meal,enough food for two, especially for breakfast.

Just returned from a happy 4 days at this wonderful cabin. It was perfect for our gals weekend. The cabin was spotless and located close to everthing in the city area, but still peaceful. we loved watching the cows in the valley pasture and tried counting the bunnies inside and out but we never finished. Our hosts were wonderful, esp the home made cookies and the flowers. We rate this cabin 100% and we will come again..

We don’t want to leave! It’s been a wonderful little getaway! Cottontail Cottage is first class; it’s the first cabin that we’ve stayed in that wasn’t furnished with used stuff and hand-me-downs! What a terrific rental! Charming, clean, comfortable, well-equipped, and pretty convenient to the nearby towns. AND... Debbie & Peter were wonderful hosts, gretting us with fresh flowers and cookies when we met. We would definitely rent this cabin again if we are in the area. --Jim
