Nestled on 4 acres, just 500 feet from the Cataloochee Ski Area and Ranch, rests COPPER TOP CABIN. It is 2,450 sq. feet and has 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. This cabin is the ideal vacation spot with paved roads that make it easy to reach, even in the roughest winter weather. Just 40 minutes from Asheville, Maggie Valley is a quaint little town that saves one from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Copper Top Cabin is private enough for one to feel as if the mountain is yours alone, yet central enough and close to the favorite breakfast spot in town (Joey’s Pancake House).
On the upstairs deck you will find a cozy Jacuzzi tub for 4 that has been placed in the perfect location in order to enjoy long-range views of Maggie Valley and Cataloochee. Feel free to fill the Hummingbird feeder and watch those incredible little birds feast while soaking in a relaxing Jacuzzi.
Copper Top Cabin features 1 upstairs bedroom with a queen bed. Adjacent to the bedroom is a full size bathroom that includes a Jacuzzi tub and a separate powder area. Upstairs you will also be pleased to find a spacious loft, with a sleeper sofa that can sleep 2 and an awe-inspiring view of the outdoors through majestic windows.
On the main floor, Copper Top Cabin offers a fully equipped kitchen with breakfast counter and barstools. A dining room separates the floor plan into the great room that features a 32-inch LCD TV with Satellite, DVD and VHS player. The cozy stone fireplace is both beautiful and functional, keeping the cabin cozy and warm in the winter. You will find that a full size bathroom is located just down the hall from the great room. The 2nd bedroom is located on this level featuring a queen-sized bed, Satellite TV and a DVD player. In the hallway there is a laundry area equipped with a full size washer and dryer.
The newly finished basement is a great children's cave! Featuring a PS2, a Flat Panel Television, Satellite TV, a DVD player and Surround Sound Stereo speakers with and iPod dock, this basement is the perfect hangout spot for both young children and those young at heart. In addition to the already mentioned list of entertainment options, the basement is loaded with games such as Air Hockey, Pool, Foosball, Checkers, Darts and Board games that are sure to provide you and your family with hours of quality fun. You will also find that the basement provides yet another bedroom, furnished with two twin beds, that I’m sure the kids would absolutely love.
Copper Top Cabin is located in an ideal location due to its proximity to so many local attractions.
Just a 40-minute drive away, you will find the city of Ashville, where the Largest home in the U.S. is located: Biltmore Estate and Winery. If you head west, within an hour you can arrive in the middle of Gatlinburg, Tennessee, a small tourist town that all should visit at least once in their lifetime.
Within 15 minutes from Copper Top Cabin you have the Cherokee Reservation, where you can gamble at Harrah's Casino or eat a delicious feast at the Vegas style buffet. The popular Cherokee show, “Unto These Hills” runs from early Spring until mid Fall and is a breathtaking display of culture and history.
The Blue Ridge Parkway is just 5 minutes away from the cabin and owns some of the most magnificent views and winding roads that one can travel.
Cades Cove and Linville Caverns are also all within short driving distances.
If adventure is what you are looking for, you can find several places where you can go whitewater rafting and hiking.
The Great Smoky Mountain Railroad is located a short 20-minute drive away in the city of Dillsboro.
The Great Smoky Mountains National Park and Pisgah National Forest are also nearby, offering wildlife sightings throughout the year. Pisgah National Forest is also the home of some really spectacular waterfalls and also offers a few pool areas to refresh in the summertime. Sliding Rock, a natural mountain slide, is also found in Pisgah and is famous for giving families an entire day of pure fun in the refreshing mountain water.
If you prefer to stay in town, you can always visit the Ghosttown Theme Park, located just down the mountain from Copper Top Cabin. Located just 500 feet away from the cabin is the Cataloochee Ski and Ranch, where you can enjoy skiing and snowboarding closer to home. Another local option would be driving down Tony's Tube world, located literally 5 minutes down the mountain, where you can spend hours having fun tubing. There is plenty of shopping in Maggie Valley and nearby in Waynesville.

  • I just got back from spending an amazing 5 days in Maggie Valley and I must say that Copper Top was the perfect cabin to call home for a few days. I truly felt at home in this cabin - from the woodsy decor to the family friendly set-up, everything about this cabin screams "home". The living area is open and spacious, with a beautiful fireplace that makes it the perfect spot to sit around and just be together. The second floor loft has the most incredible view of the Smokies that I have ever seen. Sitting up there while reading a book was the most relaxing thing I've done in a long time! However, the basement (Called Copper Top Game Room) was not relaxing - it was SO MUCH FUN! We played pool, air hockey, foozball, checkers, baseball and the videogames never did stop. It was the perfect place to plug in the iPod, turn the music up (they have a great sound system down there) and just let loose. It really did make us feel like kids again! Having a room like this is such a great bonus (especially if you have kids!!!). In my opinion, this cabin was the perfect place to spend my days in Maggie Valley. I didn't feel like I was staying in a rental property -- I felt like I was a guest in someone's home -- and you just can't put a price on that feeling. As I was packing up and getting ready to head home, I found myself already making plans to return! That's how much I loved this perfect vacation home! If you are on the fence about trying this place out, take my word for it - it's Fantastic and I have no doubt you and your family will enjoy it as much as we did! Thanks so much to the owners of Copper Top -- You have really figured out how to do this the right way! See you in the Summer!
