This home-stay apartment exceeds all expectations! The apartment is spotlessly clean, private, roomy, comfortable, has A/C and everything else you need to enjoy your time in Chennai. You can cook your own food in the stocked kitchen or treat yourself to Sumathi's amazing home cooking. The apartment is a short drive from town --and also very convenient for visiting popular sites such as Mahabalipuram. It has a view of the ocean and the neighborhood is quiet and safe. The family that owns the apartment is so very kind and most accommodating! They will help you with anything you need - food, a driver, directions, site-seeing suggestions - anything! We were thrilled with our stay there and look forward to returning!

We stayed for a week and loved every moment. The accomodations are perfect --- comfortable bedrooms with a/c, a pleasant sitting area for hanging out, modern bath with shower, well-stocked kitchen for cooking, birds singing all around, breezes wafting through the windows, and fragrant flowers all around. The neighborhood is lovely and safe with friendly neighbors, and is in walking distance of the beach. It's a quick drive into town for shopping and exploring the city. The family members are some of the nicest people you will ever meet and Sumathi Srinivasan's cooking is divine! We would highly recommend staying here for a relaxing and authentic Chennai experience.
Owner response:Thank you so much for staying in my house.

Everything you could need is in the house - for work, day to day living etc. Decent broadband, a good kitchen, plenty of space and a washing machine! The beach is a short stroll away. The house makes a really great base to work or explore Chennai and TN. And if you don't feel like cooking Sumathi makes great food too. We came with two children for work and play and this house was perfect for them and for us. I really recommend it to anyone looking for an alternative to an expensive and impractical hotel.
Owner response:Thanks a lot .We miss you all.

This apartment was all that i wanted and more: within reach of Chennai but away from the traffic of the city. The place is spacious, clean and comfortable, with a well-equipped kitchen, fresh sea breezes and a view of the ocean. The internet connection is reliable. The family downstairs is lovely: gracious, considerate, and helpful in all matters. And i miss the home-made food you can order from them! I had friends over for dinner and they all said the place is exceptional. Quiet streets around for walks. Trips to Mahabalipuram and Pondicherry are easier from here.

We just got back from a wonderful trip to Chennai, where we were hosted by the Srinivasans in the their Mellow Madras luxury rental house! Wow! The house exceeded all of our expectations and the online descriptions. High ceilings, marble floors, very clean, everything works as advertised, or better. The physical setup is wonderful. Better than we had imagined. But to top it off that's not the best part. No, the best part was the warm welcome into their family that was generously offered by the Srinivasans. We only wish we could have stayed longer. They repescted our privacy but immediately we flet at home and welcomed. It was really magical. We look forward to a return visit. It's a great way to really be in India, outside the hotel cocoon. Nandri, Sumathi and family!
Owner response:Thank you Joe, Karen and Eli.we miss you all.
