It is really lovely here…a breathtakingly beautiful spot that is hard to believe is real, except you are looking at it!! All of us had such a relaxing and transforming time as we enjoyed the white, almost flour like beaches, swimming right in front of the house and the pool and spa tub were just wonderful. There is a big bench all along one side of the pool to sit and enjoy island drinks and great lounge chairs all around the deck and beach to read under the palms or chat and enjoy the many views!! We loved the house!! The great room is all glass (we almost felt like we were sitting on the beach)…cute furniture…wrap around decks…and the kitchen is really terrific, not only because it has everything you need and its beautiful…but it is open to the dining and great room and the sea…so if you’re cooking, you’re part of the whole experience. It even has a spout for fresh drinking water!! We loved the bedrooms with their own bathrooms too. They are all very nice, updated, comfy beds, some with flat screen TV’s, and the best thing is, they all have views of the sea and palms. We loved snorkeling right off the house and seeing all kinds of undersea things in the clear water. Its fun to go the store in a golf cart too!! You drive on the left side there, so it felt to us like we were really in a different land. We enjoyed biking as well, especially because it is flat…no hills!! Treasure Cay isn’t glitzy or built up with hotels, etc; just laid back, relaxing island living!! We all had a great time at Castle Rock.

What can I say except... "Wow"!! We really enjoyed our week at Castle Rock. The location of the house is unbelievable - situated with its own oceanfront beach, walk 4 minutes and you're at another beach! We loved snorkeling out in front of the house - the fish and Bahamian lobsters are quite a sight. The house is great - roomy, recently renovated kitchen, great deck and our own personal pool and hot tub to boot. The master bedroom is great with its own soaking tub. And the other rooms are very nice as well. Given that we have two small children, convenience was key. But at the same time, we really enjoyed the privacy and quiet of Castle Rock. Don't forget to stop by and get your freshly baked bread just up the street. And to buy freshly caught fish, where else to go but to the laundromat! Ask the owners how to get in touch with Captain Alan. He'll take you out for a great chartered sail. For that matter, the owners were extremely helpful to us across the board. You'll feel right at home and just like one of the locals in no time at all. Sit back, enjoy a Kalik beer and a few conch fritters and enjoy a relaxing holiday at Castle Rock. We certainly did.

Paradise living for 9 wonderful days

We enjoyed our visit very much. When reviewing the listing, it was hard to believe that a property could be this beautiful. Upon walking in the front door, our breath was taken away by the beauty that laid before us through the glass/ screen doors. All turquoise water with a wonderful breeeze blowing in from the waters. Jerry and Susie did a wonderful job in making their home available to us and made us feel comfortable in their paradise. It was great meeting you and look forward to renting again from you in the future.

A PERFECT VACATION

We spent 1 week from 9/18 to 9/25 at this perfect private hideaway and enjoyed every minute of it. We visited the islands close by, but, spent most of the time right at home at Castle Rock and touring the island by golf cart. We needed nothing that wasn't provided right there. We went there to relax and relax we did. The only problem that we had is that we were only there for a week. We were even there in off season, but, it was still a beautiful, unforgettable vacation for the 4 of us. The home could have housed many more, but, unfortunately, others that were invited were not able to join us. The view, location, beach and pool were all that we needed, because everything else was provided in the home. Thank you Susan and Jerry for having this rental available to us. We WILL return. This was a wonderful unforgettable experience in the Abacos.

A Tropical Paradise

I can't imagine a vacation retreat more beautiful & relaxing. The private beach is stunning & good for swimming & snorkeling. A block away is the Treasure Cay beach - beautiful, white sand, 3 mile long beach with very few people - it felt like a private beach. Without the high rise resorts, this area of the Bahamas provides such privacy & a great place to take the family. The water colors are unbelievable - I have never seen such beautiful tourquise & blue waters with such clarity that you can see to amazing depths. This is my favorite tropical area.

Our stay at Castle Rock on Treasure Cay

We arrived late in the day and took a taxi to the beach house. Everything was clean and ready for our arrival. Spectacular views from the living room and bedrooms, the living room has large windows on 3 sides to view the ocean. Beach is no more than 70 feet from the house and the water was warm and inviting. So relaxing and you could go from the ocean, to the fresh water pool after rinsing the salt off. My wife really loves beach combing, sun rises over the see just off the patio of the house and you can hear the sea in the bedrooms. Ocean beezes keep it comfostable and a ceiling fan was all that was needed. Most of the area is within a short bike trip range which are available at the house. Golf cart rentals are available in town. No need for a car unless you plan to take long trips. Thanks for sharing your home and we would recommend it for anyone.

A Little Piece of Paradise

The setting is just wonderful on the windward side of the island, only 50 feet from the beach. Water is a beautiful blue color and very inviting. The living quarters are perfect for a beach retreat and the kitchen has everything you could need for cooking most any kind of meal. Satelite TV and wireless internet available if you want it. Great place to relax and enjoy the surf and the sun.

My husband and I along with our three grown daughters, son-in-law and 18 month old granddaughter stayed at Castle Rock over Christmas week. We came from Oregon and various places in California. Castle Rock was truly a wonderfully relaxing haven for our family. We have many wonderful memories of beach combing, sunbathing, hot tubing, swimming in the ocean, riding the golf carts, participating in the night life in Treasure Cay. We had it all right at Castle Rock! The Keefes have done a wonderful job of providing a wonderfully comfortable, well-equipped home on your very own beach! Each of the bedrooms look out onto the sea - what a treat to awaken to this beauty!

What a splendid getaway...The weather has been lovely and the house has been wonderfully comfortable. We especially enjoyed the pool after our days on the boat or down on the beach. It distinguishes this home from so many others and is an added treat. Shellcollecting and snorkeling off your beach scored big with our teenagers. This is a peaceful spot that took care of each one of us. Your well stocked kitchen was a great surprise. We love the simplicity of the wood floors and sunbrella cushions and enjoyed eating on the deck...We hope to return...
