This unique log home originally was built in 1915 by a former Michigan City Mayor, and has recently been renovated. It features four sunny bedrooms and sleeps up to 12 people. Sleeping accommodations include one queen-size bed, two full beds, two twin beds, a pull out queen sofa/sleeper, and a double sofa/sleeper. The master bedroom enjoy a view of Lake Michigan, while two other bedrooms see a glimpse of the Lake.
There are three full bathrooms and a full service eat-in kitchen. The living room features a beautiful fieldstone gas fireplace and exposed original log walls. There are hardwood floors throughout the house. The house includes a sunroom, a full front porch with Lake view, a rear deck with gas grill and outdoor fireplace, and second two-tier deck with Lake views in a beautifully landscaped back living space. Pets are NOT allowed, No Smoking.

A VERY short drive (or a even a walk) can bring you to The Blue Chip Casino, Lighthouse Place Outlet Mall and fishing and sailing charters. Summer evenings are filled with the sounds of the free outdoor band concerts in nearby Washington Park. Summer weekends frequently feature music, art, and ethnic festivals. End your days at the beach watching beautiful sunsets silhouetting the skyline of Chicago.
A ten minute drive brings you to the Indiana Dunes National Lake Shore featuring 8500 acres of Lake Shore, bogs, forests, and enormous living sand dunes. Park rangers often lead special tours and hikes to help you learn about the regions unique ecology. Other nearby activities nearby include antiquing, golf, horseback riding, historic homes tours, and live summer theater. We are located only one and a half blocks from the Lake Michigan shores and three blocks from Washington Park and the Zoo. |
