VERY CLOSE TO THE BEACH - Public Beach Access leads you onto the stunning soft white sands and emerald green waters of the Panhandle (2 and a half minutes). Our home suits everyones needs from family and friend get togethers through to Weddings, birthday celebrations, etc. A short walk down to the beach in the evening is a must where you can enjoy the evening sounds of beach waves, cooling sands and watch the sun set – serenity to end your perfect day.
There is so much to do in Destin, if you can tear yourself away from our luxurious home for long enough! If anyone in your group is interested in recreational activities, you will be pleased to know there are golf courses, waterparks, go-karting, various restaurants, fire work displays, dolphin cruises, some fabulous outlet malls (Silver Sands), etc. within an approx. 3 mile drive and we would be only too happy to provide further information on these activities if you so wish (some activities are limited over the low season months). There is also a the huge convenience of a supermarket (Publix) less than a mile from Peace Place, for you to stock up on your vacational supplies (there are two bbq's for your use - gas and grill coal). The private pool has optional heating and, therefore, available for use all year round! The pool is also surrounded by a wall and foilage so you will have the privacy to enjoy with your group without the worries of pedestrians trying to have a nose at what you're up to.
All our guests enjoy free WiFi and cable television.
Peace Place has the uniqueness of the apartment being attached to the main house, so it can be used either separately by closing it off (it is self-contained) or alternatively by opening it up into the main house, it becomes one home. The choice is purely yours and your groups. You can alternate its use to meet your individual needs, e.g. if someone in the group (e.g. grandparents) might be looking for a little quieter time during the day or evening, this is easily accommodated by yourselves. As the apartment is self-contained, some families/groups love the fact that there are two kitchens, two washing machines and two dryers for use – a great perk when trying to cook and clothes wash with big groups.

I would like to start off by saying thank you to David and Katherine. You kept in touch with me throughout the process. Thank you. The house was gorgeous and it was really close to the beach. It was oh so open and the inviting. My families included 10 adults and 10 children. The beach was so close that I felt comfortable letting the teenagers go and enjoy themselves. They sure took advantage of that. We enjoyed the beach and the pool. It was really great to be able to stay and have all the comforts of home and have beach and pool accessories that we could use and not have to take home with us. Great Vacation Home I stayed at Peace Place from Sept 27-Oct 1 with 8 of my friends and could not have asked for a better time. The house was awesome. It had everything we needed. Very spacious, modern, and comfortable. The only thing we had a problem with was the AC, but that was fixed promptly. I would definitely recommend this place for families, groups of friends, or any type of celebration. We all loved it. I really hope I get a chance to vacation again here soon. Thanks David. I'm having trouble leaving a review, is there any chance you could do it for me? "A group of 13 friends and myself recently spent a weekend at Peace Place and loved it! We all fit very comfortably, the pool area was even prettier than advertised, and the beach was absolutely perfect. The owner David and Harmony Beach Rentals made the process simple and painless. The Thread landed in Destin for a memorable New Year. Fun was had by all and the house provided an excellent resting place. Things were learned; Angela got a rubbish go kart, Delia & Ben talk a lot more when together. Families from Kansas and California met for a wonderful week of sun, swimming, great food and fantastic memories - all with the back drop of the Dolphin Street - a fantastic, comfortable and functional home for 17 people for a week that went by much too fast. Destin was a great place to visit! How lucky we were to find such a lovely home to relax by the pool, play games and make family memories to last a lifetime. What a wonderful time we had with our entire family of 18 people from ages 2 to 62. The weather was perfect and this wonderful house was perfect. Spent most of our time at the pool and beach. About the owner: We have owned Peace Place since January 2012 and are therefore fairly new to the rental market and learning very quickly, as well as meeting some wonderful guests along the way. We are British and fell in love with Destin the very first time we visited and, having loved it so much, we not only bought our vacational home, we bought a residential home for us to enjoy 6 months of the year. We could have bought in Spain as it is so much closer for us but we just adored Destin and the people that live here too. People we have met on vacation in Destin are either frequent visitors or, if it is their first visit, they only speak highly of the area and always say they will be returning again. We know that we made the right choice. We hope you choose to stay in our home and enjoy it for the reasons we bought it, it gives us great pleasure to see people smiling, laughing, reminising etc. when coming to our home. It's an honour. Why the Owner Chose Crystal Beach:
Fabulous size! Those who stay in the house often comment on how much bigger it is than they imagined from the photos.
It is really close to the beach and the location allows for you to choose whether you wish to be on a busier stretch of beach or more secluded.
It has it's own Private Pool!
The Unique Benefits at this House:
The apartment joins the main house and can be shut off to split the living arrangements and provide quieter times if necessary, eg Grandparents. Secondly for weddings it allows for the bride and groom to get ready separately but not being shut off from the rest of the bridal group.
There is ample parking for the group to park their cars.
For birthday celebrations, the birthday guest can stay comfortably in the apartment whilst the main house is prepared for their surprise.
Having the mainhouse and apartment, provides 2 kitchens, 2 fridges, two washing machines, 2 driers, etc. A massive help when there is a large group!
The private pool cannot be seen by people driving past or walking (unless the come right up to the entrance gate which is highly unlikely).
Recently redecorated and flat screen tvs installed.
