If you are considering a vacation on Lake George in the beautiful Adirondack Mountains of upstate New York, we hope you will consider staying with us. Our property is located at the northern end of Lake George on a dead end road in the historic town of Ticonderoga. While away from the crowded and noisy southern end of the lake, we are still within a 45 minute drive of Lake George Village if you care to enjoy the attractions available there. We think it’s the perfect Lake George vacation destination!
Sherwood has occupancy for five. This camp is comfortably furnished, and provides everything you need for a home away from home. With the exception of a dishwasher, the kitchen is stocked with everything you need to cook a delicious meal, and includes a microwave. The camp has cable TV with a VCR and DVD, and a stereo/CD sound system.
Sherwood offers two full-sized beds and a queen-size futon in the living area. There is a large bathroom with shower stall. Sherwood has an expansive screened porch with a lovely view of the lake and Prisoners Island. The porch offers a restful place to read a good book, play a game of cards, enjoy a morning cup of coffee, or socialize with friends. There is no heat in this camp, but, it does have a ceiling fan for warmer days. Please note that our camp rents Saturday to Saturday for full week only.
Our property incorporates 205 feet of shoreline, a creek, birch, cedar, oak, and pine trees. We have two designated fire rings, and some of our best times have been spent with our guests at night, making S’mores and telling Adirondack “tall tales”. We have a white vinyl 50 foot long dock with a swimming platform, and dock space for our rental guests. If you would like to bring your own boat, please check with us to make sure we have space available. Our lake bottom is primarily sandy bottomed and shallow toward shore. At the end of our dock the depth is about four and a half feet, and you can walk out about another fifty feet before the water gets deep. Our dock has two seating benches and an easy to use sloped and handled stairway from the lake. Perfect for young children and those of us who are getting a bit older! |
