This is a beautiful pet-friendly home in a quiet area of northwestern Las Vegas. The home was beautifully furnished and well taken care of and was exactly as described in the listing. The high ceilings on the main floor give the home a grand feel. Rosemary was very responsive and obviously cares a great deal about the comfort of her guests. This is an ideal retreat from the hustle and bustle of Las Vegas, yet is easy to access and a short drive from most attractions. We have no hesitation in recommending this home to others.

Everything presented in this home was clean, modern, and good working order. The owner was extremely helpful. Her home was filled with useful resource albums and brochures about the house and area. This listing description was exactly as advertised. The photos accurately reflected the appearance and the property was clean and well maintained. The property owner was delightful to work with before and during our entire two month stay. We enjoyed this pet friendly rental with the master bedroom and bathroom on the main floor. We would recommend this property to anyone looking to visit the strip but wanting to stay a short distance away. This location is great to access the strip, Red Rock, Local Park, Death Valley, MT Charleston, Valley of Fire, local casinos, many golf courses, shopping, etc. We will stay here again on future visits to Las Vegas.

The house was exactly what we needed. It had enough room for our family and friends and was close to restaurants, grocery stores and casinos. The house was in excellant condition and was a great place to have my mother's 100th birthday party.

The descrpition on line was accurate and the photo was exactly as it is physically. The home was perfect for our purpose and located near tothe wedding site. It was a perfect gathering place for our family renunion. The kitchen provided everything we needed to prepare the meals we needed. It was easily accessable to freeways and the casinos that we visited. I would definetly recommend this to friends who plan to visit Las Vegas as a group.

lovely and spacious home. great location. very quiet neighborhood. lots to do, see and eat in summerlin area .action on strip only 15 or so minutes away. really enjoyed our stay, and would definitely stay again.Our cat really enjoyed the beautiful back yard and the roses...would recommend red rock casino and agave mexican restaurant .. both just minutes away.

This is a true model home! We enjoyed our time in Vegas and had a beautiful home as our base of operations. Fully stocked. Great Summerlin location. Keyless entry is great - we are thinking of converting! Great decor. Comfortable, well appointed, clean.

Wonderful space for family meals

Since we were there for a family wedding that took place in Summerlin, we stayed near the wedding site. We ended up having meals with the extended family and the back yard was perfect for eating outside. Also the kitchen was very well equipped for cooking a meal. The house is decorated so lovely, and the rooms are comfortable. We enjoyed our stay at this home.

The house was as well-maintained, attractive, and comfortable as we remembered from our first visit in 2009. It is in a quiet neighborhood and it was easy to feel like a resident for two weeks. We enjoyed having the master bedroom suite on the main level of the house and did not have to use the stairs. The second bathroom on the main level is also very convenient. Our son, daughter-in-law, and grandson were very happy with the two bedrooms and bathroom on the second level. Comfortable mornings were spent on the patio enjoying the garden and the visiting birds. The complete kitchen made meals and clean-up simple. Using our computer and phones was made possible by the wifi connection in the house. Shopping of all kinds is close by as well as many restaurants. The Las Vegas strip is a short drive away with various kinds of entertainment. We visited casinos close by as well as Red Rock Canyon with opportunities to explore. Our family came home with many photos. With the in-house laundry, our suitcases were not packed with lots of dirty clothing for our return trip home. It is not easy to end a vacation and it would be great if we could enjoy this wonderful vacation home again.

A quiet oasis in a busy town; perfect!

We traveled to Las Vegas for a family reunion (20 family members). Seven of us (three couples and one single) stayed at Desert Rose, and the others stayed at various other places; we all met at one of the other VRBO rentals for the group get-togethers. Desert Rose was the best place by far, and our group was SO glad we stayed here! This property is top-notch; Rosemary has thought of everything and the place is lovely in all respects, from the tasteful decor, charming back patio (great for breakfast) and clean, well-furnished bathrooms etc. Everything was well maintained and functional. (The other VRBO where the get-togethers took place was a disaster, frankly... filthy appliances that didn't even work properly, general uncleanliness, weird furnishings and under-supplied with essentials.) The location was good for us, too; it's close to the Strip, and also an easy drive to Red Rocks and other parks on the western edge of the city. Convenient access to shopping (Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, other supermarkets quite close) but it still feels like a quiet oasis off the beaten path. Rosemary was a joy to work with; she was speedy with communications (some of the other VRBO owners we contacted never even got back to me) and very accommodating to our requests. I HIGHLY recommend Desert Rose to anyone who is looking for a lovely, quiet place to stay while in Vegas. (This is not the place for large, noisy parties, so don't book here if that's what you're looking for.) Teresa from Minnesota

Our stay at this home was wonderful! The pictures and descriptions were very accurate. There was plenty of room for our extended family to spread out and everyone had their own space. We especially enjoyed coffee in the mornings on the patio and the hot tub in the evenings. Rosemary was very accomodating. She went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. We will definitely stay here again if we make it back to Vegas!

Great Location in Summerlin

What a great house! We absolutly love the location of this house, it is located close to all the golf courses we went out there to play. It was so nice to stay out of town and yet be close enough to drive to the strip in just a few minutes. Restraunts and shopping are close at hand and the house is spacious and comfortable. We really love the fact that the master bedroom is downstairs and the other two bedrooms are up. There is a very secure yard, even our very small dog could not escape and normally he can find a way out of any yard. We love this house and we can not wait to back.

The home was awesome! It is well appointed, and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and it was nice to have a washer and dryer. There were many games, DVD, videos, and books. The spa was nice :) and the grounds are well kept. The homeowner was very easy to work with. All in all, it was the best vacation rental I've experienced!!!

Rosemary: Thank you for providing my husband and I with a wonderful place for our extended stay from Jan-Apr. It felt so much like our home that we didn't want to leave. Everything was so convenient to your home: Shopping, Churches, Casinos, Restaurants and just a short drive to all the excitement Vegas has to offer on the strip & downtown. My family and I rented this lovely home for the week between Christmas and new years. As soon as we walked in we were impressed. The house is beautiful inside and out and was perfect for the 3 generations that stayed there. This house felt more like a home then a vacation rental. Great Summerlin location

My husband and I stayed here for a full month and found the house very well equipped, loved having the hot tub, a quiet neighborhood, and close to shopping and golf. The only "negative" I would say is that the house had too much "stuff" aka dust collectors for my liking. I actually took piles of things to the garage during our stay in order not to feel overwhelmed. Maybe just my style . . . Less is more, in my mind.

Great Labor Day Weekend Get-away

We were so happy we found Rosemary's place for our most recent visit to Las Vegas. My husband and I and our 22 month old daughter had more than enough room to settle in and make the Desert Rose feel like home. One of the nicest things (for us) about Rosemary's place was that it had everything we needed for our toddler - pack n' play, toddler bed, high chair - so we didn't have to lug a bunch of stuff with us on our flight from San Francisco. Plus everything was very clean and in great condition, which was really nice. The house was very comfortable and well appointed, but also toddler friendly (we only had to move a couple of things to a higher place to keep out of our daughter's reach) and clean. We were visiting family who also live in Summerlin so the location was not only close to our relatives but also not too far from the strip and other attractions. Rosemary was also very quick to respond to any questions we had prior to our stay. We will definitely make the Desert Rose our home again next time we visit Summerlin! Thanks again! Desert Rose was a beautiful home ~ it was everything and more than we expected! Loved the Summerlin area, and just walking around the neighborhood was wonderful, quiet and peaceful. The attention to detail was a treat, especially compared to other vacation rentals we have stayed at. We traveled from Alaska for a friends wedding but had the week prior to explore and enjoy. Loved the scenery and hiking at Red Rock Canyon; the zip line and light show at Fremont Street was awesome! Also went to a show at Imperial Palace, "Motown by Human Nature", absolutely Fantastic entertainment! Rosemary was wonderful to work with, and we were so impressed with the homes appearance and cleanliness, can not wait to go back!

Super clean, comfortable and convenient best describes this wonderful vacation home! Great, safe neighborhood. Proximity to parks and tennis courts were a plus. Ample choices of grocery stores and restaurants within 1-2 miles of house. The listing and photos were more than accurate. The owner is responsive, easy to work with and accommodating to special requests. The secluded backyard made for an enjoyable, relaxing use of the clean hot tub and beautiful patio area. This property is immaculate and has every amenity you could ever want. It's kept impeccably clean and neat! We had a such a wonderful week here in Las Vegas. There are so many restaurants and shops nearby, yet the neighborhood is a tranquil retreat. We enjoyed the walking paths for nature walks every morning. The hot tub in the back yard provided us with a relaxing atmosphere after a long day in the city. Thanks to Rosemary for sharing this property with us. Our vacation was great!

We've stayed at many different vacation homes in Vegas over the years but never in the Summerlin area. We usually look for houses in Henderson or Green Valley. Now we have found this place, I doubt we'll stay in any other! This is truly the perfect place for my family. Upstairs bedrooms are private, master is on the main & the neighborhood is super nice. The house is the newest we've ever rented & in amazing condition. We wanted to bring it home with us! Thank you, Rosemary!

We enjoyed our almost three week stay at the Desert Rose as our college age children each visited on their spring breaks from school. The home was comfortable, clean and easy to access. We enjoyed walks, nearby stores and restaurants, sightseeing, the Vegas Strip, Red Rock Canyon, etc. The spa was nice and we enjoyed our time in the back. Its a nice home to stay in and to be away from the hustle and bustle. Very responsive when we came and there was a problem with the modem for Internet. Got that fixed very quickly.

I wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed staying at your house. Over the course of February, we had several people stop by and they all were very impressed by it’s beauty. The hot tub was great and we did grill out a few times. The location was great as well. We made good use of the near by shopping centers and grocery stores. It was very thoughtful of you to leave suggestions for things to do in Las Vegas. We did some walking at Red Rock Canyon park. And we drove over to the Valley of Fire state park. If you haven’t been there you might enjoy it. Also I appreciate your thoughtfulness and promptness in renting and returning our deposit.

Wonderful Place for Thanksgiving

We searched for a house in Summerlin area to be close to family for Thanksgiving without having to stay in a hotel. My wife and I had our 2 children their spouse and 2 grandchildren at the Desert Rose for Thanksgiving weekend and everything was perfect. Spacious, very clean, large master room and bath --- everything we needed in a quite location. We will definitely try to stay here again, close proximity to stores, golf, and my wife's parents in Sun City. Our only minor complaint, which isn't much, was to upgrade to a Plasma or LCD with the DVR box being in a place where the remote would work. Watching a lot of football for the weekend the remote is blocked by the coffee table and it won't work without getting up to move.

My family (Husband and 2 kids) and I stayed at the Desert Rose from Late October to Early November 2010. We have two small children (1 & 3) and the home was perfect for us. The backyard was plenty of space for the kids to play and my son loved the toddler bed. Tthere was even a portable crib for my daughter. I was able to sleep with no worries at night using the safety gates available for the stairs. The house is in great condition and full stocked. It is in a fantastic community. We spent Halloween in Vegas and were able to take the kids to various events throughout the week in the community. It is close to the grocery store, shopping, great food and plenty of parks. Rosemary was a pleasure to work with. We really enjoyed ourselves. Thank you Rosemary for sharing your home with us. I would highly recommend the Desert Rose.

This was the third property we have rented for vacations in Las Vegas and is the only one I have bookmarked for our next trip. Rosemary had everything ready and phoned us the day after our arrival to check that everything was meeting our expectations. We will recommend the house, its quiet neighborhood and Rosemary to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation. It is a ways from the strip but like all things with a little planning it does not hinder your vacation and it can be accessed with surface roads if the freeway freaks you out. There were 5 adults in our party and there was room for all of us. The kitchen and grill were up to the standards of a restaurant and this was the first rental that we did not have to go out and buy anything because it had everything. Thanks Rosemary.

My wife and I Rent in Las Vegas every year in order to renew our wedding vows. We have rented many other homes and none even come close to Rosemary's wonderful home. The home is perfectly situated Las Vegas. Rosemary has thought of everything to make your stay simple and fun. We will only be staying with rosemary now. We would recommend this home to anyone.

The Desert Rose is amazing. It is super clean, meticulously maintained and totally inviting in every way. Not to mention that it is nicely nestled in a quiet Summerlin neighborhood. Rosemary is incredibly easy to work with. She made sure everything was taken care of like the professional she is. The best part about the stay is that it wasn't treated as a business transaction. We were treated like true family, like the way you'd treat yours if they were coming to stay with you. Thanks Rose, hope to stay at your wonderful retreat again soon! I almost forgot to mention that our Lab loved it too!

The Desert Rose is a wonderful place to spend your vacation, conventions or even a weekend getaway. The house has everything you need to make it feel like home. All the grocery stores, and drug stores and even a gym is close to the house. I have stayed here before and will stay here again. I recommend this place if your planning to come to Las Vegas.

Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, sightseeing.

What a lovely house for our family Christmas dinner. We were able to have all of our childred and grandchildren come and spend Christmas with us and not to worry about finding a place to go out to eat with a group of people and the hassel of the strip and crowds. I loved the down stairs Master,all the beds were very comfortable and plenty of room for the three families who made the trip there. Rosemary made our little Christmas vacation a pleasure.

I stayed here with 3 employees for a 2 week trade show commitment. The home is a wonderful respite from the Las Vegas hustle and bustle. The commute to the Strip varied between 15 and 40 minutes depending on traffic. The kitchen is well appointed with virtually every utensil imaginable. The beds are comfortable with good quality bedding. Two bedrooms up with one full bath, Master suite down + the 3rd full bathroom. The owners are very accessable and helpful. Be sure you get the correct address as the one I was given was for a house across the street.

Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, sightseeing.

Rosemary's house was so relaxing to come home to after spending time on the strip! It was clean and roomy for my husband,me and our 4 kids. Terry was able to cook for 10 people for Thanksgiving dinner while the older kids enjoyed the hot-tub! It was so nice to have a grocery store close by and to eat home-cooked meals for breakfast and lunch! A big plus was having the master bedroom downstairs and the secondary bedrooms upstairs. Rosemary was always very gracious to talk to! Thanks Rosemary!

We are business owners and attend conventions several times yearly. We need to have access to freeways, grocery stores etc. The Desert Rose Home was very spacious and had all the ammenities. We where in a central location close to everything. The house is set up to make you feel at home during your stay :) It is in a very nice gated community that is great for evening walks with the kids or the family pet. Yes, it is also pet friendly! This house has everything you need for a great getaway at a great rate. I recommend it highly to anyone who is planning a trip to Las Vegas.

Desert Rose was a blessing. It was home away from home. We were there for a week long softball tourney in July and was so nice to come home at the end of the day instead of a hotel type atmosphere. Rosemary really has the house set up well. She has thought of everything. It really was a pleasure to work with Rosemary also. If we have a need to come back to Las Vegas we will definitely try to stay with Rosemary and the Desert Rose.

We went to Vegas for a wedding at the JW Marriott and really enjoyed being in a quiet, safe and convenient residential neighborhood for the weekend. The Desert Rose house is very clean, comfortable and roomy, and our three families each had our own space. Rosemary thought of everything to make it very livable——from well-placed towel racks to games and kitchen supplies——and we enjoyed the hot tub nightly. Thanks for the great home-away-from-home!

We stayed at this very attractive and comfortable vacation home for two weeks in March. We felt at home from the first moment. We enjoyed the well-equipped kitchen, lunches on the patio, cable TV's, convenient laundry, three bathrooms, abundant closet space, and comfortable beds. We would definitely stay at this home again.

My parents stayed in the house for a week in November and I joined them for one night. The house was wonderful: in a quiet neighborhood, very well furnished and beautifully decorated. It feels like your own home, not like a vacation rental. It was also very nice to deal directly with Rosemary. She made the whole experience very pleasant and we highly recommend the Desert Rose!

We stayed here for a junior tennis tournament at the Darling Tennis Center that my daughter was playing in, and it was the perfect thing for a family! There are 4 of us, and this home was perfect. We could have shared the home with perhaps one more adult & child, with ease. Rosemary & Gregg have provided all the amenities that one might need: including sun umbrellas for watching tennis matches in the heat! We will most definitely visit here again, thank you so much!! Great location (1 mile from DTC, very close to many practice courts, stores & restaurants close by) and very comfortable. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed this home very much. The interior of the home is very nicely appointed and looked professionally decorated. We enjoyed the yard and jacuzzi and the peacefulness. The only negative was that, during our stay, the landscapers came into the yard at 8am to mow & edge the lawn and used a leaf blower, while we were still in bed. Other than that, we had a very positive experience. We enjoyed hiking in the Red Rock Canyon area and mountain biking at Bootleg Canyon in Boulder City.
