We really enjoyed our month in this condo. It was decorated very nicely and was extremely clean, which we did appreciate. Everything you could ever need (and more) was provided. No shortage of dishes, linens, etc. It is a wonderful place to bring your pet--so many places to walk and our "Westie" thoroughly enjoyed meeting many doggy friends on each walk! Also, the owners are great people and very helpful. An added plus--a great bed, which we did NOT have in our unit last year. Our favorite restaurants were The Crab Trap (great gumbo) and Fisherman's Wharf (best scallops around).

My family and I just got back from a wonderful vacation in Destin. The condo was the perfect place to stay - it was located on a golf course, right across from a fabulous pool and short walk to the beautiful beach. The condo was so close to restaurants, stores and bike rentals. We were able to walk anywhere we wanted to go. The condo location was also perfect because it was so quiet and serene, a perfect place to relax! We will definitely be back. Thank you!

The perfect home away from home!

This was the perfect place for us!! It was important for us to find a nice but pet friendly rental, (we wanted to bring our dog as well as our daughter and her friend). The location was great.it was ground level for easy access to the 2 pool we used daily, a great back yard for the whole family, basketball court and tennis court are seconds from the front door. We felt right at home. The beach tram took us to the main beach area or we walked, and when we had alot of stuff to spend the whole day at the beach we drive the car and parked at the lot by the beach to make set up easy. Nothing like what I expected...pictures are not up to date!

I was very disappointed in this rental. The pictures of the condo are very outdated. The wallpaper is torn, the walls are scratched. The villa looked as if it had not been cleaned in quite some time. Very dusty, dirty furniture, and the comforters were full of dog hair. The owner of the villa went out of his way to take care of the issues but we will not stay here in the future. Also if you are looking for something close to the beach...this is at least a 10 min walk to the beach. Other than that the beaches were great...we had good food and overall the trip itself was good!

Owner response:We try hard to please our guests. Every once in a while there is one hard to please. Take a look at other reviews. Not everyone sees the same thing the same way. And our photos are exactly what you get.

Pet Friendly Condo

They always say you will get what you pay for. The price was good but this condo is very outdated. It needs a complete paint job, some new carpet or tile in the bedroom,and on and on. The silver(flat)ware is old and some of the glasses in the kitchen is so cloudy it was hard to see thru them. My wife refused to use any of the non-stick pots(just worn out). We were not able to use the patio because a crew of painters had the patio covered up for 6 of my 7 days. Thanks for Sundays, they were off. Also the termite man showed up one day and spread all his chemicals around which is not a good sign for my little dog. Speaking of dogs, when you walk your dog outside the condo you must dodge ant hills about every 4-5 feet(try this at night time). You will feel a little more comfortable sitting on the couches if you cover them with a blanket(they are not clean). Could go on and on about this place but what's the use because the owner will dispute all of my review.One thing he can't dispute is that we left one early because the wife said "Get me out of this place now".

Great Pet Friendly Condo

We rented this unit this April. It is on the ground floor which makes it very pet friendly. Alot of green grass to walk the dog. The condo is completely furnished and comfortable. The price is very affordable compared to other units in the area. You won't find another owner like Rich. He is very likable and is hands-on with any problem or question. Being on the 13th fairway, I had the opportunity to check out alot of other hackers just like myself. Overall, the visit was nice.

Great property for for the family and pets

We stayed at the property through Christmas 2010 and had a great time. This property is convenient to evrything. The golf course was very nice for the "dead of winter" and our stay was very pleasant. Didn't get to play tennis on the clay courts but was impressed with their condition. We will stay here again when we head back to Destin.

We enjoyed every moment of our stay. The condo is very nice and comfortable. Seascape is a very quiet and beautiful area. The condo was fully equipped and very clean. It felt just like home. We always take our min pins on vacation with us and this place was perfect for them. A lot of grassy area right outside your door. Everything he said about the condo rings true!!! We loved and will stay again. Thanks for the wonderful stay here in Destin.

My family and I stayed in this condo, and we had a wonderful experience ! The condo was very clean and it was fixed up very nice. The view and surroundings were beautiful !!! You entered through a security gate which made me feel safe. It also was a great place to walk your dog. Oh, and the beach was beautiful ! To sum it up, it simply felt like home. My family and I plan to go back in the future.

Our stay at Seascape Resort was great! Our Condo was just what we wanted.... large enough for two people, yet small enough to be very comfortable and affordable. Our unit was nicely furnished and the kitchen was complete with up-to-date appliances. The ability to just walk out and have coffee on the patio made vacation mornings very enjoyable. The bathroom shower was small and might not be comfortable for plus sizes. The only negative that I noticed was the lack of talented golfers. On more than one occasion I found errant golf balls near my car. Thankfully, we had no dings. Overall, I am happy to recommend Rich's condo for a nice get-away.

Great Family Vacation!

This condominium was perfect for our family of five. We were very close to the beach and the condominium was directly on the golf course. The place was clean and has a full kitchen, so we were able to save money and prepare some meals, instead of eating out all the time. We have three teenage boys and we had a blast!

The condo was just as described and was ready even before check-in time.(I called the day before and said we'd be there in the morning, so he had it cleaned early) We were able to get in mid-morning and go to the close pool before noon. The owner was always available when I called him and very helpful & informative. I would definately recommend this property to anyone. We've been going to Destin for years, but never stayed this far east. It was so close to the outlet mall, it was easy for me to make at least 4 trips there.(The BEST outlet mall) The location is great...close to the beach, pool, main streets, restaurants, and pet friendly!

We found no negatives with our visit and have booked again already. The condo was clean and bright, on the ground floor, great parking, pet friendly, 100ft from the pool, across the street from the beach, and right on the golf course. Combine that with the best rates in Destin and we found an unbeatable combination. We did not find mold, bugs on the silverware, or dirty glasses. The owner is quite friendly and very easy to get along with.

If you seek a location close to the shore, shopping, and central to the golf, tennis and swimming facilities available at beautiful Seascape Resort, you will enjoy your time in this unit. We were particularly pleased to stay in this ground level unit and enjoy the porch and the green area where the sun shines brightly. The lower level was also very convenient for taking our pet dog outside. This resort's roads are enjoyed by walkers, joggers and bicyclers alike. Whether you want to walk to the beach or simply walk around Lake Stewart, you will enjoy being out in the sun.

Fantastic anniversary week

We found the atmosphere relaxing and comfortable, especially the fact that there is lots of room to walk around in the resort. The gardening and landscaping is very attractive. The decor in the unit is charming and fresh with all the furnishings and appliances up to date, sparkling clean. The price seemed reasonable compared to all the condos that we enquired about. We're already trying to make plans to go back again.

Seascape Condo

My husband and I rented this unit this past October. We have been renting from them since 2000 (twice a year). We have always enjoyed being on the golf course having a green space around us. The unit is always clean and neat. The owners are always attentive to our needs to the point of almost being family. The owner is always hands-on and willing to answer any of our questions regarding the area. He even has menus for dining convenience and articles and publications for current activities and events in the area. They are constantly updating the unit with new appliances, furniture and furnishings. This unit is pet friendly and we appreciate the fact that we are allowed to bring our four-legged family with us. We have recommended some of our friends to this rental location. We will continue to schedule our visits to Destin and stay with this particular owner.

Do not rent this Unit

We did and totally regret it. The place was disgusting. Mold growth in the bathrooms and kitchen. What appeared to be insect turds on the silverware. Drinking glasses you could not see through. We contacted the owner and all we can say is that in our opinion he was 100% annoyed to be contacted. He was annoyed that the place was in such poor condition. He came across as annoyed to be bothered about it. He let us know he was out of town and our calling was disrupting his trip. He made sure to make it clear there would be no monitary compensation for the inconvienence. He did state he would send the cleaning service back over. But told us we would need to wait until they arrived, however long that took. We took pictures. We will gladly email them. I expect the other units in this complex are just fine. I would just make sure you stay away from this unit and any others this man owns. He was very pleasant when we were arranging the rental. But it was like we were dealing with a different person as soon as we mentioned there was a problem. I would have been embarrassed to have someone see this unit in the condition it was in if I owned it, never mind actually have people give me money to use it. Zero pride of ownership. We ended up leaving after a few hours, forefitting our deposit. It was that bad.

Owner response:The complaintant reserved our condo 4 nights Sept. 13-16 and made a deposit to reserve the condo. I was out of town attending my grandson's wedding the day the complaintant arrived but received a call from her demanding a refund of her deposit. I inspected the condo before I left town, just before the complaintant arrived, and found it in excellent condition.I therefore declined to return her deposit but said I would have my cleaning person inspect the condo and correct any problems. The complaintant refused to await an inspection saying she was leaving to stay with friends. When I returned I inspected the condo and again found it in excellent condition. The silverware was clean as was the entire condo. The glass in two drinking glasses was cloudy but that was the way the glasses were made. They were not dirty.
