With its dramatic cathedral ceiling and expansive view of the ocean and the beach, this top-floor condo in Chesapeake House is a perfect getaway for a couple or a small family. Our designer-decorated beach home has been beautifully furnished to focus on the view, which is enhanced by a mirrored entrance wall. The 18-foot-tall ceiling--unique to the ninth-floor “penthouse” apartments--makes this the airiest one-bedroom available.
The comfortable sectional sofa in the living room opens to a queen sleeper for those who like to hear the ocean at night. Another queen bed, specially designed for reading in bed, is in the restful bedroom, which has its own half bath. Both bathrooms have been remodeled recently to feature modern stainless-steel sinks, large mirrors, innovative tile floors, and plenty of storage space. The kitchen, also updated, features a special tile floor resembling beach stones and looks out onto the ocean.
The oceanfront balcony is private, with walls on both sides. On winter weekends, a freestanding fireplace in the living room adds welcome coziness. The dedicated parking space in the garage is just three spaces away from the elevator lobby.
Sea Colony's renowned amenities include a private guarded beach, five oceanfront swimming pools (including two kiddie pools), two indoor pools (the nearby one has been completely upgraded), a sauna and whirlpool, thirty-one tennis courts (including four indoor courts), and two fitness centers. One of the oceanfront pools is just steps away from our building along the promenade in front of the building. Just a little farther along the promenade is a large terrace with tables and umbrellas for eating or relaxing during the day. Sea Colony sponsors children's activities throughout the summer and provides a trolley to reach the community's full range of facilities.
