Location: Private Homes, San Diego, San Diego County, California, USA (8 mi to Airport and Zoo, 3 mi to SeaWorld, N. PB-S.La Jolla)

Accommodations:  4-plex apartment, 2 Bedrooms, 2 Baths (Sleeps 6)

Take an early morning stroll on the beach, just 3 blocks away, before heading out for a day of San Diego sightseeing. Most tourist destinations such as Sea World, the Zoo and Balboa Park, The GasLamp District, The Embarcadero with it's Maritime museums, SeaPort Village, Point Loma, La Jolla and Old Town are all within 3-8 miles. In the evening, return to catch the sunset and maybe a glimpse of the green flash while enjoying the cool Pacific off-shore breezes at Law Street Park or, a little closer to home, right on the front patio.

This is a private home was which was just totally remodeled and tastefully and comfortably furnished with all new furniture, beds, appliances, linens, dishes, etc.

You will enjoy cooking in the fully-equipped kitchen with granite counter tops, beautiful maple cabinets, and all new appliances. The master bedroom has a king bed, a TV, and a closet with mirrored doors to keep things tidy. There are three queen beds and someone can sleep on the comfortable leather sofa, too.

Cable/wireless Internet and digital phone line insures that you can keep in touch with work and family and Cable TV and DVD will keep you entertained in the evening. No fighting for parking at the beach because you can park any size vehicle in the driveway.

You will be just three blocks from Law Street Palisades Park which several San Diego websites list as the "Best Beach Overlook." This two-block long patch of lush green grass, with several shaded benches, overlooks the sandy beach from the top of a 25 foot cliff. It is a favorite spot for observing the wide white-sand beach below and the endless numbers of surfers and sail-boarders displaying their skills at wave-ridding, just off-shore. The park is also a favorite for picnickers and sunset watchers and has restrooms and outdoor showers and is the beginning of the Pacific and Mission Beach boardwalk.

A wide ramp make for easy access down to the beach. North Pacific Beach around Law Street has a much more mellow, less crowded atmosphere than Pacific Beach and Mission Beach south of Crystal Pier/Garnet Street, yet Pacific Beach's myriad of ethnic and seafood restaurants, shops and clubs are only 6 blocks away.

  • V enjoyable stay & Nancy's vacation rentals staff were really helpful, responsive and easy to deal with. House is efficient and pleasant to be in, with good breeze & ceiling fans keeping it cool even in a heatwave, comfortable beds & well appointed kitchen. Beachcruisers & body boards were a great extra. As others report, excellent neighborhood, great for access to beach, shops and restaurants but still quiet. Four things which would make it even better: overhead lighting in living room isn't very pleasant - could do with some lamps; superficial cleaning was fine but there was lots of dust under beds & in corners; the screens aren't well maintained so there were quite a lot of flying bugs; it would be useful to have some local maps and other local info in the house for out of towners. Would nevertheless recommend as a great place to stay.

  • Oh my goodness we just got back the day before yesterday, and after staying there for 5 days, we want to BUY the house LOL! It was wonderful, and yes, it DID have headache tablets which I needed to take (Thanks to 3 EXCITED to be in San Diego children). The house was spotless, and I'm very very picky! It is literally a block from the beach. We cooked every morning and night. Superb! The kitchen had EVERYTHING and more that you would need. The internet connection actually worked! The shops (Henry's Trader Joes, some sushi place etc) are VERY close. The street is quiet, and the neighbors are courteous. In the mornings I loved seeing the parents walk buy with their beautiful children to take them to swimming lessons two doors down. The house is always cool, and has central Heating (if needed). We are so in love with this rental and I know you will be too! Thank you!!!!

  • We stayed at 1030 Law Street, and it was just perfect. The house was spotlessly clean, it was comfortable, it had everything we needed, right down to the headache tablets in the medicine cabinet! We were just 3 blocks from the beach in a quiet neighborhood. We really did not want to leave, and plan to return in the near future. Thanks for everything.
