Brand new in May, 2007! This secluded, private, two bedroom with bedroom/loft and 2 1/2 bath rustic cabin sleeps up to 6 and sits on 2+ secluded, private acres, with no other cabins on either side. The property is adjacent to an 80-acre horse farm and is located at the end of a dead-end paved road. The entrance starts out as pasture and has a long, 500' paved driveway as it climbs up a wooded mountain where the cabin sits. It has an 8-foot wrap-around covered and non-covered double deck with rocking chairs and swings to view the pasture with horses below and the surrounding mountains. Deer, wild turkeys and other wildlife can be seen at various times throughout the year.
This roomy cabin is approximately 1,700+ square feet and features a high vaulted ceiling in the great room with a stacked stone fireplace, dining area which seats six, is lodge-decorated and includes antiques in the bedroom/loft area. It has a log king-size bed in the master bedroom, a log queen size bed in the upstairs bedroom, and a full size antique iron bed in the large bedroom/loft area, which also includes a combination pool, card, foosball and ping pong table.
This all-wood cabin is very unique and unlike most in that some of the wood was hand-cut, planed and tongue & grooved by the owner and includes a variety of different woods; white & red oak flooring, black walnut mantle and bathroom cabinets, red cedar master bathroom cabinets, and poplar kitchen cabinets, in addition to white pine walls throughout, white pine floors, white and western cedar hand rails, pickets and posts; no sheetrock or carpet. It features a large kitchen, separate laundry room with full size washer and dryer and a spacious master bath with heated Jacuzzi, separate shower and a double sink.Just down the road is a pool with pool house including a snack bar with sandwiches and hot dogs for a $5 per day admission. Cabin is located just minutes away from Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, Cades Cove, Townsend and the Wear Cove entrance into the Great Smoky Mountains National Park at Metcalf Bottoms in East Tn. Sorry, no pets allowed or house parties and no smoking inside cabin. |
