This house is the product of an eighteen-month long radical remodel that focused meticulous attention to the reinvigoration of an old design, with an emphasis on the integration of indoor and outdoor space. The result is a cook's dream and relaxing oasis, with beautiful views of the Cascades and Downtown Bend.
Lucinder consists of two bedrooms and one bathroom with vintage-inspired ceramic tiles and bath. The kitchen is the heart of this house, surrounded with windows and adjacent to the enormous outdoor deck that sits high above Lava Road. The stainless appliances and bountiful Paperstone countertops offer endless possibilities for entertaining and relaxing. The living room with vaulted ceiling and hand-plastered walls, is furnished with mid-century designer pieces and lookout onto the historic neighborhood of Northwest Georgia Road. The lot is over 8000 square feet and fenced and landscaped to offer privacy and space.
Other features of Lucinder include gas heat, air conditioning, custom lighting, JennAir gas range, Bosch dishwasher, maple floors throughout, washer and dryer, custom blinds, wireless internet, free long-distance, phone, cable and easy accessibility to downtown. There is off-street parking for one car and ample street parking.
Rental include free passes to McMenamin's Old St. Francis School Turkish Soaking Pool and Movie Theatre. Towels and instructions are provided in the house.

Super-fine digs in the heart of Bend

This pad blends the best of many worlds -- 21st century furnishings, appliances and high-end touches in a renovated classic home; a location that both lets you stroll into town (2-5 minute easy walk) to enjoy all of Bend's cafes, shops, restaurants AND easy access to roads to head out of town to the mountains, the lakes, the rivers and all the beauty of the surrounding outdoor areas; two decks, one upstairs with a great gas grill for awesome al fresco dining and another down by the bodacious private hot tub. Oh, did I mention that the beds are awesome and that, depending upon the weather and your preference, you can choose to sleep with the well-screened windows open or with the central air on? I've stayed and rented VRBOs across the US and Canada, as well as in properties in the UK and France, and Lucinder is primo.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, families with young children.
