Tyra Summit is a one bedroom ski-in/ski-out Breckenridge vacation rental that can accommodate a maximum of two adults and four with kids.
When you think of everything that goes into making your dream ski vacation, one of the first things that comes to mind is convenient access to the mountain. You don’t want to deal with all the mundane annoyances of loading the car, parking, and most importantly, making sure you didn’t leave a glove or a hat back at the house. There is nothing better than ski-in/ski-out access, because with it there is no need to worry about those potential issues and that is what we offer at Tyra Summit.
The condo is ideal for those focused on convenience and location. And it isn’t just any Tyra Condo; it is a cozy one bedroom condo tucked away in a small complex on the garden level. It is perfect for a couple or small family that is eager to ski. Situated directly across the street from Four O’ Clock run and Snowflake Lift, it doesn’t get any better or easier than this.
In the morning, enjoy a cup of coffee while taking in the views of town and letting the sunshine warm you. Once you’re ready to face the day, walk across the street and let the adventure begin. If you get hungry during the day, come home for a hot lunch while you warm your toes next to the wood-burning fireplace. Then venture back out to finish your day with some more powder turns.
When the lifts close and your legs have been pushed to their limit, grab your swim suit and walk back across the street to enjoy the outdoor hot tub. While the jets rejuvenate your tired muscles watch as the snow falls around and promises another great day of skiing tomorrow.
When it’s time to eat you have the option of enjoying a meal prepared in your fully stocked kitchen back at the condo or drive the four blocks into town to taste some of the delicious meals that the surplus of restaurants offer. Whether you’re in the mood for a juicy steak or hot and sour soup there is something for everyone. After dinner you can choose to take part in Breckenridge’s famed nightlife or head home to watch your favorite movie on the plush leather couch.
No matter how you end your night we are confident that you will have enjoyed it. The over sized king bed will serve as the perfect place to lay your head and will guarantee a restful night’s sleep ensuring you are ready for another day in the Colorado Rockies.
In addition, each home is only supplied with Eco-friendly tissues, soaps, detergents and shampoos that have not been tested on animals. We strive to provide you with the best of everything to ensure you will come to love Breckenridge as much as we do.

We do not require 4WD for this home but we strongly recommend it when coming to Breckenridge as you are in a high alpine environment.
This home welcomes up to two adults or up to four with families.
4WD is not required for this home but we do recommend it for winter seasons.

We enjoyed our stay at your well equipped and comfortable condo. Even though it snowed quite a lot and we got some good skiing done and enjoyed the fresh powder on thursday. Since I attend a yearly week-long conference in Breck. I liked the idea of having a home-like environment rather than the usual motel room. Sure I would have to make my own bed, cook my own meals, clean up after myself, etc. but it seemed more naturally comfortable. One bedroom condo was ideal for my adult son and I to enjoy a long weekend at Beckenridge. Condo essentials were on hand. Entry is on second leve to this ground floor condo so full stairway upon entering condo. Hot tub if desired was in a separate building across the street. Not convenient. Downtown Beck was short drive from condo. Instructions for wireless internet was either incomplete or incorrect password. We stayed at Tyra Summit in January 2011 and really enjoyed the condo. It is pretty much ski-in, ski-out (have to cross the road) and has some nice features like a wood burning fireplace and access to a popular hot tub just down the road (a refreshing 5 minute walk) Everything was neat and clean in the apartment and in good shape. For a family of 3-4 it works fine with 2 in the bedroom and 1-2 on the pullout couch which was actually pretty comfortable! Walk to Main St is a bit far if the weather is cold but doable. We drove and parked in the lot at the bottom of the hill which dumps you out in the middle of Main St. If we go back to Breck next winter we'll definitely plan to stay at this lovely condo.Did you find this review helpful? About the owner: Hi! We are Pete and Imane and we own a small vacation lodging business called Book Breck Lodging. We manage several homes here in Breckenridge for second homeowners. The advantage of a small management company over renting directly from a homeowner or from a large resort is that we are on location and accessible. The best part of the job for us is that we get to meet people who also love Breckenridge or who are about to experience it for the first time. We each fell in love with this town because of the variety of things that it offers. It's a small town with a big personality. It offers the charm, quaintness and history typical of a small town, but combines the liveliness and variety of different fun and adventurous activities, high end restaurants and shopping, and year round community activities. It’s the perfect balance of two worlds that has created a laid back and fun place to be. We have yet to meet someone who hasn’t fallen under the Breckenridge spell! Sometimes we just talk to our guests on the phone. Sometime we’ll have a glass of wine with them and really get to know them. It depends on the guest and if they prefer privacy in their vacation home away from home, or if the have time to sit down with some locals. Either way, we want our guests to think of us as their friends in Breckenridge who they can come visit again and again.
Why the Owner Chose Tyra Summit:
A very common line around here is “we came for the winter and stayed for summer”. I can’t tell you how many “locals” say they came here to experience just one season of fun on the slopes before returning to the “real world”. Five, 10, 20 years later they’re still here! Some tried to leave and ended up coming back thinking that retirement was just too far off! Breckenridge is an adult's playground. With or without children, there are numerous activities and events to keep all ages happy.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
I visit this property regularly and know it about as well as I know my own home. I can tell you that my favorite aspect of this home is it’s coziness. It’s a condo like so many are around here, but the wood burning stove, the south-east facing windows/deck and the fact that it is only one of three units in the building make this a perfect retreat for one or for a small family. In addition, you only have to walk across the street to access Four O’clock Run in the winter for ski in/out accessibility or use the same trail to hike in the woods in the summer. You can take the trail right down into town as well, which makes it ideal for those who like to walk. This is where my mom stays when she comes out alone for a visit.
