This fully appointed, professionally decorated home is now being offered as a vacation rental. Just a frisbee throw to the beach and a few minutes' walk to neighborhood dining and shopping, the three story quality-crafted house sleeps ten in comfort-- but also works great as a hideaway for two.
Features include a large gourmet kitchen, high speed internet, three TV's including a 42 inch plasma screen, leather couches, and even a dumbwaiter. The combination den/workout room has a bench with mats and freeweights, and doubles as a 5th bedroom with a brand new sofa bed. There is a hot tub and 2 kayaks on site with paddles and life preservers.
Wind down from your busy day on the beach with a deluxe outdoor shower and private spa, then enjoy sweeping vistas from the islands to the mountains on one of the 3rd floor decks.

The location was divine but there were a number of annoying problems in the house as you can note in our list. The MOST annoying by far was the condition of what was described as a NEW sofa bed in the workout room. The support was so bad one of the couples was forced to put the mattress on the floor to be able to use the bed. This is totally unacceptable for a house that sleeps 10! The third floor master suite was also disappointing. Most of the light bulbs were burnt out, we couldn't use the tub because the plug is broken and one of the shower doors doesn't move making it a hazard. Please make these problems a priority before renting the home again. I know vacation rentals have wear and tear but at more than $500 per night I really did expect a more immaculate interior. I would only recommend the property if these issues are addressed.Owner response: Deborah, Thanks for your comments. I had asked Yolanda W to have you tell me about your stay, so thanks - Yolanda is a good friend of mine. I have taken care of all of the issues you have pointed out. I use a property management company that is more than happy to take care of problems 24/7. I hope that you realized that you could call them anytime. I do not live in Ventura and work full time so I rely on their management. I have found them to be very responsive in fixing problems. That being said, we can always strive to be better. Once again, thanks.

Very well furnished, lots of space. Close to everything.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, pet owners, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children.

This was our best Fall vacation ever. We dropped our daughter at college and then had a wonderful 2 weeks at your spacious property. She even came down to visit on weekends. The kayaks, outdoor shower, and nice big hot tub were added bonuses. Thanks so much. If she makes it through her Freshman year we will definitely be back! ;-)Did you find this review helpful? Summer 2012 .. Jun 17th - Sept 9th .. $3690/week. 1 week minimum Winter 2012-2013 .. Sept. 10th, 2012 through mid June, 2013 Nightly: $590 (2 night Minimum) Weekly: $3105 Monthly: $4650 Rates 20% higher for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year with a 3 night Minimum. Rates includes 10% City Bed Tax. $1000 deposit required + $55 processing fee.

And all those activities are why we love our vacation rental property in Ventura. It is less than a minute walk to the beach, down a narrow lane filled with an eclectic mix of larger new homes and smaller funky cottages. We bought this property for its proximity to the ocean, of course, but also for its generous floorplan with extra bedrooms and broad amenities, from its outside shower and hot tub to its large gourmet kitchen.
