  We went with a group and most everyone stayed in the condos in the front. We rented this cottage. When we first go there to our surprise was amazed at the gated community. When we pulled up to the cottage we immediately fell in love. It was perfect for our group. We had a very short walk to the beach, but the kids loved the set up between the pools and all the activities. For the most part, we cooked out and hung out at the cottage every night and were at the beach everyday, all day long. The beaches are incredible and very, very clean!!! My son has hockey nationals this year, or we would be returning in a heartbeat. Trying to see when we can get back again!! And the owner was great to work with.

  Our family LOVES coming to the Codys' Beach House! This is the third summer we have come and it is the highlight of our year! All our children and their families come when they can, depending on when they can get vacation. The location is perfect ~ close to the beach, and we love having our own cottage! The Codys are super gracious people who always make us feel welcome and their cottage is gorgeous, cosy and so homey and relaxing! We love getting away to this lovely haven and spend time with our family. This year, we had downpours of rain for a large part of our time there, which was very unusual ~ But it was still awesome because the Olympics were on, so we hung out together and watched the Games! We truly feel that God has blessed us richly through these dear people, and their willingness to share their lovely spacious Beach House with us! We always hate to leave, but come home refreshed! Each year, our kids say, "Same time, next year!! Thank you so much to the Codys!!

  We had a GREAT time in Destin - We had over 20 family members in cottages during our stay - Ours was the best by far - Ours had the most updates, most modern furniture etc - LOVED the hardwood - made it s much easier with all the sand - The parking was GREAT - enough by our cottage for 3 cars!! The outdoor grassy area was also nice - and having the one pool so close was another perk - The beach was beautiful and not too crowded . . . just a fantastic time!!

  As returning renters, our family consistently loves this wonderful beach home for many reasons. First and foremost, the owner is a joy to work with! We cannot say enough good things about our experiences! Year after year, they are the best! Second, the home is bright, clean, very accommodating, great/safe neighborhood and the location could not be any better! Third, the amenities (2 pools, private beach/beach service, tennis courts, game room, exercise room and green space on property; Grocery store, restaurants, outlets/shopping and walking/bike trails within walking distance). They are fantastic and allow everyone the freedom to choose their daily activities and truly have a relaxing vacation! Fourth, those sugar sand beaches, clear blue waters...we could go on, but will spare the entry that reads like a novel! Definitely rent this home, you will not be disappointed! :)

  Our family has been going to the Mainsail for years. We really enjoyed this beautiful cottage and had plenty of room for two families. It was convenient to the beach, the pools and very kid friendly. The owners were easy to work with and very accommodating. We will definitely use this vacation cottage in the future!

  This cottage at Mainsail in Destin was immaculate and very close to the heated pool. Mainsail is a gated community on the beach at the junction of old 98 and new 98 - right across from the Silver Sand outlet mall. There is a huge grassy area w/ a path around - perfect for children to romp when they are tired of swimming and building sandcastles and perfect for scooters or bikes. This cottage is an easy stroll to the beach and includes 2 chairs and an umbrella set up each day. There are also tennis courts, a workout room, a hot tub and another (cold) pool. This cottage features an open floor plan w/ a nice kitchen, master on main (w/ a walk in closet perfect for a pack and play!) and powder room on main. Laundry is also on main. Upstairs there is one bedroom w/ a balcony and a queen sized bed and another bedroom w/ bunk beds - bottom bunk is a double. Hall bath. The owner was very easy to deal with and seriously concerned that we have a great experience. We would definitely go back and highly recommend this to anyone else - esp families!

  The cottage was exactly as advertised. We found it to be cozy, comfortable, and very spacious. The hardwood floors and granite countertops complimented the lovely decor'. Each room was warm and inviting with that perfect cottage feel. We were just steps away from both pools and the beautiful beach was just a 5 minute walk. Everyday during out stay we walked up the beach to the Whales Tail for morning coffee or a coctail at sunset. The cottage is directly across the street from Silver Sands Outlet Mall, which has many many stores. It is also just a short drive to numerous fine eating establishments. Some of our favorites were, Back Porch, Pompano Joe's, Capt.Dave's and Fisherman's Wharf. Also appreciated the free wi fi enabling us to keep up with the home front. Would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a relaxing and pampering enviroment at the beach.

  My family and I (four adults and four kids) stayed at the Mainsail Beach Cottage over Thanksgiving week and absolutely loved everything about it! The location couldn't be more perfect! Located in a private gated community with so many amenities and on a private beach...it was a slice of heaven. The house has the perfect layout, decorated so cute, and comfortably slept all eight of us. The super large kitchen was fully equiped with everything we needed to prepare and cook our Thanksgiving Feast. We loved the double patio doors that we left open all day and enjoyed the fresh air while our kids counted their shells on the patio or played in the beautifully landscaped common area right outside the back patio while we cooked breakfast and lunch. Aside from the house being so charming, it's location was perfect. We walked to the grocery store across the road and to the souvenier shop. Directly accross the highway is the best brandnew shopping strip in all of Destin! We ate at all the famous restaurants located within 5 to 15 minutes from the house. We loved the private beach with it's sugary white sands and emerald green water! Starting at 6 am, we walked three miles a day on the beautiful coast and aside from coming back to the house for breakfast and lunch, we stayed at the beach all day! Mr. Cody welcomed us with a call upon arrival to check and see if we made it and needed anything. The security guard at the gate was extremely friendly and helpful in recommending great restaurants. The neighbors and other vacationers were so friendly and fun to hang out with and told stories about the 20 plus years they have been enjoying this beautiful coast! We are already planning our summer vacation back to the Cody's Beach Cottage and plan to stay longer than a week!

  Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your home. Thanks for helping us to make great memories with our family. We like to stay at the Mainsail property. This is the first time staying in this particular cottage, but definitely will not be our last. Truly a great place and great owners to work with!
