Perfect ski rental

This is a fantastic choice for a ski trip to Sugarbush or Mad River. You may have to drive a few more minutes than with a condo at the mountain, but you will pay a little less and get a lot more. The place was immaculate, had a spacious living room and kitchen, and the customer service was outstanding.

Owner response: Our unit is about 10 minutes from Sugarbush Ski area and 15 minutes from Mad River Glen. We are close to all the shopping, restaurants and river activities in the valley.

Great getaway spot!

My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon, and everything about it was perfect!! The rooms are beautiful, tastefully furnished, and perfectly clean. The bathroom is large and spacious and stocked with any and all small bathroom items a guest could want. It is close to all the local attractions, but still feels private and romantic. The restaurants in the area are top notch and the kitchen in the rental is large, spacious, and well equipped in case you plan to do any cooking. The gardens surrounding the house are lovely, as is the entire region. We took lots of day trips to different parks, museums, etc., and greatly appreciated the guest information provided for us be the owners, and all the recommendations we received from friendly locals. We can't wait to come back!

lovely stay in VT

This home is in a lovely setting, relatively centrally located. The rental is attached to the owners home but it feels secluded and quiet. The apartment is very clean and well maintained, and larger than it looks in photos. Unfortunately we did not use the hot tub since it was not right by the apartment but more on the owners side. We didn't want to leave our toddler sleeping that far away. Overall, I'd recommend this rental.

Owner response: Thanks for the review, I believe there are baby monitors that will work, I will suggest to other guests that they bring their monitor along so that they can enjoy the hot tub and not worry about the child/children. We want all our guests to enjoy every amenity that the house and Vermont have to offer

Joslin Gardens: A Little Bit of Heaven in Vermont!

My wife and I were delighted to find that the property was absolutely perfect! The listing description was quite accurate in all details and we were thrilled to find the place was exceptionally well appointed, maintained and clean. The large kitchen had every utensil, pan, dish, bowl and small appliance you could want. We were pleased to find that there were even spices and some dry goods. The layout had a large, open floor plan with windows flanking the perimeter which had beautiful views of the immaculate grounds. Not only were linens provided, but even soaps and shampoos were stocked in the shower and sinks. Paper goods such as tissues, paper towels and toilet tissue were provided with spares as well. There was even laundry detergent for the fabulous new machines. There was absolutely no skimping on providing all the necessities. (There was no dishwasher which was clearly stated in the listing, but the double basin sink made cleaning up a breeze.) Our stay was intended as a foliage trip and for this purpose alone the central location was perfect. We were able to go running in the beautiful surroundings and had quick and easy access to everything within a very few minutes. The owners were extremely responsive to all our questions and were most professional. If I return to Vermont, I know where we're staying!

Lovely home

We stayed here for four weeks and had a great time. The owners were very friendly and very willing to help us if we ever needed it. The location is beautiful. The rental had everything we could have needed during our stay. Very clean and well maintained. It is a perfect place to stay for any season. We would not hesitate to recommend this rental to any friends or family who were looking to visit the area.

The best ski rental

Terry cloth robes, hot tub, beautiful bathroom tiles, well appointed kitchen, plush living room furniture, clean, nicely maintained, three minutes to Waitsfield and 10-15 to the Sugarbush lifts....all at a very affordable price. Among the best places I've stayed when skiing in Vermont. I will surely return.

Owner response: Ski Season is almost over but we are booking for spring and summer. Being only a 3 minute drive from Waitsfield is great but we are also only a few minute drive to both the Inn at the Round Barn and the Skinner Barn for wedding guests.The walk to Waitsfield Village is lovely and we encourage our guests to stop at The Green Cup Cafe for breakfast overlooking the Mad River

perfect rental

This was a lovely, well equipped rental. The premises were clean and well appointed with plenty of linens and towels. The property is well located for easy access to surrounding ski mountains. The owners could not have been more helpful and accomodating. I would highly recommend!

Owner response: Joslin Gardens comfortably sleeps 4 guests. We hope all our guests think of Joslin Gardens as there 2nd home. We always have plenty of towels, sheets, terry cloth robes (for a quick trip to the hot tub) and paper supplies available. Our guests only have to pack clothes, skis and any food to stock the large refrigerator/freezer. We even have a washer and dryer plus laundry detergent, so you won’t have to pack extras of anything

Light, Bright, Clean and Comfortable

We just completed our second stay at Joslin Gardens and would go back again in a heartbeat. We are skiers traveling with two teenage boys. The property has beautiful views and is extremely comfortable, peaceful, and clean. The owners are friendly, accommodating but not intrusive. The rooms are all very spacious and the layout is open and light. We cooked all our breakfasts and some dinners and the kitchen is well-equipped for simple meal preparation. There is excellent dining options close by for those who like to eat out. The best skiing in the Northeast is minutes away at Sugarbush Mountain.

We loved this rental. Friendly and extremely accommodating hosts, ideal location, and very, very comfortable and beautiful apartment with a well-equipped kitchen, laundry in unit, etc.. Really couldn't ask for more. We'll definitely be returning!

What a great place! I've stayed at many different rentals in the Waitsfield/Warren area, and this is my favorite to date. Spotless, comfortable, spacious. Did I mention spotless? Will be back for sure.

Wonderful place to stay

My wife and I stayed here for two weeks in Jan 09 and I cant say enough good things about both the property and the owners. From our initial interest in the property to sadly leaving there, Ralph and Barbara were most helpful. Even on my first email when I expressed an interest in staying there, they guided us to other places that may have been closer to Sugarbush for skiing. In my mind, you cannot ask for fairer than that. Absolute wonderful people to deal with, from taking delivery of our online shopping, nothing was too much trouble. The property itself is just so cosy, comfy and any other great adjectives one cares to use when describing a home from home. Everything you could think of is in the kitchen and if its not its got for you. Being Irish we have an affinity for tea instead of coffee, on asking Barbara if she had a kettle for us to use one was provided the next day. On our previous visit to the Warren area, we stayed at the Claybrook apartments at Sugarbush. They are pretty plush to stay in and I cant pay Joslin Gardens a higher compliment that on our next visit to VT that we wouldnt even consider Claybrook for an instant because of how much we enjoyed our trip to Barbara and Ralph's property.

Recommended for: Adventure seekers, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

Lovely getaway for our family

My family of four stayed at Joslin Gardens in October for a week while attending a wedding at the Round Barn. It was wonderful to be able to cook our own meals and do our own laundry. The apartment is clean, well appointed and even has heated floors. Barbara and Ralph were so kind. Barbara even went so far as to bring over some kids movies on a day where the weather was uncooperative. While there we visited Ben and Jerry's, The Vermont Teddy Bear Factory and a local glass blowing studio. If I am ever in the area again I will not hesitate to stay there again.

This spacious and well appointed suite with its own private entrance suited my wife and I perfectly. Lovely views over extensive lawns and gardens. An appealing rural ambience yet just a few minutes drive into Waitsfield village. The bottom line is that it met our every expectation and we were well pleased with our choice of accommodation.

Joslin Gardens is the perfect winter retreat for our family! We recently discovered the Mad River Valley and the beauty and challenges that it offers for skiing. Joslin Gardens is conveniently located to the ski areas and made our weekend get away feel like home. The amenities are top notch and clean with alot of creature comforts. We not only enjoyed the luxury of the hot tub after a long day of skiing but also the convenience of the well appointed kitchen so that we could make home cooked meals. Our stay at Joslin Gardens was our first official "family" vacation with our 5 month old daughter Eryn. The three of us had a FANTASTIC time! We were very relaxed. We all enjoyed the beautiful suite in which we stayed and the gorgeous grounds surrounding the entire property. Eryn even made two new "friends" in "Duke" and "Duchess", two four legged furry friends that inhabited the main house! My husband and I would reccommend this place to ANYONE wanting a secluded, relaxing and quiet place to stay, whether for a few days, or maybe even a week. Thanks to our amazing hosts!

Barb & Ralph, You are lifesavers! Thanks for allowing us to rent on such short notice. Your place was like heaven in comparison to the first place we stayed. And to think you were still able to provide us with tasty juice and other breakfast needs! Your place is AMAZING - so fresh, sunny and breezy. The view to the gardens is amazing! The furniture was extremely comfy. We love leather! The washer/dryer came in handy having two children and a very 'active' husband. We enjoyed our walks on Common Road - what beautiful views, and the boys had a wonderful time swimming in Mad River by the covered bridge. The Waitsfield Farmer's Market was impressive. I'm looking forward to returning just for another chocolate/banana crepe. YUM! You're so blessed to live in such a glorious place. And we were amazed by the proximity of your location to Burlington, Montpelier, Waterbury, Stowe and other major attractions. We will DEFINITELY return and hope to send our relatives for a visit as well. We hope to see you again in the near future. We felt so 'at home' at Joslin Gardens. Enjoy the fall! Just wonderful accomodations! The suite is beautiful and everything you need for breakfast is included, what a treat! We especially enjoyed the hot tub apres- ski and the warm radiant heated floors. We'll certainly return on our next visit to Sugarbush!
