October 2011 was our first (of what we have decided will be many more) visit to this cabin. We fell in love! It was like home away from home. Extremely clean & well stocked with everything from lots of extra pillows, blankets, & quilts all the way to at least 2 dozen plush bath towels & wash cloths. The Kitchen was modern & fully stocked with everything from just about any small kitchen appliance you may need, pots, pans, bake-ware,& dishes to a robust supply of coffee's,hot cocoa, spices, sugar, sweeteners, cooking oils, you name it, its probably there! All the beds were really comfortable & the rooms were well laid out. The living room had a new cozy sofa, 2 rocker/recliners, a glider & ottoman, & 2 other upholstered chairs. The decor was amazing throughout the cabin. There was ample dining space for at least 6-8 people. Best of all the views & location was spectacular!!! My children especially loved the large wooden play house/swing set out front. The one day it rained during our stay we chose from a large selection of family friendly dvd's to keep us entertained. To top it all off, Rebecca was absolutely joyful to do business with! She made sure our stay was perfect!! Rebecca is especially knowledgeable on places to go that are "off the beaten path". That made our stay even more memorable!!! If you truly want a vacation experience that will delight any age from 2 to 92, bridge the gap & bring families closer together, & will surely be fondly remembered by all.... "THIS IS THE PLACE"!!!!!! God Bless You & Yours! The McCallie's Charleston, SCRecommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, age 55+, families with young children, people with disabilities.
Owner response: Thank you...we feel like our cabin is as close to heaven as you can get with two feet on the ground. We also enjoy our mountain retreat! thanks again.
