What’s inside? A fully equipped 2-bedroom condo, perfect for a small family or two couples. Outside? All the best Morro Bay has to offer is within easy walking distance.
This comfortable condo is located on the corner of Anchor Street and Morro Avenue, just below Main Street. The quiet residential neighborhood is the perfect base for exploring Morro Bay and other Central Coast attractions.
Step outside, cross the street, go down the stairs at Anchor Street or Olive Street, and you’re at the bay. At Tidelands Park you can picnic, let the kids play, or just relax and enjoy the view. Heading north on the Embarcadero, you can find a hearty breakfast, a variety of snacks, a casual lunch or dinner, or elegant dining, all along the water. While there, rent a kayak, tour the bay in the glass-bottomed boat or on a cruise boat, book a deep-sea fishing trip, or pick up some unique gifts or souveniers. Two fish markets offer a wide vairety of fish from the local fisherman.
Downtown Morro Bay is just a few blocks north on Main Street. Shop for art and antiques, grab a bite to eat, catch a current movie, or see what’s fresh at the Saturday afternoon farmers’ market.
Morro Bay State Park, about a mile from the condo, has activities for everyone: an 18-hole golf course, easy walking trails, the newly renovated Natural History Museum, a casual restaurant, and another kayak rental office. If you’re visiting in the spring, be sure to check out the heron rookery next to the Inn at Morro Bay, where herons and other birds nest and raise their young.
Most other Central Coast attractions are within an hour’s drive or less of Morro Bay, including hiking at Montaña de Oro, tidepools at Cayucos Beach, Hearst Castle, and the wineries centered around Paso Robles to the north and the Santa Inez Valley (featured in the movie Sideways) to the south. San Luis Obispo, about 13 miles away, is home to the airport, Cal Poly State University, a vibrant downtown, and several movie theaters.
After a full day of fun on the Central Coast, you’ll be ready to relax. Light up the wood-burning fireplace, fix your favorite beverage, and enjoy your favorite shows on the flat-screen TV, or just have a quiet evening of reading, music, cards, or board games.
There’s a spacious 2-car carport beneath the condo, which has a large, lockable storage area for your golf clubs, bikes, or other toys. |
