  We just returned home to Chicago from our first Gulf Shores Spring Break. The two bedroom condo was perfect for our family of five (3 boys -- 9, 7, 5)! The location was excellent . . . . in a quieter part of the Orange Beach strip. The Hilton Garden Inn hotel is the West side of Harbour Place and two homes were being contructed on the East side. The view of the gulf from the balcony was awesome. Two of the days were windy, rainy and cold so the heated indoor pool was perfect for our children to swim and play. They loved the indoor/outdoor pool option. My oldest son enjoyed flying a kite on the beach and we all loved gathering sea shells! We tried to find whole sand dollars but all were broken . . . good luck! We enjoyed The Hangout, Lulu's and Tacky Jacks for dinner places because they had sand play areas for the kids to have fun while the adults could relax. The Tacky Jack's Deep West BBQ burger was awesome (5 star review by my son). The second bedroom at the condo was great because it had two twin beds and lots of room to sleep our other son on the floor. If you have young kids, we would suggest bringing a night light to place in the adjoining bathroom or bedroom because the room is quite dark at night. Thanks Melissa and Tim!

  This is was our 3rd year staying at this condo...and will be coming back next year! The unit has always been clean, tidy and in order. It's indoor/outdoor pool, hot tub, outdoor grills and the beach are just awesome! There are plenty of shells for those that enjoy walking the beach in search of them...and did I mention the sand dollars? One other note, the location of Harbor Place is wonderful. It's easy to get to restuarants, entertainment, Wal-mart, etc. but still be out of the "hustle and bustle". Yes, we will be returning again next year!

  Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

  The condo was perfect for our family of 5. Kitchen and dining area worked well for us. Ate all our breakfasts and 2 dinners in the condo (even ate out on patio one night). Easy parking right under condo and just a few steps to our boardwalk and the BEACH. Kids loved the indoor/outdoor pool and other residents were friendly. The condo owners (Melissa and Tim) were great to work with. We can't wait to go back again.

  My family and parents spent three nights in this condo, July 29-August 1, 2011. There were 4 adults and 2 kids. We had plenty of room in this nice 2 bedroom/2 bath with sleeper sofa. The spacious balcony had a nice side gulf view (closest side unit to the beach) and cool high top table and chairs. Liked how you enter units from indoors instead of an outside walkway. This fourth floor unit (actually third condo level with covered parking underneath) is conveniently located near the elevator. The unit was clean and in good condition. The cleaning service came to the door when we arrived to make sure everything was cleaned properly and in order. That was a first for us! Great service. The indoor/outdoor pool and hot tub were great. The indoor part of the pool was larger than at most complexes we've stayed at and had a "carwash" swim-through to the outdoor pool. Orange Beach/Gulf Shores is our favorite vacation spot by far, and we have been vacationing there for years. Our favorite take-out seafood shop happened to be just across the street from Harbour Place, so no waiting for a table and spending hours at a restaurant. You can walk or quickly drive over to Lartigues to get fresh cooked/steamed seafood, appetizers and sides. We loved eating in (condo balcony is a great spot) and spending our late afternoons/early evenings on the beautiful beach instead of coming in early and getting ready to go out. My parents rented chairs/umbrella from the beach service in front of Harbour Place and really enjoyed that. There are not a lot of high rise condos around this complex, so we did not feel cramped on the beach. Plenty of room to relax and play. There is a "mini" Walmart, Dollar General and several grocery stores just down the street. Of course, we have to visit our kids' favorite place, Advernture Island (for mini golf, video games, icees/ice cream and much more) which was also just down the street. There are numerous restaurants and shops closeby as well, if you want to get out and about. All in all, we had a great (but just too short) vacation. Tim and Melissa are great to work with and even called to check on us upon arrival. We would definitely rent this unit again and recommend it to our family and friends.

  The condo was very clean & somewhat well equipped. Had only 4 bath towels & 4 washclothes for 2 guests for a week. I'm sure the owner will ratify that . Beautiful beachy decorated, a large balcony with a great ocean side view. Owner quick on returning deposit. I used to love Panama City Beach, but am now an Orange Beach lover!

  Owner response: We have a new cleaning company so there will not be an issue with towels again.
