Location: Gravel Lake, Southwest, Michigan, USA (2 hr frm Chicago, 1 hr from Notre Dame, near Kalamazoo)
Accommodations: Lake House, 4 Bedrooms, 1.5 Baths (Sleeps 7-8)
Lake front, sandy beach, private property on beautiful, 300 acre, all sports Gravel Lake, just south of Paw Paw (Exit 60 off of I-94) in Lawton, Michigan. Four bedroom, one and one-half bath, very modern cottage available for weekly & monthly rental. Bedrooms consist of:
1. Master with full bed and entrance to Master Bath.
2. Bedroom with full bed and seperate entrance to Master Bath
3. 1 set of bunk beds (2 twin beds total)
4. 1 small bedroom with a crib
Full sized couch in TV room.
New carpet/wood floors/stone shower, granite kitchen. Air-conditioning, ceiling fans throughout, basic cable (including ESPN), microwave, vcr, dvd, stereo w/ cd, gas grill, fire pit, large interior sun room and exterior deck with four adirondack chairs with views of the entire lake. Our deck overlooks our perfectly maintained, sloped grass back yard (perfect for a game of bag-toss or for the kids to run around on when not in the lake). The property is on a peninsula with the entire lake in front and channel in back/behind our neighbors, which makes for very little car traffic.
Use of our canoe, kayak and paddle boat are free with rental contract and hold-harmless agreement.
During winter months we are a 15 min drive from Swiss Valley ski resort and within 35 min of Timber Trails, call or email me for additional info in regards to skiing/snowboarding/tubing!
Ice Fishing right outside the door on our 300 acre lake and several wineries nearby that would love you to swing by to try some samples, open year round.
Sandy bottom shallow entry into lake. Pier available to dock your own boat. Several golf courses and a driving range in the area, the closest an eight-minute drive. Horseback riding, winery tours and road biking from your doorstep to a few minutes away (email me for any specifics you need). Plenty of restaurants and entertainment in Lawton/PawPaw (pubs, restaurants, movies, bowling, ice cream barns, antique shops).
Two hour drive from downtown Chicago (unless you leave during Friday rush hour), approximately one hour to Notre Dame/South Bend, 15 minutes to Paw Paw, 30 minutes to Western Michigan University and Kalamazoo. 15 minutes to Swiss Valley Ski Resort, 30-45 min drive to Timber Ridge Ski Resort.
Our children are currently 3 and 5 and the home is incredibly clean and kid friendly. We have a good assortment of kids games, reading books, coloring books, crayons and toys that we leave up year round. There is also a big box of kids beach toys on the back lakeside deck for their entertainment while down in the sand. Sorry, absolutely no pets. No smoking in house.
In the long term we are looking for a small, trusted group of families and responsible adults to rent to when we are not at the lake ourselves. I am available to meet in person in Chicago or locally in Michigan to discuss any additional info you are interested in.

Rate Details (In US Dollars)
Weekly Rentals Start Noon Saturdays, end 8am Saturdays Michigan EST Time
Jan-May:$600 per week except Memorial Wkend. $250 Long-weekend rates available
June: $1300.
July-Aug: $1500 a week,
Sept-Oct: $700 per week, weekend rates available with full deposit
Nov-May: $600 per week, weekend rates available with full deposit
$500 Deposit due upon reserving dates and returning contract.
Pontoon Weekly Rental: Additional $250
