Quiet surroundings conducive to peaceful thoughts

Dear Rosemary and Francis, We so enjoyed all the comforts of home in your nicely decorated honeymoon apartment. You have thought of everything! We enjoyed the quiet surroundings conducive to peaceful thoughts, many moments of quiet meditation and a stilling of the inner soul. We hiked at Mt. Greylock a couple days, enjoyed our kayaks on the lake and had a wonderful visit with our little grandson. We also enjoyed your flower garden, watching the chipmunks and the hummingbirds. It has been a memorable 44th Anniversary weekend! Thank you :-)

Moose, mountain, Pissarro, Pontoosuc and more. ...

Guest: Sally & Mike, Brooklyn, NY (-)
Date of Stay: 08/20/11 Review Submitted: 08/21/11

(From our in-house Guest Book) Dear Fran and Rosemary, Enjoyed our 2nd stay this week in your wonderful cottage! We could not count all the moose, but, so thoroughly enjoyed finding them here and there, throughout the cottage. Although there was a lot of rain, we did a lot, including the Pissarro exhibit at the Clark, Jacob's Pillow, Finian's Rainbow (at Berkshire Theatre Festival) & 2 quick trips to Albany and Manchester, VT. Even managed to hike at Mt. Greylock & enjoyed swimming & floating in Lake Pontoosuc. The ducks are a delight! Thanks, again, for creating this warm & welcoming home away from home! Fondly,

Dear Fran & Rosemary, We enjoyed your cozy apartment. It had all we needed for a week of quiet & comfort. Olivia loved breakfast on the back porch -- watching chipmunks, baby robins & the woodpecker. She also enjoyed helping Fran water the flowers. We appreciate your kindness. Thank- you,

Date of Stay: 07/08/11 Review Submitted: 07/09/11

(From our in-house Guest Book) Fran & Rosemary, Thanks for your hospitality. Your "Sweet Suite" was a perfect place from which to explore the Berkshires. From Tanglewood to the joys of Stockbridge, the Shaker Village, Theatre & a memorable 4th of July Parade in Pittsfield to the Lincoln Home in Vermont, we saw it all and barely made a dent in the possibilities. And oh, yes, the beautiful lake! We hope to make our way up from Texas again! Steve & Hilda

(From our In-House Guest Book) Dear Fran and Rosemary, We so appreciate your thoughtful hospitality -- it was such a pleasure to have such helpful hosts! As natives of the Berkshires, we were so fortunate to have this as our "base of operations" while reconnecting with so many of our friends in the area. I just wish we could have spent a little more time relaxing in your little haven by the lake, where bird watching was such a treat! Thank you so much. John and MaryJane

(From our In-House Guest Book) Dear Rosemary and Francis, We really enjoyed our time spent here at the cottage. So much so, that we worked our schedule around spending more time by the lake!! Now going back to the city, we feel rejuvenated and relaxed. Thank you for your warm hospitality. You two truly "go the extra mile" to make your guests feel right at home. We definitely feel that way and wish we could stay! The Berkshires are truly beautiful and we look forward to coming back here again. Avi & Baila, Lakewood, NJ
