The villa is set in a small holiday village overlooking the Bay of Porto Taverna on the north-east coast of Sardinia.
A restaurant and a pizzeria are within walking distance, and 1km away there are a news stand and a small supermarket. For bigger shops and restaurants of any kind, Porto S. Paolo is 4 km northbound or S. Teodoro, a vibrant village 7 km southbound. Olbia is the main city daily connected to the mainland thanks to its international port and airport (20 minute flight from Rome). World-famous "Emerald Coast," with Porto Cervo and Porto Rotondo lie about 40 km away northbound.
The white and sandy beach of Porto Taverna enjoys the view of Tavolara and Molara islands which are to be discovered for their most lovely beaches and little bays, sometimes not bigger than 400 or 500 yards. You can easily reach them by boat, as a boat rental is available from the beach. If you enjoy lying on the beach you can rent umbrellas and couches and, without going back home, you can have lunch in one of the three beachfront restaurants and have a full day at sea.
The house is finely and tastefully furnished with typical Sardinia linens and characteristic pieces of furniture. On the main floor there are a living room, a kitchen, two double bedrooms, and two bathrooms plus a fully furnished terrace. On the ground floor there 's one more room + a children's bedroom with abathroom. There's a small Mediterranean garden too.
For those who are keen on eating Sardinia specialities, "Agriturismo", ie. country restaurants, are highly recommended. They specialize in local dishes and are family- run business selling products from their own farms. They are usually located in the internal part of the island just a few miles from the villa.Untouched landscapes and sceneries with typical tastes, colors, and flavours can still be enjoyed.
Recommended day excursions: Santa Cristina, one of the most complete archeological sites dating as far back as 3000 BC. It's about 150 km away from Porto Taverna. Sardinia is not just sea, with its white sand and red rocks carved by the mistral. It's much more!
