Thank you so much for a wonderful stay! The house is in a great location, close to everything we wanted to see and do in the area - Fontana Dam, Tail of the Dragon, Hiking, Santeetlah/Fontana Lake, Rafting, Cherohala Skyway. The view from the porch is amazing. We enjoyed grilling out and relaxing in the great room after a long day. Can't wait to come back!

Hey Lisa, Thanks again. The cabin is amazing, the views were awesome, sitting on the deck listening to the birds and the thundershowers (lol). We mapped all of the roads before arriving and were able to ride them, tail of the dragon, cherahola, diamondback, moonshiner, hellbender, six gaps and many more. The cabin is very close to the dragon. We had a awesome stay and the communication with the owner was great. Looking forward to another trip in the future. Thanks again, We highly recommend the rental.

We had a great time staying at this cabin. It is in a great location with plenty to do. The cabin was very private with nice furnishings. It is close to all of the great activities, but yet far enough away to have some peace and quiet and down time. I would definitely recommend this to a friend.

Close enough to everything; yet, still secluded and private. Thank you, Lisa, we truly enjoyed are stay! It was SO peaceful!!! Great view!!! We enjoyed Joyce Kilmer, Tail of the Dragon, Hellbender 28, Fontana Dam (oh, the views from there!) Cherohala Skyway, hiked on the AT, then headed for the Blue Ridge Parkway! Carolina's Kitchen in Robbinsville DOES have the best food in town. Pop & Nana's was good, too, for a snack, breakfast, or when you're in a hurry. If you want to eat out on a Sunday evening, keep in mind that the surroundings towns shut down by 8pm. Bring your own books, games, puzzles and DVDs, none are provided.

WOW! Just returned home from one of the best vacations my family has been on, and we have visited 18 other states and nothing compared to what we experienced last week. My son-in-law just returned from Iraq and we wanted to do some R&R and some fun stuff, boy did we ever accomplish both. The cabin was awsome and much more room then we expected. The cabin had every amenity you need and more. The best part was we had six adults and a 2 year old and when we came home in the evening we each had our own space. Lake Santeetlah was great, we took out a houseboat one day and fished the next, nice bass, trout and crappie. The lake has a public beach and we went there twice, it was crystal clear water and beautiful white sand. There are numerous areas to cliff/rock jump into the lake and we did that as well. The cabin is loaded with information and brochures of things to do. We went to Sassafras Falls and took some great pictures. There are actually 7 different falls within 25 minutes of the cabin. In the evenings we would sit out on the second floor deck and listen to all of the birds, the hummingbird feeder had plenty of action and they were fun to watch as well. Watching the NBA finals on the huge flatscreen was also fun!! The cabin was very well maintained and everything was immaculate and clean. This is going to become a yearly event for our family and the owners should be proud of such a nice place at such a reasonable price. We only stayed 6 days and only made it lake Fontana one evening, a big beautiful lake and we will explore more next year. Thanks again for the GREAT accomodations.

Hi Lisa/Jeff, want to make good on promise to review and thank you formally for what everyone in our party agrees was the best ever visit to the mountains. You have it set up so well, everything is as anyone would want it from the firewood to the big screens to the kitchen and and the bedrooms, this place has comfort and space for all, you have it priced very fairly, I can't wait to get back up there. the driveway requires conviction, but the privacy it renders being the very last address at the top is well worth the effort required to accupy "the eagles nest". Now about that hot tub for the lower deck...... see you in the spring..... and again next fall. Gary Spurlock

`We had the "BEST" time here! The cabin is clean, comfortable, and very relaxing. Loved the Big TV. We rode our bikes, and the contryside beauty, the curves, the vistas and "The Dragon" were all spectacular!!! The best was at the end of Cherahola Skyway. Thanks for sharing. It was a GREAT time! We will be back!!!

Very clean home at the end of the road on a mountain. Nicely decorated, and very comfortable with leather furniture and beautiful hardwood floors in the living room. Flat screen televisions in the upstairs living room, and family room/downstairs living room. Washer/dryer, central air, Internet service, free long distance phone service and great kitchen. The access road to the house is just under a half mile long, some gravel, some asphalt, and some concrete. It is in places very steep, though the steepest portions are paved for traction. We rode our motorcycles up and down the mountain, the road is challenging, but not something you'd need a dirt bike or 4 wheel drive vehicle for. There are other homes along the road on the mountain with the residents enjoying the peace and quiet of the area, so bringing a motorcycle with no mufflers would be in poor taste... The owners were very friendly, went out of their way to provide extra info on the area, and were very generous. Great communication back and forth, we were treated like old friends from beginning to end. We were very pleased and look forward to renting the "cabin" again! Rob from Illinois

The cabin was gorgeous, very rustic but luxurious at the same time. The beds were comfy and the views out the master bedroom window was amazing. My favorite part was the fireplace, it just made the living room just that much more romantic and relaxing. The split floor plan is great if you have teenagers or another couple with you. We left the kids to the downstairs and they LOVED the big screen tv! We all loved it! The only issue was the driveway up to the place - if you're towing a trailer, you'll have to leave it at the bottom of the mountain. And be very careful on the bikes - lots of loose gravel. Also, I have to note that I got my security deposit back ASAP, which was unexpected and great!

This place was great - very comfortable. Perfect for a couple - we just used the upstairs. But plenty of room for family and friends too. It had nice furniture and electronics - something you don't find often in a rental. It was a treat to watch a movie with surround sound. Even at the end of August, it was cool enough to have the windows open, which was very enjoyable. The house is about 20 minutes from many towns and attractions. We went out and about during the day, then cooked dinner at home.
