Spruce Lane Cottage is well situated to provide accommodations for the 2009 Canada Games, which are being held on PEI in August.
This is a beautiful, fully equipped cottage with all the conveniences for a wonderful relaxing vacation: We have 4 spacious bedrooms, sleeping for eight and 1.5 baths - The Master bedroom has a queen bed and en-suite powder room. There is a 2nd bedroom with a queen bed and 2 more bedrooms have two twin size beds in each.
This spacious cottage has an open plan design and is tastefully decorated. A large kitchen with breakfast bar/island overlooks the Living/Dining room area - There is a spcious (21'x 10') screened porch for relaxing or outdoor entertaining. We also have a large covered deck facing our secluded, well treed lot. There is a front porch for relaxing in the sun. There is a large (4 burner) BBQ for outdoor grilling - It also has a sideburner for cooking lobster and mussels.
Beautiful Lakeside Beach is within 750 metres and The Links at Crowbush Cove is within walking distance. Lots of other great activities are available close by, such as horseback riding, the Conferderation Trail and Kayaking in nearby Morell. Charlottetown is 25 minutes for sightseeing, dining and and shopping. The Charlottetown airport is even closer.
In our opinion, Lakeside has the nicest and most secluded beach on the island - and of course The Links at Crowbush Cove is simply world class and a focal point of the area. Many other popular Island courses are available within and easy drive of Lakeside.
The cottage is very well equipped - all our appliances were brand new for 2007 and 2008. Year Purchased: 2007
We live in the Toronto area. We have three kids and we all love the cottage lifestyle. Our kids have grown up going to the Culley family cottage on the moon River in Bala, Muskoka - and most of their childhood coming to PEI for a week each summer.
Why the Owner Chose Lakeside
We started coming to PEI in the Summer of 2000 with friends who started viiting several years earlier and urged us to join them. We loved Lakeside so much, we started talking about buying a property our very first summer there. In the Summer of 2003, we purchased our lot and started by the building process by having the lot cleared the following year. We spent a lot of time carefully picking out a "perfect" cottage plan for us and finally settled on this one after giving serious consideration to dozens of other layout from 1,000's of building plans avaiable on the internet. The cottage was framed up and weather proof in 2007 and we finally completed it in 2008. Lakeside is an incredible vacation spot and we love our little cottage community and especially our wonderful neighbours.
The Unique Benefits of this Vacation Cottage
Our property is quite secluded and very well treed. We have neighbours only on one side. But all of our friends are close by. This area is so quiet and friendly and the beach is too incredible for words. You can't help but fall in love with Lakeside. The Links at Crowbush Cove is considered by many to be the best and certainly the most famous on the Island and is widely considered one of Canada's few "destination" courses - it is the crown jewel of PEIs fabulous collection of golf courses
