We returned last week from a wonderful 4 day stay at this property. The owner was extremely easy to work with! This was our first trip to Kiawah and we would not have changed one thing. This house felt like home. It's very cozy and provided plenty of space for our family of six. We made great memories there. We enjoyed being on the golf course. One evening, we spent 30 minutes watching two deer feed in the neighboring yard. The beach was an easy bike ride away. Our children enjoyed biking to and from the beach. Thanks to the owner for providing bikes and the baby carrier! We rode bikes every day. The trails were wonderful. We will definitely return to Kiawah and this property would be our top choice.

We spent a long weekend at this wonderful home. Communication with the owner was outstanding prior to our trip. We have stayed on Kiawah several times, but this is our favorite location. Some homes can take 15-20+ minutes to get to restaurants or grocery, however, this is the perfect location- minutes from Freshfields for food, shopping, groceries...and a short bike ride to Night Heron or the Sanctuary. We enjoyed the easy bike ride to the beach, and the four adult bikes and child carrier (trailer-style) saved us money and time not having to deal with rentals. The kitchen is well appointed with nice cookware, dishes and serving pieces. The furniture and decor is lovely. The upstairs bathroom set-up was perfect for four people sharing. Our children loved the large selection of Disney movies!! Thank you for a wonderful, memorable vacation in your great beach house. Fall is a perfect time for Kiawah.

Wonderful secluded home with all the extra's!!!! You will need nothing when you stay here, this home has it all. Great home, close to beach and very well decorated. Island was how I remembered it 25 years ago and we can't wait to come back next year for two weeks. Freshfield's Village was awesome and close. Lunch at the Ocean Course in a must!!! Thanks to the Howell's and we WILL see you next year for two weeks!!!!

I had been to Kiawah Island many years ago as a child and decided to start a new tradition and rediscover the island with my family. The house was very pretty and well decorated. We loved having the large deck overlooking the golf course for my 2 year old son to blow bubbles and watch the golf carts drive by. We LOVED having the 4 bikes and child trailer to take to the beach and ride aound the island. We loved having Freshfield Village close to the house. The grocery store (Newton Farms) was terrific and there was always something going on, such as a Farmers market and movie night for the family. We will be back to Kiawah Island in the future, such a relaxing and peaceful place to be by the beach!

My family just returned this afternoon from our wonderful week long stay at Kiawah. The minute we stepped in the house we left like we were at home, just with a much better view! Everything was spotless and you can tell it has been taken great care of. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook great, fresh seafood meals in almost every night. The 4 bikes and "cargo" trailer were a fabulous treat and it was an easy 5 or so minute ride to the beach. Also, the outdoor shower was wonderful! The sunset tower was under construction while we were there but there were 2 other decks on the marsh where we could watch the sunset in the evenings. We loved the house so much we already booked for week next summer! Thanks Howell family for sharing your perfect vacation home with our family!!

Very nice house and I was particularly impressed with the modern kitchen and all the internet and audio/visual amenities. The bikes which were included were used often and added to the overall great value of the rental. We look forward to a return visit next year.

We spent a week in April in this house with our 4 children. Located in a very quiet place, away from the road, we really enjoyed the relaxing ambiance. The house is very well equipped, including DVD player, Ipod dock, wifi, an outside shower, a gas BBQ, fully equipped kitchen and so on. The (4) bikes were provided (+ a baby trailer). I broke a bike chain, the owner quickly called the bike shop and organized a repair in a day. The beach is at 10 mins by bike, Freshfield village with a very nice gourmet supermarket and several good restaurant are at 10 mins by car. I would really recommend this spacious house where you feel home with your family. I hope we can come back next year.

We have been to Kiawah 5 times and usually stay on the East side. With the new bike path to Freshfields we wanted to stay on the West side. This house was perfect. Great location--close to the beach, to Night Heron Park, to Freshfields, all an easy bike ride--which the owner supplied for you! We ate out most nights but the kitchen was well supplied if you wanted to stay in and cook. The owner went over and above to ensure an enjoyable stay. Highly recommend!

Second year in a row we have stayed here and once again wonderful! Best house we have EVER stayed at on the island! We love how this house makes us feel like home. It's spacious enough for our big family, equipped with everything needed to cook meals every night, WONDERFUL beds, and the location of this house is perfect. We enjoyed every moment on Kiawah Island, we couldn't have asked for a more quiet or relaxing vacation. The house was pleasantly decorated and offered all it communicated on the Internet. Kiawah is a tranquil island and the house offered excellent accommodations. Absolutely LOVED, LOVED, LOVED the pristine beach and the proximity of the house to the beach! Having the washer/dryer was an added convenience to our stay. Would definitely recommend this house to friends/relatives and would love to return in the near future. We had a wonderful Memorial Day trip to this beautiful home. It had everything we needed for a perfect visit. The beds were so comfortable, the location was great and the house was beautifully appointed. We own a home on Kiawah which was under renovation, yet my youngest daughter can't stop talking about the great house we stayed in at Memorial Day! I definitely recommend this home.

This was our best Kiawah trip ever!! This house is absolutely beatiful, super clean, spacious, very comfortable, and conveniently located near the popular West Beach of Kiawah Island. Kiawah's natural beauty and wildlife never cease to amaze! On the island we saw lots of deer, birds, and other great wildlife. The dolphin encounter is also highly recommended. We can't wait to return!!

We have managed to get back to Pittsburgh before this last snow event. There is now almost 3 ft. of snow. We long for the moderate winter weather at Kiawah. We had a wonderful 4 days. Your house is really beautiful and comfortable. We enjoyed that it was a home that is lived in and enjoyed by your family. We have stayed in homes that are merely investments. They are nice but they do lack the comfortable feel of homes that are lived in and loved. Your home had everything that we needed for a relaxing break from winter. We enjoyed coffee on the deck, movies on the sofa, lunches in Charleston, great dinners cooked in your well equipped kitchen and pleasant nights in comfortable beds. Thank you Howell Family

We have been coming to Kiawah for 20+ years and we have stayed all over the island. This is by far, one of the cleanest, most convenient, and comfortable homes we have stayed in. Last summer we took 2 friends for our 2 boys, and there was plenty of room for all. The bikes really came in handy, and riding to the beach was easy and quick! I loved being close to the market, too. Loved the screen porch for a.m. coffee, and the grill for dinners, and the really nice well equipped kitchen. Great place! Thanks!

Best house we have EVER stayed at in Kiawah! We have been going for probably 20 years and this tops them all. Not only is it a gorgeous house it was located perfectly on the island. Also owner went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful! GREAT GREAT GREAT!

Our family of six thoroughly enjoyed the house. It was well-equipped and just a five minute bike ride from the beach. The three bikes and trailer were a big plus. The beds were COMFORTABLE. Tips: closest good crabbing at the bridge across the Kiawah River; lots of sand dollars but not much shelling at the beach. Beach is great for small children - very gradual and gentle wave action.

Our family experienced a wonderful time while vacationing on Kiawah Island. Our accommodations were excellent and everything was as promised. The location was perfect as we were able to take short bike rides to the beach, playground and Nature Center. The bikes and child carrier (provided with the house rental) were a convenient and great way to explore the island. Also we enjoyed eating many meals on the screened in porch. It was so peaceful to get up and listen to the birds while eating breakfast. We hope to return to Kiawah Island next year.

I have been coming to Kiawah for 10 years. Your home was spacious, clean and comfortable. Good planning to have the extra sinks outside of the upstairs bath. Saw deer and raccoon out the kitchen window! We enjoyed the deck and the screened in porch!

We just got back from a week at your lovely house, and the four of us agree we have never had a finer vacation. Peaceful, quiet, well-appointed, with a variety of spaces and amenities. And very convenient to the beach - the use of the three bicycles was greatly appreciated. The beach was so convenient, we all took multiple daily trips. Also enjoyed the gas grille. Our family greatly enjoyed our stay at this lovely and comfortable home. It has a good amount of privacy but is still convenient to the beach and golf courses, etc. The back deck has a nice view of the golf course, and a favorite evening activity was following the path to the viewing tower to see the marsh at sunset. We hope to return soon!

We have spent the spring break in this house. So far our best rental experience in the US! The house interior is wonderfully decorated and ideal for a family of 6. The surroundings are beautiful and the beach easily accessible with the bikes. We hope to be back soon...

We greatly enjoyed out stay in your home. We were a party of six and had lots of space so that we could all be together for activities and meals. We also had the option and enough room to retreat for some quiet time, if we chose to do so. It was also fun to watch the golfers coming down the fairway heading to the green.
