Our family thoroughly enjoyed this house. The highlights included the HUGE covered porch upstairs- we enjoyed the rocking chairs & chase lounger with the great view of the bay & bridge to the island. Another plus was the convenience to the island stores/lighthouse/beach access. Several other family members were staying on the island so we met them at the basketball court for some fun times & others climbed to the top of the lighthouse. Our girls loved using the bicycles to ride a 'big' block on the bay side. One night got cool enough for building a fire in the firepit & we cooked s'mores. Very spacious inside & ceiling fans in every room. Plenty of dishes/cooking utensils in the kitchen. The jetted tubs were also put to good use-
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children.

This home is amazing better than the pictures and the owner is soooo sweet!! We stayed here May 2008. The weather was perfect and water was warm. We couldn't have asked for a nicer time. Thanks Dana!!

We just got back from this lovely house on the water. It was by far, the best vacation rental we've ever stayed at. Everything you could possibly need was supplied in the kitchen and elsewhere. Loads of movies and games for those rainy days. The wrap around porch was exquisite and the owner is very sweet (provided us with inside info on the island to help make our stay even more enjoyable). We all hope to come back. My children especially liked looking for baby turtles on the beach at night with our red turtle safe lights (see the lighthouse shop for red covers). My dog loved the ghost crabs! Thanks Dana for a wonderful place to stay.

The house and location on the bay were perfect. Private, quiet, and tranquil. The house and ammentities were as advertised. Fantastic kitchen, living area, bedrooms and back porch. Plenty of parking and storage underneath the house. We will be back.

If you want a place where there is nothing to do but go to the beach and just relax this is the place. The home was really nice and I felt like we were at home. I would highly recommend staying in this home.

We had a perfect week on SGI, and it is in large part due to this wonderful vacation home. Peace and quiet, tons of delicious oysters, lots of wildlife (there is a bald eagle nest less than 1/4 mile away), and beaches that are to die for combined to make this a memorable vacation. The house was all it was advertised to be, well equipped and comfortable, and enough room for our extended family. What a reunion! I would recommend this place to anyone, and plan to return next year.
