Our lakefront home is located directly on beautiful Lake Nantahala in a private secluded gated community. Lake Nantahala has 3,800 surface acres and over 42 miles of shoreline, of which 97% is National Forest. Our home comes equipped with two kayaks, canoe, paddle boat, and ski/fishing boat equipped with a tube, set of skis, ski/tow rope, trolling motor, and life vests. Boat should be available March 22nd through September 15th under normal lake conditions. Off season rates do NOT include boat.
There is only one small marina on Lake Nantahala. They rent a few pontoon boats and one deck boat. The cost to rent a boat for 8 hours averages over $200.00 plus gas. By including a boat in our rental price you will save over $1,400.00 per week and have a boat to use 24 hours a day during your stay. Many of our past guests tell us how nice it is to not worry about getting a boat back in time or how they went fishing early and caught a big small mouth just as the sun was coming up. Make sure you know what you are getting for your money.
Most homes on Lake Nantahala have a steep set of several dozen steps down to the lake. Our home has a very gradual path of about 50 ft from the house to the dock. Half way down the short path to the lake is our Lakeside deck and Fire Pit. When renting a Lake Front home on Lake Nantahala make sure to ask the number of steps to the lake. Also, make sure you have a private dock and not a community dock shared with many other families. There are many homes that claim to be lakefront but are really lake view with a community dock for lake access.

Main Level: Kitchen, living area, dining area, master bedroom w/ king bed, 1.5 bath with a walk in shower, washer/dryer, covered deck including rockers and table
Upper Level: 2 bedrooms both with queen beds, a twin and futon that converts to a full mattress in open loft area overlooking living room, 1 bath with walk in shower.
Lower Level: Kitchenette, living area, pool table, bedroom with 2 twin beds and bunk bed with double mattresses on top and bottom, 1 bath with whirlpool tub, covered deck w/gas BBQ Grill.
Payment: $1000.00 deposit is required to secure reservation, then becomes a damage deposit after check in. Damage deposit is not applied to rent. Damage deposit is fully refundable given there is no damage or missing items after checkout. Full payment is due 60 days prior to arrival. We accept Visa, MasterCard, & Discover credit cards, money orders, cashiers checks, and personal checks.
Cancellation Policy: 60 day cancellation policy. If cancellation is made outside of 60 days prior to arrival date, deposit will be refunded less a one night cancellation fee. Should cancellation occur inside 60 days prior to arrival, the deposit becomes nonrefundable.
Rental Capacity: Please note the maximum number of people this unit sleeps is 14 - 15, this number includes children.
Must be at least 25 years of age to rent house.
