My fella and I went to the Hideaway as part of his surprise birthday getaway and it was perfect! The neighbor dog, Polly, greeted us every morning and the cabin itself is comfortable and peaceful and contains everything you might need to cook a delicious meal. We only wish we had spent more time there. We'll have to return some day in order to do a little more exploring and hiking in and around the lovely creeks! -K & C

The chalet was everything that was described and more. The rooms are very spacious. Loved the new rainshower!! The creeks along the chalet are very beautiful and calming. Loved the tall rocks with the water running through them. We were entertained by the turkeys every night when they flew up in the trees to roost for the night. We also heard an owl every night but never saw him. Thanks for the comfort and peacefulness!! Oh, and our dogs loved Polly!!

My husband and I spent two nights in this wonderfully appointed cabin. The setting is simply beautiful with cozy woods, a creek and rocky outcroppings to explore. We were able to escape from the computer and cell phones and simply relax to the sound of the creek while lounging in the hottub. We can't wait to come back again, and have already recommended it to friends.

Absolutely beautiful. We spent 2 days here and wish now that we would have reserved for longer. An absolute must to stay at. Description is exact and so much more. Clean, very comfortable. Enjoyed every minute we stayed. We are going to tell all our friends about this place. Thank You!
Owner response:Thanks so much for your comments. We look forward to your return visit. We will be sure to leave you a bottle of our homemade wine on your next trip. That is one of our hobbies and we make very good wine! Please remind me when you book! Thanks again, Brenda

We recently spent 5 nights at the Hopewell Hideaway. We shared the chalet with my brother and sister-in-law. The chalet was very homey. The beds were extremely comfortable (which is very important, in my opinion). It was certainly a good value. This is no reflection on the owner: we found that cell phone reception for Verizon was non-existent. But sometimes it's good to be disconnected. :) It's something that would be good to be prepared for.
Owner response: Thanks for your comments, I love sleeping in the King bed as well. It's hard to know what cell phones do or do not work in this remote part of the County. I have AT@T and it works great anywhere in the Hideaway. We also have 3 phones that our guests are welcome to use, just in cast their phone does not have service in the area. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay and wish that you would have contacted me so that I could give you the private number to the Hideaway. We do hope that you will return in to our home reqardless of you cell phone carrier. Thanks for your comments, I hope this will make you and others know that we have a solution to any cell phone problem. Thanks again, Brenda and David
