The Pearl Islands are a collection of 200 islands and atolls situated just 40 miles off the coast of Panama City. Our villa is located on the beautiful island of Contadora. Serviced twice a day by Panama's two domestic airlines, it is an tropical paradise. Incredible diving, snorkelling, fishing, whale watching and island exploration await visitors to this sleepy island haven. The same islands which have been the home to episodes of Survivor from all around, it is a true island experience off the beaten path.
Our villa is newly constructed and contains all the modern amenities. Situated atop a hill above Galeon Beach, it is just minutes from our villa to this incredible beach. Shopping, dining, markets and night life are also minutes from our front door. The people of Contadora are extremely friendly and within days you will feel like a local. The island is quiet and except for major holidays, you will feel like you have the island to yourselves.

This was our second visit to the villa this season, this time with family members. Excellent location, walking distance to the beaches and town and close tomthe pool. The boat tour/snorkeling trip was superb and it was nice to see the outer more pristine islands. Piero was super helpful and made our stay wonderful. We stayed 4 nights in January and 6 nights last week. We took the ferry over so we could bring our our provisions as we enjoy cooking and eating at the villa. It was a great time.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, adventure seekers, sightseeing, families with young children.

The villa was in great shape and fit our family perfectly with three bedrooms and a "den" just off the master bedroom for our youngest grandson. Air conditioners in all rooms were welcome when wanted as was the BBQ. All kitchen and house accessory items were provided including a washer dryer combo. The house was centrally located without far to walk to all we needed. 4 wheel drive buggies or golf carts are readily available to rent if you want one, unless it's a major holiday and they all get rented, but are great for touring the island and beaches with all your gear. We had a great experience all around!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

We returned last week from 3 nights at Villa 21. The place was very nice and we had a wonderful time on the island. We traveled with our family with daughters ages 5 & 7. We all had fun snokeling and playing on the beaches. The weather was nice and we did not see any insects. We had nice meals at Geralds and Piero's house. We will return again for more fun in the sun. We rented a Mule to travel around the island, which was a great and made getting aound to the different beaches and to dinner a real treat for all. The owner was very helpful in providing us details about getting to and from the island as well as suggestions for taxi drivers and hotels in Panama City. What a wonderful trip and a great place to stay for our family!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, families with young children.

This villa was a great choice for my family and I to get away. It was a short ferry ride (90 minutes) from Panama City. There were six adults and one 2 year old on our four day vacation. We each had a blast. The house worked out great. There were no bugs and the weather was wonderful (Thanksgiving weekend), so we kept the windows open the whole time. We played cards out on the deck every night and we used the pool every afternoon when we got back from the beach. We hardly saw any of the neighbors and the community was nice and quiet. The grocery stores do not have a great variation of food and drinks and the restaurants/stores are more expensive than the mainland. I recommend bringing snacks, drinks, and alcohol from Panama City if you can for this reason. We rented a "mule" to get around the island, which I highly recommend because it is fun and the various beaches are great to visit. Our favorite beach was Playa Executiva- definitely bring snorkel gear- you will see lots of fish! Pierro was extremely helpful and his restaurant(/home) Casa Tortuga was amazing!! He has an outdoor kitchen with a wonderful outdoor seating area, so you can watch him cook and the food is just fabulous. I highly recommend Isla Contadora as well as this villa. No complaints from us!!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway, families with young children.

We have just returned from 4 nights in Villa 21 on Contadora Island. We highly recommend this villa. It is comfortable, very well appointed (fans and AC in every room, well-appointed spacious kitchen, indoor & outdoor dining tables, comfortable beds, spotlessly clean, tasteful decor, washer dryer & dishwasher, microwave, oven, DVD and book collection, etc.). We were 4 adults and 2 small children aged 2 and 6. Being just steps from the pool and the beach was excellent. The whole villa complex is really well managed and looked after. The manager, Piero, is very helpful and friendly. Dealing with Chris, the owner, was very easy and straightforward - he was very helpful and accommodating. We spent our days relaxing, swimming in the pool and in the sea with the kids, barbecuing on the deck, eating at Gerald's, exploring the island by golf cart, buying provisions in the little mini supermarkets. Took a boat trip to some of the smaller islands for some spectacular snorkeling. Fantastic holiday. We will be back!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, adventure seekers, age 55+, girls getaway, families with young children.

Nice comfortable beds, open and airy spaces. Windows wide open all day and no bugs. Very comfortable unit and we cooked almost all of our meals at the Villa as apposed to going out to eat, even though local dining prices were very reasonable. Gorgeous surrounding islands, that are mostly uninhabited, kayak a short distance to remote feeling beaches. The first hour of snorkling just feet from our unit brought us up close and personal with a Manta Ray, a sea turtle, countless other fish and great Coral formations. You wouldn't know it is the Pacific, the water is so warm and clear! You also feel incredible safe here in the village with very nice locals. I can't say enough! Enjoy your trip....Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

Just returned from our stay in Panama. One of the many highlights was our stay on Isla Contadora. The villa we rented was clean, spacious, and exactly as advertised. Both the owner and our on island support - Piero were extemely helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. A great time in a great place. Be sure to add dinner at Piero's for wonderful food, conversation and memories. July weather was perfect!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, age 55+, girls getaway, families with young children.

This is a great place to stay on Contadora Island - a charming and well-maintained villa which comfortably accommodated our group of 4 adults and 4 young children. The owner was both extremely helpful and available by email and telephone to answer all our questions. The villa was spotlessly clean upon arrival and the villa manager was also extremely helpful with all our requests. His hand-delivered freshly-baked croissants on Sunday morning were a fabulous treat! The villa complex has its own private beach and a very clean swimming pool (clean not necessarily being the case of other swimming pools we saw at hotels during our stay). Restaurants, beaches, mini-supermarkets and other amenities are all within walking distance. A definite recommend.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, age 55+, pet owners, sightseeing, families with young children.

Thank you for the vacation of a lifetime. Your villa was exactly what I needed. A comfortable 3+ bedroom located near the airport, groceries, restaurants, dive shop, fisherman and (in my opinion) the best beach on the island. It was quiet, clean, and spacious with a great deck and kitchen (even for a party of eight). At high tide it was nice to have the pool so close. It was also great to have the outdoor shower area so close..to wash the sand off before heading indoors. Of all the villas in the complex, this villa had the best location. Isla Contadora is beautiful and has a lot of recreational opportunities. Island tours, scuba, snorkling and the fishing was great! Gerald's restaurant (2 blocks away) was my favorite place to dine. The prices were great and they cooked up our morning catch. I miss the fresh sashimi. If you are looking to book a villa I would highly recommend this one...it will not disapppoint. Bring your walking shoes and relax! It was truely a week in paradise. Thank you again to the owners and management for my wonderful vacation.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, people with disabilities, families with young children.

I recently stayed at this Villa along with 7 friends. The Villa is beautiful, downstairs there is a nice size living area, deck with plenty of seating, nice kitchen and bathroom. The upstairs has a nice master bedroom with den (that has a couch and futon) and bathroom. There is also two other bedrooms with balconies that share another bathroom. The beach in front of the Villas is amazing and there also is a pool just steps from the Villa. We stayed 7 days and it was pure relaxation. The people in Contradora are so helpful and nice. The restaurant Geralds is right down the street and is delicious. We went fishing caught good size fish, took the fish to the restaurant and they prepared it for us that night. You can rent golf carts or bikes to the tour the island. We also went out on a 60ft. Catamaran for the day, which is well worth it. I've been to many other places and I have to say this is one of my favorite places I will definitely be back again. The owners and Piero are easy to get a hold of and worked very well with all 8 of us. If you want on a relaxing trip that feels like your own little island then this is the place for you!!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.
