This was one of our favorite vacations! We all had a great time, the house is beautiful and very clean, it had everything we needed, AND we got to see the horses! We were able to bring our dog which was very important to us. If I could suggest one thing it would be to find a way to make time stop while one was there - we never wanted to leave!! Thank you for a wonderful week.

Amazing family vacation

We just returned from our family vacation where we stayed in your beautiful home. This was our first time to do an all family vacation. There were 17 of us in all ranging in ages from 2 to 87. Your home was set up perfectly for a large group. We each had our own bedroom and we were thrilled by the # of bathrooms. This made getting up and getting ready so much easier when there wasn't a line waiting to use the restroom. We loved riding the bikes to the beach or across the way to the lighthouse. The back patios/decks were wonderful for sitting and talking or playing games of an evening. We had many a volleyball tournament and unfortunately the boys trumped the girls way too many times. You had every convenience imagianable and ones that we had not even thought about needing. This place is in the prime area, on the quieter side of the island but a short drive to any establishment you may want to visit. We went parasailing in Manteo and did Ricks Wild Horse Adventure Tour. Both activities were wonderful and were enjoyed by all. Even my nephew who prior to the horse tour stated he hates horses loved every minute of the tour. The beach down from the house was beautiful and we asked for permission for the local authorities and were told we could have a bon fire on the beach. All that was needed was a fire pit and a permit and we were good to go. The kids and adults alike loves sitting on the beach with the fire, roasting hot dogs and s'mores and listening to the beautiful sounds of the ocean. If you have a 4 wheel drive vehicle I highly recommend driving on the beach. This was an amazing experience and we went down there a couple of times. I have to say that the people in Outer Banks are the friendliest i have ever come across. Extremely helpful and so kind! We are already talking about our next trip and hope to be able to once again come to the OBX and stay in your lovely home. You were a joy to work with and went above and beyond to make sure that our stay was comfortable and our vacation was the best ever. Thank you so much for opening your home to us, we made the most amazing memories.

I can not thank you enough for sharing your beautiful home during an important time of our life. Our daughter wanted to be married on the beach and after looking for a couple of months, we stumbled onto the Black Beard Treasure house. And what a perfect house it was, with all the amenities of home and more to the spectacular view of the lighthouse upstairs. We had family flying in from all over the United States and they all fell in love with your house. They couldn’t believe that it had it all, there was something to do for everyone. Thank you for ensuring that the fireplace was up and running in case the weather was bad on the beach and we had a back up plan to my daughter’s wedding. The weather was perfect and she was married on the beach but you ensured that the propane was hooked up in case of rain and cold weather. We so look forward to returning to your home for a family reunion in the future. We just hope that future renters never take advantage of your home like the previous family did, but thank you for fixing the problems so quickly. Again thank you so much for all you did, our daughter and family had a wonderful time and the perfect wedding!

I am the family "Travel Agent". Every year we plan where to go and the rest is left up to me and every year I worry that I found the right house, does everyone have a nice bedroom, are the children going to be free and safe in the home, is it clean? etc.etc.etc. If you are the "Travel Agent" in your family you can stay at "Blackbeards Treasure" and be worry free. This house and the owner "Sherri" were absolutely perfect. Everyone, even the sisters loved the beautiful, clean, spacious home. We had a wonderful Corolla vacation. Thank You Sherri very much. The house was everything you said it was only you chould have bragged a lot more!!!! Loved Loved Loved it.

This beach home was fantastic and more than we had expected with excellent location and beach. We had spectacular views of the lighthouse and the beach was unspoiled and soooo beautiful! It was close to everything; Heritage Park where there were evening concerts, kite flying, kayak launch, Wildlife Museum, and The Whale Head Club- what a blast! Tons of bike trails along the water for outings and souvenir shopping in Corolla Village. The layout of the house was awesome with the pool, spa, and grill off the rec. room. There was the ‘much needed’ spread out room for adult relaxing and play rooms for the kids. It was roomy, comfortable, and clean with plenty of nice touches. Very nicely decorated with Caribbean colors and furnishings. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed for BIG dinners and we especially liked the bread maker for fresh hot breads. The loft had a card table for poker and puzzles. The guys loved the sports bar of course, the kids were glued to the air hockey and game station, and the couples fell into the hot tub in the evening under the stars! Everybody had something to do, pool table, basketball, corn toss, group volleyball and kayak- all at no extra cost including the premium movie channels! Sherrie was wonderful, even calling to check in on us and welcome us ‘aboard’. Big beautiful beach: the kids played in the shallow areas, the guys showed off with the boogie boards, and we girls just hung out under the umbrellas and cabana with a cool drink watching the blue green waves come rolling in- so relaxing.... One of the highlights of our trip, which was suggested by the Owner, was the Wild Horse Tour-absolutely Amazing! GREAT house and best vacation ever! Thanks for the fantastic time. We will definitely recommend this beach home to our friends and family. Incredible value- We’ll be back next year!!!

This rental property fit our party of 18 perfectly. Everything and anything we needed was there. The listing description was accurate and the property was clean. The owner was wonderful to deal with and was readily available for my many questions. The location was better than we hoped for. We were right across the street from the Currituck Hertiage Park, which has so many fun activites and sites to see. My favorite time was sitting on the top deck in the morning with my coffee admiring the view of the Currituck Light House. We did tour the light house, which we highly recommend. The view from up there is amazing! Do it earlier in the morning before the crowds come! We even took advantage of the bikes that were provided and rode through the park in the mornings before it got too hot. We also walked across the street to the Corolla Outback for our wild horse tour, which was amazing as well and rightly recommended by the homeowner. Normally a five minute walk to a gorgeous beach is nothing, however in Outer Banks summer climate with all of our beach gear it seemed to take forever! On the positive side, we were able to burn off some of the calories of that vacation eating and drinking that we like to do! Overall wonderful experience, beautiful place and would definitely recommend it to a friend or relative.

Perfect Getaway

Our stay was wonderful!! The accomodations were more than we could have asked for. The beach house was very spacious and gave the kids plenty of room to play and provided enough distance for the adults to relax. It was clean, and the management was superb. The access to the beach was convenient and the view was absolutely beautiful!! My family had not taken a vacation together in years, and it was the perfect get-away for everyone. I definitely plan on a return visit, and would recommend this beach house to my friends. Two thumbs up!! Thanks for a great vacation!

A Corolla Wedding

We rented Blackbeard's Treasure Easter week 2011 for my daughter's wedding. The house could not have been better for this (my first born's) event. The house is beautiful, comfortable, very well appointed. Things like two refrigerators, two dishwashers, two coffee makers made having a crowd stay there very easy. We filled the bedrooms and everyone had enough space and privacy. The close proximity to the lighthouse, where the ceremony was held was perfect. Guests left their cars at the parking lots near the lighthouse and walked over to the house. Large lot, room for a big tent, room for all the guests to eat, play pool, play bean bag toss, walk to the beach, or just sit on one of the balconies and enjoy the beams coming from the lighthouse. Extremely picturesque, from the backyard views (can't see anyone from the back of the house, got some nice woods) to the little village nearby. Family and friends had so much to do right there in Corolla; beach, sightsee the ponies, climb the lighthouse, visit the nature center, walk on several nature trails. Kitty Hawk Memorial is a short drive and lots of outstanding restaurants. Sherrie was very attentive, calling me back very quickly if I had a question. The house was absolutely spotless, the cleaning crew was great. We had such a great, relaxing, less stressful time mostly because the house we chose had everything to make the wedding beautiful. I particularly liked sitting out at night, watching the lighthouse. There was not one thing I would change about our big adventure, watching my baby walk down the grass aisle, and gaining a new son. Well, except for the fact that we had to go home. :-)

Our family had a great time at this beach house. Everyone was very impressed with the house itself, the location, and things to do nearby. It made a great home base for all of us. The kitchen and dining area were wonderful for family dinners. The kitchen had just about everything you need to prepare meals. The owner was very helpful in answering questions and taking care of concerns. It is a beautiful house with plenty of room for all 15 of us, offering privacy when needed, and common areas large enough to accommodate everyone. Thank you for enabling a wonderful vacation!

Wonderful Vacation

Our families had such a wonderful time at the beach! The house accommodated everyones wishes in some fashion, the beach was lovely. The kitchen was large with plenty of operating space and lots of storage. The 2 refrigerators were a blessing! There was so much to do. We had 4 familes, plus lots of teenagers, toddler, and a baby. Still the room was enough for everyone! We did have some minor issues but Sherry had it taken care of before the following day! Service was great! We all agree that we would recommend your home for any vacation and would do it again ourselves. Thank You so much.

I commend Sherrie, the owner of Blackbeards Treasure. Her home was everything that she said it was and much more. The home was immaculate and well-maintained. We found out right away that we overpacked because she had already thought of everything! If we needed it, it was there from kitchen needs to beach and pool needs. She kept us up to date from the time of booking to check out. In fact she called the morning we checked out to thank us for choosing her home. Sherrie, you are one gracious lady! Our son had the most beautiful wedding imaginable while we were staying at the Carribean Corolla. We feel totally blessed to have had the weather (even though tropical storm Christobel tried to intefere) cooperate as well as being able to share this event with our family and friends. The house fit us perfectly. Thanks again for sharing the house with us.

We found Caribbean Corolla all it is described as and more. The decor was fun and bright, the kitchen well equipped and ample space for our whole family. We especially liked that it was a simple walk to the beach, old town Corolla, Heritage Park and Corolla Lighthouse plaza.
