The villa overlooks a sparkling lake- so peaceful and calm- and the deck is a perfect spot for morning coffee, afternoon tea, or evening cocktails. Snowy white egrets gather in the late afternoon in the trees across the lake-- just heavenly!
We have also just completed a totally new master bath with oversize walk in shower-- just beautiful!

HOW FAR TO BEACH: 5 minutes by car or 15 minutes by bike.
More details--hop in your car and drive to Sea Pines Beach Club in 5 minutes. There you can rent beach chairs and umbrellas, sip a cool drink at the Beach Bar, or grab a freshly grilled burger from the grill. Children's activities, full baths, and a shore store complete the Beach Club. There is plenty of parking at the Beach Club, but in summer, we suggest best parking is before 10 am or after 2 pm.
BIKING: Biking is the BEST in Sea Pines. You can have adult and child-sized bikes, toddler seats, and pull-alongs all delivered and waiting for you when you arrive. Please see our Guest Pak that you will receive when you inquire with your prospective dates of reservation.
BEACH EQUIPMENT: We have 5 folding beach chairs at the house along with a big beach umbrella, sand toys and lots of beach towels. Take the umbrella with you to the beach OR, if you prefer, you can rent traditional chairs and umbrellas directly from the lifeguards. Full information is in our Guest Pak.

HOW TO CALCULATE YOUR TOTAL RATE: The published rental rate is a base figure to which is added 2 additional fees: (1) a 5% Resort/Amenity fee which covers such “must haves” as resort amenities, entry, parking where applicable, our Signature property preparation including full size, household (kitchen, laundry, bath) supplies and amenities, our fabulous Fili d’oro Italian bed linens and Signature stripe, all cotton bath linens, secure WiFi and complimentary 48-state long distance calling in all properties, and our unparalleled guest service including 24-hour direct phone line to a member of our team who will assist you with any issue or problem that may arise, (2) 10% sales and lodging taxes, and (3) damage insurance policy of $45 covering up to $1,500 in accidental damage when reported to BSSR before guest departure.
PAYMENT: a 50% deposit is required at time of reservation, with full payment at 60 days before arrival. Property smelled of dogs. Rental company tried to clean and called on the day of our arrival to apologize, saying they realized the smell was still bad. We made the best of the stay, but my guests were not happy. When we suggested to the rental agent that she might have problems with future rentals, she said we should have made our concerns known earlier. We asked for no refund or reduction in the rental fee, but were surprised when were called out for trying to help the rental company. Also, the electric company stopped by to turn off the power as the owner had not paid the bill. I'm glad we were there to call the rental company and not at the beach. Not a bad stay, just not the best attention to detail and consideration.

Owner response: To this guest, again, I offer our most sincere apologies. I would also like to further explain for future guests. This villa complex only allows pets for owners, not rental guests, as is the case with many HHI villas. Only very occasionally do the owners of this villa visit with their two large dogs in tow, and only for a few days at a time. Their most recent visit--which directly preceeded this guests visit-- ended up being a 12 day stay as the owners primary residence was victim to the unprecedented July storms in the northeast that left them and thousands of others with no power for two weeks. Simply put-- they could not go home. I, not the cleaning company, explained early Saturday morning to this guest that this was the case, and that we had had the carpets and the upholstery profesionally cleaned the day before. The results were not perfect but I had also left odor neutralizing candles burning and used several additional pet odor products. I also expressed that had we had any other open accomodations, I would have been happy to move them. He seemed happy that I had made allowances for his familys early check in and expressed no dissatisfaction until the end of their trip. Upon learning of this dissatisfaction, we did convey--and it sounds like we did so poorly--that we wish we had known of the problem sooner so that we could have taken further measures to assist. We take a great deal of pride in tending to all matters of guest concern immediately, answering phone calls at any and all hours. With regard to the electric company statement, I would be remiss if I did not say that I find this comment unnecessary and meanspirited. The electric company did not arrive to turn off the power but rather to leave a flyer stating that power would soon be disconnected if payment was not forthcoming. We arranged for payment immediately upon receipt of the notice. In deference to the owner I will not discuss further details here but doubt that any one of us can say that we have never in our lives made a mistake in bill paying. It happens occasionally to the best of us. We do try our very best to exceed all expectations and I hope that this guest will give us another chance on their next trip to the Island-- we have several properties in our portfolio where nary a dog has ever laid its head, we promise. Ideal vacation home!
This was the most well-stocked place we have ever seen! They had everything we needed and more! It was fantastic. The place was also extremely clean. You could tell that the owners took a lot of time cleaning it! It was perfect for a family of six! The location was also ideal. It was a little bit of a bike ride to South Beach but it was really fun to see the sights around Hilton Head. The villa is in the middle of everything so no drive is much longer than the others. Also we had lots of fun in the beautiful neighborhood pool! We met lots of very nice people, which made it a lot harder to say goodbye. We also LOVED the backyard! There was room to play with our frisbee and catch. Yet at the same time there was so much nature to enjoy! We had lots of fun naming the different animals we saw! But our favorite by far were the aligators! They were so fascinating! This home was perfect for our family and would be perfect for any other family! The resteraunts Beverly and Pat reccommended were all FANTASTIC! They helped us so much along the way and kept contact until the day we left. We will definitely try to stay here again!

My family has been going to HHI/Sea Pines for 20+ years. First, Beverly and Pat take great care to provide excellent information on the island for an old dog like me or a new pup to the island. They provide detailed information on areas of interest, dining, shoping,etc. They communicate from the time you request information to the time you leave. The Villa is in excellent condition and provides plenty of gator/bird watching from the back porch; more birds than gators. This porch area is very relaxing for morning coffee/paper reading and evening cocktails. (Grill is provided for cookouts, too.) The kitchen and master bathroom have just been remodeled and are very comfortable. The main area is open with lots of natural light. Dining table can easily fit 6 people. The upstairs bedrooms have good bedding but could use one roller bed and/or pull out couch for that extra guest or relative. Also, upstairs shares the bathroom. The location is the big decision. There are closer locations to the beach and Harbor Town; however, we prefer to park the car and bike all week. I would say 10 to 15 minutes to either the beach or H Town. You can always drive or take trolley if biking is not an option. The benefit is three tennis courts and large pool that is not crowed with too many people. There are many owners in the area and they are very friendly, too. I would say this is one of the best options if you are not within walking distance of the beach. The unit is very clean!

My family and I vacationed in this Beach Villa in June 2010 in Hilton Head and absolutely loved it! It has all been redone and has the charming little "touches" that make you feel like you are staying with a dear old friend. Not only was the kitchen stocked with anything you could think of, but the bathrooms were too. There were brand new bottles of shampoo, conditioner, soap, hair dryer, beautiful towels and linens! It was like staying in a home Martha Stewart had prepared for us. I can't say enough how much you will love this villa and Hilton Head too!

Our family returned this past weekend from our second stay at this property. There will be a 3rd and a 4th . . . as long as I can continue to afford it and can book it timely. I'm feeling guilty for not providing a review following last summer's stay, but our reason was selfish, we wanted to try to keep this gem for ourselves and the others who already know this property. We enjoyed the help of Beverly Serral Properties on HHI in finding this villa for our family, and to work with us and the owners to make these vacation visits the wonderful times that they've been. We've stayed in 2br villas in Lake Forest for quite a few years and think that, if you can't stay on the beach, this is the perfect location. We're only a 5-6 minute drive to the Sea Pines Beach Club/beach access, and not much longer for our children and grandchildren, who prefer to take the bike trails to the beach. We're also about 5-10 min. from 3 off-plantation grocery stores plus pharmacies, banks, restaurants, entertainment and the Cross Island Expressway. Back in Sea Pines Plantation we're just minute from either, Harbor Town or South Beach, both offering shopping, restaurants and entertainment. The entire unit is very nice and very comfortable and we all love the newly, and extensively, updated kitchen. My wife and I were particularly taken with the master bath that was given a similar treatment since last year's stay. We don't have to lug down our portable gas grill any longer since the owners have purchased a nice gas grill for the use of guests. It sits on the back deck where we enjoy watching the egrets, herons and cormorants fishing, and avoiding the 2 alligators, in the fresh water lagoon that meanders along the back of all the villas. We've never seen the alligators act aggressive, but DON'T FEED THE ALIGATORS so they'll remain that way. On cooler days, you may spot one, or both, alligators lying in the sun along the banks of the lagoon. Our family returns home to NC feeling really rested and refreshed, and this villa and this location are a large part of it!
