Beech Tree Lodge is our 4100 s.f. home on the sunset side of Big Glen Lake. Built in 2002.
We have 100 feet of private waterfront, with a 140-foot sun dock, sandy lake bottom, and lots of clear BLUE water for sunning, swimming, boating, canoeing/kayaking, or water volleyball. There is plenty of space at the beach for picnics and reading, as well as a large fire pit for evening cookouts and camp fires.
A few steps across Glen Lake Road, our five bedroom, five bathroom home includes a 'bunk room' for the kids. A separate family/card room has great views of Big Glen Lake. A huge screened porch overlooks the beach and lake. The large Great Room has a commanding view of the lake, and the most beautiful sunrise ever! Our cozy den offers privacy, with a desk and wireless internet hookup, and yes, a great view of the lake! Our dining area seats 12+. The professional kitchen has a huge island with a six-burner Viking stove. Stainless steel appliances are by Viking, Bosch, and GE. There is lots of space for group cooking fun!
We are located next to Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park, with miles of hiking and nature trails that overlook the two Glen Lakes as well as Lake Michigan views all the way to Wisconsin! Leelanau County is known for wineries, herb farms, golf, great restaurants, and unique shopping. Catch some perch on Little Glen Lake, or charter fish for trout and salmon on Lake Michigan. And... Leelanau County is a biker's destination!

We had a fantastic family reunion Your home was perfect for our group. We all enjoyed Sleeping Bear, sailing, pontoon boating, and jet skiing. We vacationed on Glen Lake for 8 years in the 70's and the children thought it was the best. Now their children will have memories and will be sure to return in years to come. Outstanding dinner at the Riverside in Leland. Thank you for sharing your great home. We will be back!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/2

A wonderful place to visit and "catch up" with friends. Despite the (wet) weather, the house was filled with light and good humor. The kitchen and living room were very conducive to sharing tasty meals. Thank you for sharing your place.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Thank you so much for sharing your home for our family's wedding week visit. The weather was exceptional. Our grandchildren had their first "s'mores" at the campfire down by the lake. Grandpa rented a boat and they enjoyed exploring the lake. The fishing was great! What a fabulous place for your family to gather. Think of all the memories you are making!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

What a neat opportunity to stay at Beech Tree Lodge, to create memories of good times with family and friends. We are renewing old memories from 36 year ago. So fun to reminisce! We spent four summer vacations here. The awesome scenery has not changed! Thank you so much.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0
