Situated at the corner of Rue de Lille and Rue de Beaune in the elegant 7th arrondissement of Paris, our apartment is on the second floor of a circa-1790s building.

The Musée d'Orsay is two blocks west down Rue de Lille. The Louvre is right across the river. You can take the Pont du Carrousel, a 175-year-old pedestrian bridge to get there from the apartment. This is a fantastic location from which to enjoy Paris.
Surrounded by antique dealers and fine art galleries in the quiet, elegant Carré des Antiquaires, the apartment is just a few blocks away from the lively Rue de Buci and St. Germain neighborhoods, with their famous brasseries, cafés, open markets and people watching. The Latin Quarter, Notre Dame Cathedral as well as the Invalides and the Eiffel Tower are within comfortable walking distance.

ACCOMMODATIONS:
Enter the stone-paved lobby through double doors with security code. A large skylight and windows illuminate the entry hall, giving onto a wide circular staircase--the apartment is two flights up.

Our newly-renovated, 1 bedroom, 1 1/2 bath apartment (485 sq. feet) offers a typically Parisian contrast of ultra-modern furnishings in an authentic old-world setting featuring massive wood ceiling beams, parquet floors, and traditional French windows.

Leather upholstered seating with tables and shelving of steel, glass and wood, graced by an eclectic melange of 20th century prints and original paintings, create a refined, sophisticated feeling. The modern mood is softened by warm colors, softly draped windows, the apartment's original architectural details and excellent lighting.

There are double-paned windows in the living room, dining area, kitchen and bedroom. Thanks to windows on both sides of the apartment, two giving on to the rue de Beaune below, and two onto a bright courtyard, there is natural light from dawn to dusk, and cross currents of fresh air during the warm summer months.

The open kitchen features new appliances: a gas and electric cook top, electric oven and dishwasher, plus a refrigerator/freezer, microwave, and combination washer/dryer.

There is high-speed internet access, and free direct dial phone calls to North America. There is cable TV with 24-hour English language news (BBC). There are both DVD and CD players, with a selection of CDs.
The glass and metal dining table seats four, under a whimsical chandelier sculpture. The kitchen and pantry are very well-equipped, including All-Clad cookware.

There is a powder room in the entry hall. The bedroom's fully-tiled bathroom with window looking out onto the courtyard has a large tub with shower, sink and vanity with large mirror and plenty of space for your personal items, plus a heated towel rack.

Brand new beds (with the French equivalent of Tempurpedic mattresses) are specially made to convert from two singles to a king, according to your preference. There are two spacious, custom made closets. At the bedside is an additional telephone. Curtains fully darken the room for dozing at any hour of the day.

Hairdryer and curling iron are provided, as well as plug adaptors for your personal appliances. An "on-demand" water heater assures unlimited supply of hot water. Radiators are separately controlled in each room. For summer comfort we've provided silent electric fans.

It will be obvious that this is our home away from home. No detail has been overlooked: the apartment is lovingly furnished and well-equipped to provide everything we need to be comfortable during our extended stays. We hope you'll enjoy our attention to detail and feel that you are "chez vous" during your visit.
