Wake to sunlight streaming in from the balcony of the bedroom. Step into the living room for a beautiful view of the Alps. Take a 5-minute walk to the village for a breakfast of buttery, flaky croissants and freshly brewed coffee. Then, in winter, head to the mountains for skiing or sledding on the slopes - stopping to lunch on some of the hearty food of the Valais region.
In the summer, hike through wildflowers and streams to the melody of bells ringing, cows mooing and goats bleating. Or, walk to the golf course or enjoy water sports at nearby Lac Moubra. There are plenty of biking opportunities. If the weather is clear, a meal on the balcony, watching the sun set over the Alps is the perfect end to a day. In the winter, cozy up inside, with cheese fondue or raclette in front of the fire, watching the snow fall gently on the village.

CRANS MONTANA is one of Switzerland’s big, world-famous ski resorts, occupying the sunniest plateau in the Alps, facing south over the Rhône valley with a spectacular panorama of mountain peaks. It also has some of the finest shopping, wining and dining in the Alps. The resort has the advantage of access to ski year-round on the Plaine Morte glacier, way up above 3000m. Skiing aside, the place is best known for hosting the Omega European Masters golf tournament (aka Swiss Open) every September, second only to the British Open for prestige and top names. Crans’s scenic course – “by far the most spectacular tournament site in the world” according to Greg Norman – was redesigned in 1999 by Seve Ballesteros. The villages have activities for all ages, and families with children are welcomed. The tourist office publishes a monthly list of activities, including concerts and sporting events as well as maps of the pistes or ski runs and pricing. The casino is open 7 days a week. There are hiking, biking and walking trails for people of every ability.
This apartment has been our family’s vacation spot for many years. We typically spend 3 months a year there, ourselves. So, it is very clean, well-maintained, and well-appointed with every comfort, decorated in a traditional European style that says "Welcome." It is on the second story and has three balconies with good views of the Alps and the surroundings. There are two baths: shower/sink/WC and tub/bidet/sink/WC.
One bedroom has a queen bed and private balcony. A second bedroom has a unit with shelves and an activity table or two comfortable twin/single murphy beds with inner spring mattresses. All things necessary for meals (china, flatware, cups, glasses, spices, cookware and utensils) are provided. Kitchen, bath and bed linens for two people are included in the price; additional sets are available for 35 CHF per person. The dining table seats 6 comfortably; a teak patio set is also available for dining al fresco. Some prepared foods, paper products, local wines and firewood are available on the 'honor system.' Please replace what you use! The building has private, off street parking available and is accessible by public transportation. The free seasonal (winter) bus stops within 50 meters from the building. From the Train station in Sierre/Siders or the funiculaire in Montana, taxi service is available. Stop by the Tourist office to pay your visitor's tax and pick up maps, directories, and monthly events calendar. The Visitor's tax is CHF 2.50 per day for adults and CHF 1.25/day for children ages 6-15.
RENTAL / LETTING INFORMATION:
* One week is the quoted rental period; discounts may be given for rentals of 2 or more weeks. The week begins at 15:00 on Saturday until 10:00 the following Saturday. (exceptions may be made, just ask us!) Shorter stays may be accomodated. The apartment can also be rented for one month, several months, a season or a long term basis. Please contact us for details and pricing arrangements.
* A 50% downpayment is required to reserve, which includes a CHF 100 non-refundable processing fee. Your downpayment (minus the CHF 100) is refundable if you cancel at least 45 days before the beginning of the rental period.
* The following amounts are due 30 days before the rental begins: - Cleaning Fee..................CHF 200 - Linens............................CHF 35 per each guest beyond the first two - Security Deposit ...........CHF 500 (covers internet and phone usage, remainder refundable if apartment is left in good condition) - Pet Deposit....................CHF 300 (if applicable) - Final 50% of total rental
