This was our second visit! Very nice for our family---six adults and five grandchildren---room to spread out. We really enjoyed the outdoor area---pretty pool, fire pit for s'mores, shaded patio for pedicures! Thank you.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, age 55+.

The pictures do not do the house and property justice. Some friends and I had a lovely long weekend here and the house met all of our needs. Plenty of room, pool and hot tub, fully stocked kitchen. Nice living area with large sectional and massage chair. The second floor master suite has a sleeping porch and sitting area that overlooks the pool. This was the perfect place for our morning coffee and we observed the deer that came right up to the fence. Close enough to town, with lots of privacy. Highly recommended.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers.

This is the second time that my husband's family has joined us at Rancho Escondido. It is a great house, with a nicely remodeled kitchen, lots of living space and a bedroom for everyone. It's secluded location makes for a peaceful hill country experience, yet it's close to Wimberley, Salt Lick BBQ, Texas Old Town (wedding venue) and Driftwood Winery...you can't beat that!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers.

I would not recommend this home to anyone. Dirty dishes had been put in the cabinets. There were cobwebs in the house. There was no toaster, nor telephone, and it took four days to get a toaster. The garage was not usuable and unless it states in the description of the property that the garage is for owner's private use only, it is expected that it can be used to store golf clubs and get in out of the bad weather like we had when we were there. The inside patio had a sink area that was in bad shape and dirty. We never knew if we would have hot water or not. It could have been a nice place to stay if it had been given the proper care and cleaning. A little tender loving care goes a long way.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 5/6
