In spring, Squam Lakes offer great fishing (trout, bass, salmon) and beautiful scents and colors. During the summer months go for a boat ride and welcome the Bald Eagles and watch their hatchling grow.
Foliage season - the views are breathtaking, the air, crisp. The winter months, skiing is fantastic and you are centrally located to nearly a dozen ski resorts! Year Purchased: 2001
We are a family of 6, we own an automobile dealership in Laconia 20 minutes away, this home is our getaway home. This home is not strictly a rental, therefore, the quality and cleanliness can not be beat! Owners,with others, actually clean the home to be certain cleanliness is optimum! We have chosen to share our home with others when we have obligations pulling us elsewhere. It is such a great spot, we are certain all will enjoy as much as we do!
Why the Owner Chose Holderness
Squam Lakes have always been a favorite spot for us, being lucky enough to grow up in The Lakes Region of NH, we are fortunate to know the pros and cons of each vacation area. Squam Lakes are greatly preserved, nature is respect on Squam, and we hope to help keep it the unique destination it is. If you are looking to get away from the city, or just "normal everyday life", Squam is perfect! The scenery can not be beat, the lake is patroled so that you still may canoe and kayak and not be run over by a 70' cigarette boat. If you are looking to show off what path in life you have taken, and all you have accumulated, this area is not for you. Here, pack a picnic lunch, explore the islands and cove of Squam, and bring some ben gay because here on Squam we are happy to have you and we will wave to you out on the lake, be prepared! We believe "On Golden Pond" was a great potrayal of what Squam is an era, thought to have, gone by but it is here alive and well! Sit back, relax and remember vacation times when family was the most important thing in your life. That's what we get out of the property.
The Unique Benefits of this Beautiful Lakefront House
There is a 100 ft sandy beach 500 ft down the property, you may choose to join other guests at the beach or wade in the crystal waters right off the dock at the end of the deck. A dock could be arranged for a small fee.
