The Aberdeen Cabins and Resort was created for families in 1997. Over 100 feet of solid woods between the cabins allows for privacy to all guests, yet the resorts atmosphere and activities, which includes a 6000 square foot massive full service restaurant lodge and bar, allows you to relax, while your children play. Some call them Log Cabins, some call them Log Homes. See for yourself.
Built by the Mountain Log Company, these 3 to 4 bedroom structures, with 2/3 full baths provide all of the comforts of home, while having your own dock on the spectacular Manitowish 10 Lake Chain out your door. On the Chain, you will enjoy waterskiing, quiet boat rides watching sunsets, going by boat for lunch and dinner or possibly just taking a boat ride to get ice cream. There are 4 great "northern Wisconsin" restaurants you can go to by boat from your own dock.
At the resort, you can also bike or take a stroll down to the Lodge for lunch or dinner, where your children will enjoy playing outside or in the video arcade room, while you enjoy a view from your table overlooking the water, with a sunset second to none. The bar, in addition to its many wildlife mounts, also has 3 televisions to watch any of your favorite sporting events.
As your day winds down, there's also no doubt that someone in your group will just love building a fire in your own firepit, in front of your cabin making s'mores on the water's edge under the stars. And, don't forget you can enjoy anytime of day some of the best fishing for walleye, bass, musky and panfish found in northern Wisconsin.
For families with smaller children, there is also nothing more enjoyable than sitting in one of the lounge chairs at the small sand beach, watching your children play amidst the backdrop of the undeveloped natural forest, directly across the water from where you sit. Deer, eagles, loons and otters will often appear and say hello. The resort also has a separate play ground area, centered in the middle of towering pines with swings, a climbing station and a slide.
