Welcome to our vacation home, Timber House! Timber House was built in 2003 and is located in Blue Spruce Village, a small (20 units), private community of Victorian townhouses nestled in the trees close to the Big Thompson river. Timber House is just outside the city limits of Estes Park near the original entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park.

"The house was warm and inviting and nicely appointed. We highly recommend Timber House to our friends and family."
Timber House consists of over 2,200 square feet of living space on three levels. The lower level is configured as a TV/game room with access outside to a lower patio. The main level consists of a spacious kitchen with wood floors, hickory cabinets and granite slab counters, a dining room with views up Giant Track Mountain, and a large great room with stone gas fireplace. Off of the great room, is a full length deck with a view of the Big Thompson river - a great place to relax in the sun and listen to the sounds of the water.
There is also a powder room complete with granite counter off the wood entry hall. The upper level consists of a master bedroom suite including a private tile and granite bath with jetted tub and walk-in closet. The master bedroom also has a private deck with views of the river - a great place for that morning cup of coffee!
Leave the door open and go to sleep to the sound of the Big Thompson. The upper level features 2 more bedrooms- including a second walk-in closet and adjoining tile and granite bath. You can also find a book and relax on the wing-back chair in the sitting area at the top of the stairs!
Recreational opportunities abound just outside your front door! Walk to the original entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park, which is now a trail that follows the Big Thompson river into Moraine Park. From our house, you can be in Moraine Park in 15 minutes checking out the elk and other wildlife. Blue Spruce Village owns its own section of the Big Thompson river - grab your fly rod, walk about 50 feet and start trout fishing.
Or, enjoy a picnic in the private common area next to the river. Just sitting on your deck you can view numerous wildlife - we have seen elk, deer, coyote, fox, great-horned owl, red-tailed hawk, and bear. Watch the hummingbirds visiting the feeder off the upper deck. Our vacation home is located only about 1.5 miles from the Rocky Mountain Park entrance and Visitor's Center and 5 minutes to downtown Estes Park.
Not only does the area offer many outdoor activity choices, but there are events in the Town of Estes Park that make each season special. To celebrate spring, the town hosts the annual Duck Race down the river and the Art Market in Bond Park. In the summer, do not miss the fantastic fireworks display over Lake Estes as well as the Scandinavian Midsummer Festival, Estes Park Marathon & 10K race, the Rooftop Rodeo, and live concerts at Performance Park. The art galleries also host Plein Air art exhibitions. During the autumn, no one wants to miss viewing the huge elk herds that gather in the lower valleys as the bulls challenge one another. As the leaves change and fill the mountains with gold and orange, Estes Park has fine arts and crafts shows, the Autumn Golds "Octoberfest", and the annual Longs Peak Scottish/Irish Highland festival. When the calm and beauty of winter arrives, the town starts off the holiday season with the Catch The Glow Holiday Celebration and Parade. A beautiful area to enjoy a home away from home! |
