We had a wonderful time in the Bison Lodge (12-31-11 to 01-07.12). This house was visited from us with 3 Adult couples and 6 kids. Sufficient room for everybody. The way to the ski lift parking lot is about 2 minutes by car. Perfect for our needs. Everything was very clean and the property was well-maintained. I would like to stay another time for a ski holiday. Thanks Chris for the awesome holidays

The biggest thrill was having all 14 of us ski together on the last day. We were able to watch our 6 & 7 year-old grandchildren zoom down Heading Home, laughing and squealing all the way. The 6 year-old was truly disappointed when the lifts closed and she wasn't able to ski anymore! Your home is beautiful and accommodated all of us. The grandchildren (8 of them) named the downstairs their "Spider Man Cave". They loved the foosball game. Life is truly a blessing when you can share the holidays with your entire family in a beautiful part of God's country. Many awesome memories were made and will stay with us all for ever! I was once told that you can give a present to someone and in 5 years that person won't remember what you gave them, but take them somewhere or do something with them and they will have that memory for life. This applies to our grandchildren - what memories!!! Again, Thanks for the memories! Johnny & Anna McDaniel

Our family of 14 had a great time at Bison Lodge. The house is beautiful, well-maintained, and convenient to the slopes. The thee levels allowed our big family to spread out. We would definitely consider staying there again.

My wife and I and our four children could not have asked for a better or more memorable vacation. The minute we walked through the front door of the Bison Lodge we knew we had come to the right place. The mountain views are spectacular. Coffee on the deck every morning and cocktails in the evening. The kids loved the lower level, with the hot tub & foosball table and plenty of room to sleep. We found that Angel Fire is more than skiing. We went whitewater rafting, hiking, and rode the lift to the top of the mountain. Three of us climbed to the top of Wheeler Peak (highest point in NM). It was awesome! The St. James Hotel in Cimmeron was cool. The shops in Taos are great, too. The family time that we spent just playing games or watching movies was priceless. The whole family hated to leave and can't wait to go back.

We had a great time at Bison Lodge. The home feels like a place you would want to live in. The decor was very inviting and attractive. We appreciated having the necessary kitchen amenities to prepare meals for all who came. Another excellent feature that will likely keep us coming back to Angel Fire and the Bison Lodge was the convenience of the Magic Bus, what a great service, they picked us up within minutes of each call and it was very easy to get back to the house, excellent. The owner was very attentive and concerned about our reservation and stay, he called right after we arrived. Kids and adults alike we very comfortable. We did have difficulty warming the lower level, it stayed cold and didn't match the upper floors. The property mgmt staff said they didn't know if it was supposed to be a heated level, I was somewhat surprised by that comment. That is really the only negative for our entire trip.

Bison Lodge - Relaxing Mountain Retreat

My wife and I celebrated our second wedding anniversary in Sept. 2008 with a week at the Bison Lodge in Angel Fire. I had stayed at the Bison Lodge years before during the winter and experienced the amazing winter sports just footsteps away from front door. In September, we were equally pleased to enjoy the golf course, hiking, restaurants, spa, and scenery of the area. We also spent a few days relaxing, reading, and playing games (which are kept at the Bison Lodge for guests). Bison Lodge is so comfortable that our time spent indoors was as wonderful as our time spent at the area's ample outdoor activities. It was also great to come home to the Bison Lodge after being out all day. We would put our feet up, enjoy a glass of wine, breathe in the fresh air, and unwind together. Each morning we awoke with a cup of coffee and the incredible mountain view. Our week at Bison Lodge was a perfect way to relax, reconnect, and celebrate our two years of marriage. My wife and I prefer to stay in unique properties when we travel. The Bison Lodge is at the top of our list of favorities. It is a great home that is very well maintained. The beds and furniture are all very comfortable. The rental staff had everything ready for us, including a late check, and the house was clean and properly appointed. The Bison Lodge is conveniently located close to the restaurants and stores of Angel Fire. It is also extremely convenient to the ski hill for those staying in the winter (a couple blocks or the bus stop across the street). Although it is close to everything, the Bison Lodge is very private. We didn't notice neighbors and the view is unubstructed. We cannot recommend the Bison Lodge more highly.

This is a nice three story home, well built and kept very clean. Our visit was August '08 to enjoy the comfortable weather and explore the area. You can walk to the Chile Express lift where we ate a good meal, twice. I could see the home being an excellent place to stay for a large group of skiers. You could sleep 14 if every spot was used (1 queen, 3 fulls, 4 bunk beds and a pull-out couch). There are two large balconies. One balcony with a grill and the other has a hot tub. The kitchen is large and you can comfortably seat eight at the dinner table. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Bison Lodge is beautiful, spacious, comfortable, and well maintained. After a long day of skiing it was nice to come back to the warmth and comfort of this beautiful home. Whether we relaxed in the hot tub or sipped hot chocolate around the fire we couldn't help but feel at home. The convenience of the local shuttle, right at our door step, took us to and from the ski area at any time of the day, although walking was an option. We had a fantastic stay and will definately recommend Bison Lodge to our friends and family.

Our entire family had the oppurtunity to vacation at the Bison Lodge. We enjoyed staying in such a beautiful home in the mountains. The lodge was very accommodating and well maintained, meeting our every need. From skiing to snowmobiling or browsing in the local shops, Bison Lodge has plenty to keep you busy. After a fun filled day on the slopes, lounging by the fireplace or soaking in the hot tub is a perfect way to spend the evening. Overall our stay was highly enjoyed and we would reccomend the Bison Lodge to anyone looking to have a memorable getaway with family or friends!
