We are located on a hill overlooking the sea, little green valleys and the Peloponnesus in the distance. Not far from three distinctive beaches, our meandering 19th Century stone house (150 square meters) is like an enchanting movie set for a fairy story; country furniture, colors and paintings in every room, English/French library, double bedrooms four outdoor terraces, adjoining fields, a shaded garden dining area; everywhere there are olive trees, almond trees, fig trees, flowers, winding roads and of course, the sea.
Kythira is breathtaking and one of the last unspoiled islands- NO high rise buildings and only a reasonable amount of tourists but with enough beaches, taverns, restaurants, events, etc. to pass a great holiday. In summer months there are wine festivals, local celebrations and live music in many restaurants and beach cafes.
Ferries go regularly for shopping and sightseeing trips to Gythion, and Neapolis on the mainland and to Crete and Pireus. |
