This brick, ranch home is located on a small lake that is surrounded by 11,000 acres of state land. The house is located on three acres and you cannot see any houses. You will have a big yard where you can sun bathe, have campfires, cookout and play volleyball and badmitten without any neighbors. There are 3 fire pits, 3 picnic tables, and a swing. The rental also includes 2 kayaks and a canoe. There is also an outdoor shower.
The Potawatomi trail is located just across the street. You can walk over to the hiking trail or you can get on the bike trail from this location. The lake is a small lake that is great for swimming, kayaking and fishing. It is a very peaceful setting with lots of wildlife in the area. This is a non motorized lake.
You probably won't want to leave the house the entire time you are here, but if you do, there are plenty of recreational activities within just a few miles. Hudson Mills Metropark is close by and they have a paved bike trail and golf course. You can also get on the Huron River and go kayaking or fishing. The Portage Lake access site is also close by. Silver Lake State Park is located just around the corner and they have a public beach, boat rentals, and volleyball courts.
